I visited the restaurant for the second time because there was a 20% cashback campaign with PayPay. As I declared last time, I ordered the "niku-tsuke" combination in a large portion (+100 yen for 800g) and added extra ingredients (+150 yen). After a while, a large plate of Musashino udon and soba was served! It had quite a presence. The classic "niku-tsuke" broth of Musashino udon had a generous amount of meat due to the extra ingredients, and the flavors blended nicely. The udon had a strong chewy texture, and the soba also had a firm texture. It was nice to be able to enjoy both in one dish. I managed to finish the 800g of noodles somehow! I don't think I can do it again though. Next time, I want to try the Kunitachi vegetable udon that caught my eye. Thank you for the meal.

I visited because I was curious about the thick handmade udon noodles! There were many old signs posted outside, which made me feel a little hesitant to go in, but once I entered, it was fine! There were also many signs inside, which was interesting! I ordered the countryside tsukemen udon and a soba combination, and as rumored, the regular size was 600g which was a lot, so I opted for the small size of 400g for 910 yen! The udon noodles were indeed very thick as expected, and even when eaten without dipping in the broth, they were surprisingly delicious! The broth had plenty of toppings and was also delicious.

4th visit. The interior has a cozy Showa-era atmosphere where you can enjoy delicious noodles. This time, I tried the limited-time mountain vegetable grated udon. It was my first time trying the cold version, but maybe because it was chilled, the noodles were a bit too firm and had too much bite for my liking. I prefer warm noodles, so I will visit again.

I tried challenging the regular portion size after always getting a small portion, and I think it was about 600 grams which was fine. However, towards the end, I started to get a bit tired of the taste. I think I prefer the small portion after all! Thank you for the meal.

From Tiger Bar to here. Here you can eat Musashino Udon and Soba. There are many Jiro's around, but is Matsugoan the main one? I vaguely remember visiting the shop in Higashi-Tokorozawa between work. The udon was wild and delicious, still vivid in my memory as the starting point of my Saitama udon pilgrimage. Accompanied by a follower, we ordered _________. Kassen special junmai for 600 yen, Gasshimi (small) for 860 yen. Kassen is the "phantom sake" of Fussa. The taste of rice is good. Tipsy, I joked about giving the follower a "back throw," but with my weight, it's impossible. The Gasshimi (small) is a combination of 400g of udon and 300g of soba, quite a volume. The follower had a normal portion (600g of udon, 500g of soba), and with the special portion, it would be 1kg and 900g, right? The served udon and soba looked very delicious, so I regretted not ordering the special portion. The broth is the same, similar to the meat juice of Musashino Udon, sweet and delicious. It was almost the same as the one I had in Higashi-Tokorozawa. It was delicious! I vowed to come back to Saitama for udon in the summer. It was a weekend night. Thank you for the meal. Thank you to the follower who joined me.

I went back to my hometown for the first time in a while for some time off, and after finishing our first stop, my friend MYF and I took a pumpkin carriage back home. MYF wanted to come here, a place we never had the chance to visit together before due to conflicting schedules. Luckily, there was a seat available today, so we decided to wait for it. We started with drinks, trying the local Hida sake called "Jingoro," which was easy to drink. I recommended the rare "Kazen" sake from a Tokyo brewery to MYF. For our main dish, we ordered the meat platter (normal size, 600g), along with gentle Musashino udon and wild country soba. The dipping sauce was slightly sweet but had a rich flavor from the oil and dashi, staying flavorful until the last bite. The portion of meat was generous, and we thought we could have even ordered the larger size. It was great to finally visit this restaurant on my to-do list.

Today, I went to Kokubunji for work and had a pretty late lunch at 3:00 PM. As I walked around doing some research, I found a place called Jingo-san! It seemed to be open all day, which was convenient. I was happy to see that they had udon as their main dish. I ordered the meat tsuke-udon from the menu. After a while, it arrived! The dipping sauce was light and refreshing. The noodles were firm and chewy, which I really liked! At first, I didn't think the portion was that big, but it turned out to be quite filling. I ended up finishing it all and was very satisfied. It was delicious!

Around 1pm, I entered the restaurant without waiting in line. It was my first time there, so I ordered the "Tsukemen" which is a combination of udon and soba noodles with sesame miso sauce in a regular size. Even the regular size is 600g, so it's quite a large portion and you need to be really hungry to finish it all. The udon noodles, being Musashino udon, were firm and chewy. The sesame miso sauce goes well with hot weather. Next time, I think I'll go for the small size (400g) and eat more comfortably.

The atmosphere is nice. While waiting for my order, I counted how many clocks are in the store, haha. I ordered the mixed duck soup large portion and a side of pickles. There were not many pickles. The portion of noodles has clearly decreased compared to before. The soba soup with alcohol was also weak in alcohol content. The price, value, and portion size are good, but there's something different compared to before. The service is also so-so. It feels a bit careless.

I liked it so much that I visited for the second time. This time, I ordered a mix of udon and soba noodles. They came with separate dipping sauces and condiments. The udon was delicious as always, with a firm texture. However, the soba noodles were too soft this time, lacking the usual chewiness. It seemed like they may have been boiled for too long due to a large number of orders coming in at once.

This is my xth time using this restaurant. I ordered duck soup and a combination of udon and soba, which cost 910 yen for a small portion with a discount of 50 yen. Every time I order, I see the menu and think, "The bukkake udon is 500 yen cheaper." However, I always forget. Next time, I will definitely try ordering it.

A place where you can enjoy hearty udon and soba noodles. The retro Showa era exterior and interior also function as an izakaya at night. It was cold and rainy, so I ordered a warm vegetable-filled udon with extra meat. In addition to carrots, cabbage, and enoki mushrooms, there were several types of leafy vegetables. The udon noodles had a good texture typical of Musashino udon. I didn't get the noodles extra, so I didn't get too full. I was able to have a balanced and healthy meal according to my mood that day, so I was satisfied. If you want to get full, I recommend the combination of udon and soba noodles.

I wanted to go but felt it might be difficult for a girl to go alone (because of the atmosphere of the restaurant haha) and didn't have the opportunity. So I came with a friend. I was a bit scared of the portion size, so I ordered a half portion. I wanted to try both udon and soba. The staff was very polite. We ordered the lamb combination plate and it was delicious! The udon was chewy and the soba was a bit thin, which I liked. If you prefer 100% soba, you might find it a bit lacking. I think even if you come alone, it should be fine. I saw a woman dining alone and thought it was nice. I want to come back again. Thank you for the meal!

First visit, arrived at 15:40 with one customer already there, and was promptly seated at the counter. I ordered the Meat Tsukemen and Udon Combo for 960 yen. It was a normal serving size, around 600 grams. The dish was served in about 15 minutes. It was quite a generous portion. The noodles were thick and flat, with a chewy texture similar to boiled fish cake, and had a mild firmness. There was a fragrant aroma of whole wheat. The soba noodles were slightly thicker and had a soft texture like the udon. The broth was not too salty but had a solid flavor. The toppings included pork, green onions, and a few shiitake mushrooms. The pork was well-marinated and delicious. The portion of noodles was large and satisfying. It was very delicious. Thank you for the meal! 🍜

Musashino Udon is amazing! The noodles are thick, chewy, and very filling! I ordered the small size with extra meat, and it looks like it's about 400g? The soba noodles also have a nice texture and taste great. The broth for the meat is rich and thick. Since the noodles are delicious, a simpler broth might be better.

The retro interior of the shop exudes a strong Showa era vibe with retro signs and old wall clocks displayed. The menu is roughly divided into two categories: dipping udon (or soba) and hot soup udon. Today being a warm day, many people are eating dipping udon inside the shop. I also considered ordering dipping udon, but the pork kimchi udon caught my eye. After much hesitation, I ended up ordering the pork kimchi udon. When it arrived, the bowl was huge. I didn't think about it when I ordered, but the regular portion contains 500g of udon, so it was filled to the brim with udon and pork kimchi. The color wasn't very red, so I was a bit skeptical, but after taking a sip of the soup, it was deliciously spicy - just right. The udon was thick and had a nice chewy texture. I ate each strand one by one, enjoying the experience. Eating 500g of udon one by one made me feel like I could keep going forever. I drank the soup while enjoying the udon, and finally finished the whole bowl. I was full and satisfied. Thank you for the meal.

I have been using this place quite often recently. On this day, I ordered the tororo soba. Even the small size is 300 grams of noodles, which is quite a lot. Towards the end, my speed slowed down a bit. If I were to get "half," it would be 200 grams, but that seems a bit too little. The noodles were moist and delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I visited this place for work after hearing that they have delicious udon. The exterior has a nostalgic atmosphere with traditional Japanese decorations. Inside, there are retro Showa-era signs and a vintage clock. I ordered udon or soba with a choice of dipping sauce. I chose the duck broth dipping sauce and ordered a small size. Even though it was a small portion, it was quite filling. The udon had a great texture and was very satisfying to eat. The flavor was unique and delicious. The broth was just right and tasty. The more I ate, the more I liked it. The soba was also delicious and surprisingly easy to finish. Thank you for the meal.

I had been curious for a while, and finally visited this place for the first time. The second floor had tatami rooms, but they were reserved for a group, so we sat at a table on the first floor. We started with a cold beer and enjoyed dishes like pickled plums, tofu, and simmered pork while moving on to sake. I tried a tasting set of four kinds of Sawa no Tani sake. It had been a while since I had Aoten, and it was still delicious. Finally, we shared half portions of Musashino udon and soba noodles with meat broth. The udon had a great texture, and the soba was chewy and very tasty. Thank you for the meal!

A short walk from Kokubunji Station, there is a Musashino Udon restaurant. I visited this place at night and ordered the "Udon Niku-tsuke" (850 yen + extra noodles 150 yen). The udon that arrived was a huge portion, weighing a total of 800 grams. The noodles were served cold, but not overly chilled, just slightly below room temperature. This was perfect as chilling the noodles too much can affect the flavor. The noodles were firm but easy to chew, so it was not tiring to eat. They went down smoothly, especially with the slightly salty dipping sauce. The balance of saltiness was just right, allowing the flavor of the wheat noodles to shine. However, towards the end, the dipping sauce became a bit too salty. The green onions and seaweed provided as condiments added a nice touch to the dish. Mixing them in towards the end changed the flavor profile nicely. I think I'll try the extra-large portion (1 kilogram) next time.

In March, I visited Jingoro in Kokubunji area for udon based on a search on Tabelog. The restaurant has a retro exterior and interior, and the seating may feel a bit tight for larger individuals. The menu offers a combination of udon and soba, with a normal serving of 600g, large serving of 800g, and special serving of 1kg, all at the same price. There are also smaller options available at a slightly lower price. I ordered the Lamb Tsuke Udon in small size for 900 yen. My companion ordered the Duck Soup Udon in half size for 800 yen. I also ordered the Lamb Tsuke Udon combination in normal size for 1,060 yen. The udon had a slightly greenish color and a firm texture with a strong flavor. The soba had a mix of skin and flat noodles with a chewy texture. The broth was flavorful but on the salty side. Overall, it's a good place for those who enjoy generous portions.
