"Ponga" is a popular yakiniku restaurant with 5 locations in Tokyo and Kanagawa, but the main store in Meguro is the best recommendation. The prices are reasonable and they offer a wide variety of thick cuts of meat, which are very satisfying. Personally, this is my favorite yakiniku restaurant in terms of overall satisfaction and cost performance. On this day, we visited with 4 people and ordered the following menu items: - Wagyu Harami (salt) 1,650 yen - Special thick cut assortment 4,500 yen - Special thick cut tongue salt - Kaonomi steak - Special thick cut harami - Lamp steak → We ordered 2 servings since there were 4 of us. All the cuts were luxurious and very tender and delicious. The Kaonomi (flank) was particularly amazing, combining the tenderness of lean meat with the richness of fatty meat, and everyone praised it. - Shinshin 1,750 yen - Misuji 1,850 yen → Both had a moderate amount of fat and were delicious. They were tender meats with fine fibers. - Black Wagyu seared nigiri 1,200 yen → It was amazing when lightly seared. - Ichibo 1,750 yen → It was very tender lean meat. - Kumonosanchu Set 1,100 yen → Sanchu grown in the fertile soil of Aso. Fresh, crunchy leafy vegetables wrapped in meat, along with stick vegetables, tomatoes, and large leaves, with "flavored green onions" and "garlic oil grilled" included. It was just the right amount for 4 people. - Cold noodles 1,200 yen → Gentle tasting cold noodles with thin, easy-to-eat noodles. - Comtan Kuppa 1,200 yen → The rich and creamy white soup with a flavorful broth was a delicious way to finish the meal. - Almond tofu → There was plenty of homemade-style chewy almond tofu. The total was just under 30,000 yen, which is roughly about 7,000 yen per person. I think it's incredibly reasonable considering the level of satisfaction.

I visited a restaurant because I wanted to feed my husband Tateminegi-tan salt, and it was beyond my expectations. He even asked for seconds (lol). We had the ultimate hormone, a carefully selected assortment, harami, mixed namul, and sanchu. The sanchu was so beautiful. There was a specialty dish, and on that Sunday evening, I thought that as long as that one ray of light doesn't fade, maybe business can succeed. Now, I'm going home to watch the final episode of VIVANT!!

The shop is clean, the staff are friendly, and the food comes out very quickly! I thought it was a comfortable place to be in! There are terrace seats outside, but it gets very hot in the summer, so I recommend making a reservation for indoor seats! I will definitely go back again!

This time, I visited with my dog. We sat on the terrace and grilled unseasoned meat (this time it was turtle) before the grill got dirty, then cut it up. They also provided water for the dog, which was much appreciated. The grilled green onions wrapped around the tongue (forgot the name) were delicious and I had seconds! The green onions were so fluffy... a must-try. I couldn't take many photos because there was a dog, but we had a plate of assorted namul, green onion-wrapped tongue, thick-cut tongue (which was also amazing), hormone, mixed harami, com tongue, soup, and sangchu. It was a feast for both me and my dog. Thank you for the meal!

The Kuroge Wagyu course was delicious, from the meat to the namul and kimchi. The specialty dish of thinly sliced green onions with salt that we ordered extra was also amazing and we would definitely order it again. The green onions were finely chopped, giving it a fluffy texture rather than a crunchy one. There were salt and pepper available in addition to the special sauce, allowing you to season the meat to your liking. For the final course, we chose the cold noodles, which were satisfying. The restaurant was not smoky, making it a comfortable dining experience.

On a holiday at 8:00 PM, the 5,500 yen course was fully booked. After reading reviews on Tabelog mentioning that the individual portions were generous, we decided to go for the course menu as we wanted to try a variety of dishes. This turned out to be a great decision. The lean meat was delicious and not greasy at all, despite concerns about it causing indigestion. The menu was easy to eat. For dessert, we had the option of cold noodles or ice cream, and we chose the cold noodles, which were delicious with their firm texture. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

Entered the restaurant with a friend at 8:00 pm. We had made a reservation, but there were also customers who came without one. They had a variety of options like tongue, skirt steak, hormone, glasses, and ribeye. The total bill for two people was 16,000 yen, which was quite cost-effective for Tokyo.

In Meguro, Ponkasan is always a reliable choice. Whenever I feel like eating delicious yakiniku, this is my go-to place because it's the closest. Everything on the menu is delicious, but the thick cut series is highly recommended here. This time, the thick cut tongue with salt was amazing!

Visited with my family, and once again, I was amazed by the deliciousness. We had the grilled tongue wrapped in green onions, and the visual appeal, along with the happiness when it enters your mouth, is out of this world. The quality of the ribs and harami is so high that if I didn't have to think about the bill, I would want to stay here forever. The wine selection is reasonably priced, showing how this restaurant sticks to being affordable. There are probably many other places in Nakameguro with similar or lower quality meat but at higher prices. It might be impossible to get a reservation on weekends, or even difficult to make a reservation at all, but if I get the chance, I would love to go back.

I think Pon, a yakiniku restaurant located about a 5-minute walk from Meguro Station, offers good value for money. The restaurant has tables in the basement, on the first floor, at the counter, and on the terrace. Since there were two of us, we were seated at the counter. It's easy for solo diners to come as well, as there were people dining alone at the counter. The terrace might be a bit hot during this season, so I recommend making a reservation. The thinly sliced beef tongue with plenty of green onions on top is a popular menu item, and the staff will grill it carefully for you. It's juicy and refreshing, a must-try! We also enjoyed the thick-cut assorted meat platter and the seared Yukhoe recommended for the day.

We went with four friends and had a great time enjoying delicious yakiniku and chijimi. The standout was the dish where you wrap leeks in tongue meat. We each had about 4.5 drinks and the total bill came to around 7,000 yen. Great value for money. Just a 2-minute walk from Meguro Station.

It's a very vibrant and lively place that I've been wanting to visit for a while. It's about a 3-minute walk from Meguro Station! The terrace seats looked very inviting ✨ This time, we sat at the counter, which was actually nice because it was scorching hot outside (*^^*) I ordered the recommended assorted plate of not-so-thick cuts of meat, and even though it looked small, the pieces of meat were actually quite large ♡ Everything was delicious, and I could really taste the differences in the meats! Maybe because I didn't have any alcohol, but I feel like I ate in a hurry (only stayed for 30 minutes,,,). Next time, I'll take my time and savor the flavors properly ♡

It's been a while since I visited Meguro. We decided to have yakiniku together, so we visited this popular yakiniku restaurant in Meguro. It's a Korean yakiniku restaurant. From the terrace seats to the inside of the restaurant, it was almost full with customers. It's truly popular. There were many young customers, creating a lively atmosphere. Cooking the meat on the shichirin grill by ourselves was fun, and the conversation was lively. The staff's service was also excellent. Thank you very much. It was delicious.

After exercising and sweating, I visited the restaurant and the meat tasted so delicious! However, my friend had reserved a terrace seat for us, but there was no breeze, no fan, and no duct to suck in the smoke, so it was really hot. I ordered a cold drink and spent the time fanning myself. Haha, I wish they had a big fan or something for the summer. The photo is of Negi-tan salt. The staff grills it for you with plenty of green onions stuffed in. I only took one picture, but everything was delicious!

Negi-tan is delicious, isn't it? The Meguro main store allows terrace seating and dogs are welcome, which is great! When dining with kids, the terrace is just right. Be sure to order the famous negi-tan, harami, and makgeolli. Personally, I wish they had more wine options available.

The atmosphere of the restaurant is very nice. The customers are friendly and the seating is close but not bothersome. The food is really delicious and reasonably priced. It has a nice Meguro vibe while still feeling down-to-earth. I definitely want to go back again!

It was my second visit for a girls' date. The signature dish, negi-tan, was thinly sliced with finely chopped green onions, and the portion was generous and refreshing. We also ordered additional items like liver, a platter of four types of hormone, garlic oil grilled meat, and cold noodles, and we were happily satisfied. The cost performance for drinking makkoli from a barrel was relatively good, so if you're looking to eat yakiniku in Meguro, this place is recommended. If you sit on the terrace, there is a possibility of sweating a little. It felt like a summer barbecue, which was nice. Haha. Thank you for the meal.

Visited on a Sunday night. Managed to get a reservation online the day before. The restaurant has a terrace and the interior is spacious. The photos show a kimchi platter, yukhoe (Korean beef tartare), and grilled salted green onion tongue. The staff grills the green onion tongue one by one, which is much appreciated. I forgot to take a photo, but the glasses were especially delicious.

We felt like eating delicious meat, so we gathered our team members and went to Pongani. We started with one plate of yukhoe per person, then ordered a platter with recommended cuts like fillet, chateaubriand, tongue, thigh, ribs, skirt steak, and liver. The older gentleman couldn't finish the hormone dishes, so he left it to the younger ones and just drank highballs. Ah, it was so delicious~
