Meat Daigo @ Daigo, Fushimi-ku, Kyoto City - A renowned local restaurant in Daigo
This review was written before I was hospitalized due to heart failure. I decided to have dinner at this restaurant where I had helped with the opening 10 years ago, as I was staying in Yamashina after a long time. The menu includes a variety of sashimi, including Omi beef, domestic beef, and imported beef, with clear labeling of the organ type. Some of the dishes we enjoyed were Omi beef Yukke, Omi beef tongue sashimi, Omi beef heart sashimi, assorted Omi beef, Omi beef skirt steak, Omi beef hoso, Omi beef tsumami, and Omi beef red liver. The meal ended with delicious Sundubu. It was a great experience revisiting "Meat Daigo" after a long time. Meat Daigo, 1-1 Ikedamachi, Daigo, Fushimi-ku, Kyoto City, 601-1362. Phone: 075-573-5329.

It is a restaurant with a nice atmosphere and terrace seats on the top when viewed from the outside! It's the season to try eating on the terrace next time. The restaurant has a lot of seats and is child-friendly. The seared sushi was very delicious! It may feel oily, but the grated radish on top makes the aftertaste refreshing! It was incredibly tasty! The menu is extensive, and you can choose from mild or spicy sauces! The restroom was also very clean! Thank you very much!

I revisited a yakiniku restaurant in Daigo, Fushimi-ku, Kyoto, recommended by a friend for lunch. The restaurant has a clean and spacious atmosphere with a parking lot in front. I ordered the harami and premium kalbi set meals. Each set costs 1580 yen and comes with 5 thick and tender slices of meat. I asked for the special chili pepper to add to the sauce, which enhanced the flavor. I also added an extra order of harami later on. The rice, made with Omachi rice, was cooked soft and we could have unlimited refills. As we left, we were offered a small cup of frozen sherbet as a complimentary treat at the register.

I went to Niku no Daigo for Sunday lunch. It's a yakiniku restaurant run by a butcher shop. It was my first time there and I had the Upper Kalbi set meal, with additional Kalbi and mixed hormones. Everything was delicious and you can have unlimited rice with free refills. They also have a curry you can add to your meal. I left feeling very full. Next time, I want to go in the evening and try different types of beef.

My partner has been here before, but it was my first time visiting. We decided to try the lunch menu and ordered the Kalbi set (1080 yen) and the Harami set (1580 yen) to share. The Kalbi was decent, while the Harami was quite tasty. The prices seemed fair for the quality of the food. The amount of meat in the set meals was a bit small, but when combined with the salad and soup, it was enough to fill us up. It's a good place to enjoy a casual yakiniku lunch. There are 8 parking spaces in front of the restaurant. (There is also parking nearby, but I'm not sure where it is.)

Having lunch with my wife at a nearby delicious yakiniku restaurant! You can eat Omi beef at a reasonable price! I had the Harami set meal, while my wife had the sirloin and tongue set meal. The amount of meat for the price is quite generous. All-you-can-eat rice! Comes with salad, soup, and kimchi! The meat is always good quality no matter when you come! It was delicious! Thank you for the meal! Ψ( 'ч' ☆)

Niku no Daigo: This seriously delicious shaved ice is priced at 880 yen, but it's definitely worth it! The strawberry, mango, and matcha flavors are all tasty, but this one is exceptional! Make sure not to pour all the sauce at once, save some to pour over halfway through.

Specializing in Omi beef, this meat wholesaler-operated yakiniku restaurant offers a wide range of lunch options. Today's recommendation is the "Omi Beef Houchi Set Meal" for 1980 yen, originally priced at 2180 yen. The prideful "rare cut" label catches your eye, promising a delicious dining experience. The thick cuts of meat are beautifully marbled and the presentation is stunning. The meat melts in your mouth, complemented by a delicious sauce that enhances its flavors. For those feeling adventurous, you can also add on the "Yukke" for 1280 yen, which offers a unique meat sashimi experience. The rice is refillable and the sides are equally delicious. Overall, a luxurious yakiniku lunch experience that is truly satisfying.

I used it for lunch. The shop is located along the outer ring road. There is parking space for about 8 cars at the entrance. When you enter the store, you are guided to a table by the staff and sit down. There is a lunch menu and today's recommendation. I wanted to eat a lot, so I ordered the daily recommendation plus kalbi and tempura. The lunch set comes with rice, soup, salad, and kimchi. The daily recommendation is Dragon Kalbi, which is about 30 centimeters long. It is placed on a grill and cooked. Alongside that, I ordered tempura and kalbi. Once it is cooked to a certain extent, the Dragon Kalbi is cut into bite-sized pieces with scissors. Dip it in the sauce and eat. I eat this combination on top of rice. I want to drink beer, but I resist and use rice to distract myself. The lunch set is sufficient, but sometimes it's nice to splurge.

It had been a long time since my last visit, without a reservation, I arrived around 12:00 and the seats were full. However, the staff were refreshing, energetic, and kind, quickly clearing tables for waiting customers. I only had to wait about 10 minutes before being seated. Looking at the menu, I noticed that it had changed since my last visit, with prices increased (due to the rise in consumption tax). I ordered a dish similar to one I had before, the "Upper Kalbi Set", and it was delicious as always. The meat, sauce, and salad were all tasty. I left the restaurant feeling very satisfied once again.

Located a 5-minute walk from Daigo Station on the Kyoto Municipal Subway, this restaurant has a parking lot. It is known for offering Omi beef at a reasonable price. There is also a butcher shop on the right side of the entrance. The exterior looks like a typical izakaya, but the interior is a full-fledged yakiniku restaurant with smoke exhaust systems at each table. The space is surprisingly spacious and clean without feeling greasy. Visiting for lunch on the weekend, the restaurant was almost full, so we were seated at a table in the back. We ordered the limited quantity Omi beef set meal (100g) for 1000 yen excluding tax, along with additional servings of sliced kalbi (50g) for 350 yen excluding tax and harami (50g) for 350 yen excluding tax. The set meal included a regular serving of salad, kimchi, soup, and rice (free refill). The meat in the set meal consisted of various cuts like tongue and belly, all mixed together. Although the slices were uneven, each piece was delicious. The taste of the additional meat was decent. Given the portion size and taste, this restaurant passes with flying colors. The staff were energetic and lively. I would definitely like to visit this restaurant again.

I suddenly felt like eating yakiniku and decided to go. I arrived before 11:30 am and wrote my name on the waiting list at the entrance. Shortly after, I was able to enter. I had already decided on the special Omi beef lunch, but the staff recommended the limited edition kalbi lunch for the day, so I decided to order that as well. My wife, daughter, and I ordered the special Omi beef lunch first, but then we also wanted to try the kalbi, so we called the staff over and ordered the kalbi lunch without kimchi and rice. We were served salad and kimchi first. My daughter and I can't eat kimchi, so my wife started first with the main meat dishes. We had special kalbi, premium harami, and top loin, each 50g, with some grilled vegetables. The taste of the kalbi and harami was good, but the tenderness was so-so. However, the loin was amazing, we wanted to order more. The kalbi was served later, and it was slightly smaller than in the menu photo. Like the kalbi and harami, the taste was good but the tenderness was average. Finally, we had dessert with ice cream. Thank you for the meal. When we paid, the staff thought there was a mistake because the lunch portion was for four people instead of three. Next time, I want to try the meat sashimi.

I visited this restaurant that caught my attention on the signboard. The menu lineup is great! I had high expectations. I ordered the beef tongue, assorted wagyu beef, and harami, but I forgot to take a picture. I also ordered some lettuce and kimchi to wrap the meat. The yukhoe was delicious as usual, and I personally prefer the liver oil rare. These dishes are definitely worth coming back for! As for the assorted end pieces, I'm not sure if I would order them again next time. I lost count of how many highballs I had. I left feeling satisfied and full. Thank you for the meal.

You can enjoy high-quality marbled meat at a reasonable price here. I highly recommend eating it rare with white negi on top. The seafood is also fresh and delicious. The restaurant is spacious and divided into separate sections, so it's safe for those concerned about COVID-19.

I visited a yakiniku restaurant that I had been curious about. I was drawn to the "Omi beef" ♡ The restaurant always seemed to have a full parking lot, so I thought it might be better to make a reservation, but since it was a weekday night, we were able to sit down easily. All the meat was really delicious. The seasoning was on the lighter side. Omi beef is only available in a set. It was definitely delicious, but personally, I think a half size would have been enough to enjoy the rich flavor of the fatty meat. I ate quite a bit, so it ended up being a little over 5000 yen per person. Thank you for the meal.

Around 12 o'clock in the afternoon, when I arrived, the parking lot was full and I was feeling flustered. However, a staff member came out and kindly told me to park at Daigo Ramen nearby. This left a good impression on me. When I returned to the restaurant, I was guided smoothly and chose the Omi beef kalbi set meal for 1080 yen and the staff meal set meal for 1000 yen from the lunch menu. The set meal included meat, rice, salad, kimchi, and tail soup. The salad was quite generous, the kimchi was lightly delicious, and although the soup didn't look appealing, it tasted flavorful. As for the meat, the kalbi had a lot of fat and was a bit thin, but the sauce was delicious and went well with the rice. The staff meal set had more satisfying and tender meat quality. I also felt it was quite a deal using the 1000 yen Goto Eat voucher. It's easy to use when you want to casually have some yakiniku.

Limited company Kicchan operates a meat and yakiniku restaurant, including Kicchan Momoyama and Sōhonke Ramen Daigo. Several people were waiting even before the opening, indicating its popularity. On this day, I ordered the Ōmi beef lean loin set meal (1480 yen excluding tax). The lunch sets here consist of 100g of meat, rice, kimchi, salad, and soup. You can get a refill of rice, but it was a bit dry and lacked the flavor of the rice itself (seems to be Niigata rice). The kimchi was pickled and tangy, similar to what you might find for free at a ramen shop. The meat was tender and delicious, but the portion size felt lacking. The salad was tasty. I tried to analyze the deliciousness, and it seemed to be a dressing made of sesame oil, mayonnaise, and wine vinegar... the rest was a mystery! Overall, it felt like they were bulking up the small amount of meat with salad and rice. Last time, we got sherbet on our way out, but not this time. When I looked back as we left, I saw they were serving sherbet to other customers. It seemed like they were just busy and not doing it on purpose, but still disappointing. Deducting points for that. Also, my companion ordered without rice, but the price remained the same.

I arrived at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 30, 2020. It was my first time here, so I was excited. The interior of the restaurant was spacious and beautiful. All the meats were delicious and I was very satisfied. The thinly sliced kalbi cooked quickly and tasted great with just one side cooked. The beef tongue yukhoe was also incredibly delicious. The heart was tender and well-seasoned. I would like to come back soon. Thank you for the meal. I will enjoy all the ingredients in this world with gratitude. I'm calling for delicious food♪ The more I eat, the more power overflows♪

[Limited Quantity] Omi beef set meal for 1,100 yen - 100g of meat, salad, rice, soup. When the restaurant opened, four groups including myself entered. After that, more and more customers arrived. By the time I left, there was a waiting line. This place is popular! I thought 100g of meat might be too little, but it turned out to be just right for my appetite. The set meal includes a variety of cuts. Some of the meat was a bit tough, but overall, every piece was delicious. They may not be the fastest, but I would definitely come back again.

When we arrived, it was 10 minutes before the store opened, but there were already about 3 people waiting. Eventually, there were 10 of us waiting for the store to open. The place is a combination of a restaurant and a butcher shop. Inside, there were many awards and trophies displayed. Towards the back, there was a fancy-looking space with a garden. We ordered a set meal that allows you to enjoy various cuts of meat. The kimchi was not too spicy, typical of a yakiniku restaurant. The soup was a spicy wakame soup. My set meal included brisket, loin, skirt steak, and maybe some tongue as well? The meat was high-quality and tender. Each set meal here comes with 100g of meat, but I added extra skirt steak because I found the portion to be a bit small. Even my friend who eats less also added extra meat. The salad had a variety of vegetables and the dressing was delicious. To be honest, the salad was the best part of the meal. When we finished eating and went to pay, we were given a shot glass with frozen pear inside as a service. It was a nice way to refresh our palates.
