It's like a business hotel breakfast where pre-made dishes are lined up for you to help yourself. The food is nothing special, with limited options and average taste. Surprisingly, it was quite empty on a Friday night.

I used it when staying at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel! It felt a little expensive during the Bon Festival period, but on normal days, it seems like a reasonable price. The dishes were packed with a lot of attention to detail, and it was great to enjoy various genres.

Due to the coronavirus, I went to a buffet for the first time in 5 years. This place allows you to use the parking lot even if you only come for a meal, so it was convenient to go by car, considering getting full and going home. The calm atmosphere of a top-class hotel and the attentive service of the staff provided a sense of security. Although I felt a bit of emptiness in the variety of dishes, each dish was well-prepared, allowing me to enjoy the food. In particular, the elaborate cold dishes, beef beer stew Flemish style, and salmon wood plank grill were delicious. The dessert selection was also fulfilling. I can't go there often, but I look forward to going there for special occasions in the future. (I forgot to take a picture of the hot dishes. After all, photos are not everything. haha)

The restaurant had no windows, so there was no sense of openness, but it had a slightly more relaxed atmosphere. It was disappointing that there were no fresh juices at the lunch buffet, only drinks from a machine. However, they did have unique drinks like tonic water and matcha milk, which was a nice touch. The appetizers were visually appealing and the small portions allowed me to try everything without overeating. The main dishes included pasta, pizza, yellow curry, shepherd's pie, and various types of bread. For the main dishes, there was salmon, spare ribs, chicken thighs, pork shoulder, etc. Desserts consisted of mini cakes, but I couldn't find any fruits, although I was told they were available. I wish there were more meat options for the main course. Overall, I felt like there was nothing particularly outstanding or special about the buffet. I was able to use a discount this time, but I would have been dissatisfied if I had paid full price. The staff was efficient in clearing plates and the service was good.

I have been to various hotel lunch buffets, but I think "Kaza" has a good atmosphere and value for money. The buffet at Le Régale Royal Member online reservation costs 3,400 yen on weekdays. I have stayed at Le Régale Royal Hotel in Tokyo many times, but this was my first time in Kyoto. It was a calm and adult-like hotel. "Kaza" is located on the first floor, so it was convenient to visit right after checking out. The containers for the appetizers were lovely, so I ended up taking all of them haha. There was no beef dish, but personally, I would like to visit this buffet again. I used to prefer course meals in the past, but recently I have come to enjoy buffets, so I have been having more buffet lunches. However, my husband and I only have one meal for lunch, and we just snack in the morning and evening. If we eat a lot at night, we tend to gain weight quickly haha Sorry for digressing. There were many types of appetizers, and I was already full with bread (I had one croissant) and cream pasta, so I couldn't touch the meat dishes (pork and chicken) haha. The dessert selection was a bit limited. By downloading the Le Régale Royal Hotel app, I could enjoy hotel curry and hotel soup (I forgot what else), so I had more things to send to my son and daughter-in-law haha Thank you for the meal. I will visit again!

I had tea time at "All Day Dining KAZA" in Hotel The Royal Park Kyoto near Kyoto Station. I chose the dessert plate set for ¥2,000, which expressed the three major festivals of Kyoto with sweets. The mousse was wrapped in mochi, the chocolate leaves represented the Aoi Matsuri, the apple tart tatin with hazelnuts represented the Gion Matsuri, and the opera-style cake with biscuit represented the Jidai Matsuri. My friend chose the Strawberry Shortcake Set for ¥1,700. Both were delicious and we were very satisfied!

■Dining lounge located on the first floor of The Royal Park Hotel Kyoto. They offer seasonal sweets, and this time I went to try their Mont Blanc parfait. ■Order ✔Chestnut Sherry 1,500 yen (tax included) Available until November 30th. With a drink, it's 1,700 yen, which is quite reasonable considering the parfait market price. The "Chestnut Sherry" parfait is named after the French for "beloved chestnut," and it brings to mind a colorful autumn landscape. The Mont Blanc paste is rich and the chestnuts are tender, allowing you to enjoy the flavor of autumn. The juicy figs, berry cream, pear jelly, Griotte sherbet, and various fruits combined well and were delicious. ■Interior Table seats at the back with a buffet space. The sofa seats were comfortable to sit in.

This is a restaurant on the 1st floor of the 160-year-old Riga Royal with a bit of a dim atmosphere, which was a bit disappointing, but the taste was good. The dish with beans and tuna was delicious. The bread was only sweet at the time, so I didn't take any. The watercress pasta was freshly made and delicious. The only downside was the orange and grapefruit juice. It was made automatically by pressing a button, but it seemed like it had been sitting for a while with water or syrup, so it didn't taste like orange or grapefruit at all. In other places, they serve fresh orange or grapefruit juice in a pitcher with ice, so I wish they had served fresh juice without cutting costs. The food was truly Kyoto-style, and the raw gluten was also delicious. I will definitely visit again when I go on a Kyoto sweets tour. Thank you for the meal.

The breakfast at Hotel Granvia Kyoto was served at the restaurant "All Day Dining Kasa" on the first floor. The entrance to the dining area was small, but inside it was surprisingly spacious and relaxing, with seating for 180 people. With almost 500 guest rooms in the hotel, a buffet area of this size is essential. Due to the pandemic, guests are required to wear plastic gloves (provided at the entrance) and masks when picking up food. The breakfast cost 3000 yen for guests aged 13 and older (1500 yen for elementary school students, 800 yen for toddlers). The buffet had a good selection of Japanese and Western dishes, with a particularly well-stocked salad bar and a main dish corner with a live kitchen (omelets). I started with a plate of small portions of salads and appetizers, and I was already full just from that (laughs) because there were so many choices. The service at this 4-star hotel was excellent, with plates promptly cleared away. I ate so much that I wasn't hungry until dinner!

This buffet is a relaxing and enjoyable experience. The variety of flavors offered allowed me to explore new tastes that I don't usually enjoy at home. Depending on where you start in the line, it may be best to take a look around before filling your plate, as there is a wide selection of dishes available. The food is served at the right temperature and is recommended for those who enjoy culinary adventures. I plan to visit again in the evening next time.

This is my first time at the Hotel Granvia Kyoto. It is a dinner buffet at a traditional hotel. I felt that the variety of dishes was somewhat limited, but each dish is very carefully prepared and delicious. Each corner of the buffet gets quite crowded right at the start. The popular dishes run out quickly. However, there is plenty of time and the dishes are constantly replenished, so there is no need to rush to get them.

It is located on the first floor of the Rihga Royal Hotel Kyoto. The buffet is divided into two sessions, and we made a reservation for the first session starting at 11:30. We were seated at our table five minutes before, and at 11:30, the staff welcomed us to begin. There were arrows on the floor to indicate the order in case it was crowded. The food had a lot of meat dishes, with only six Japanese dishes and the rest being Western-style flavors. The taste was rich, but each dish was well thought out and delicious. The dessert, a shortcake, had a moist and smooth texture with a good balance of sweetness. We used a discount, but the regular price is 4000 yen. It may be a bit pricey at 4000 yen, but the atmosphere was nice and we were satisfied with the delicious lunch buffet.

On the morning of the third day of my trip to Kyoto in January 2022, for visiting thirty-three temples, I had breakfast. On this day, I planned to visit Mitsui Temple in Otsu, Daigo-ji Temple in Fushimi, and Mimuroto-ji Temple in Uji before heading back. Each temple I visited had its own unique atmosphere and many highlights to see. Time flew by as I walked through the temple grounds. For our final morning, my husband and I enjoyed a leisurely breakfast, reminiscing about our visits to the temples and expressing gratitude for the thoughtful gestures from the hotel staff. It was a memorable and enjoyable trip. Thank you.

In January 2022, on the day of visiting thirty-three temples in Kyoto, we returned to our hotel in the evening after a full day of temple visits. We had dinner reservations at 5:30 pm, so we took a break in our room, sipped tea, and relaxed. We felt grateful for staying multiple nights as we were quite tired from the day's activities. Since we didn't have time for a leisurely lunch due to visiting various temples, we realized how hungry we were after resting in our room. We headed to the restaurant at the reserved time. Learning from the previous night's dinner, we decided to share plates from the buffet menu rather than each getting our own. This allowed us to adjust the amount we ate while enjoying the meal slowly, all the way to dessert. There were different menu items from the night before, but we still enjoyed the same delicious dishes and had a satisfying dinner on our second day in Kyoto.

On the second day of my trip to Kyoto in January 2022, I had breakfast at the hotel before heading out to visit five temples in the city, including Kiyomizu-dera. I arrived at the restaurant when it opened in order to start the day with a hearty meal. The atmosphere was quiet and relaxed, with few people around. I enjoyed various dishes like obanzai, savoring each bite. The breakfast had a larger portion compared to my usual morning meal. There was also a tempting dessert corner. Throughout the day, I focused on visiting temples in Kyoto, only taking breaks for tea. I ended up walking around the city all day until returning to the hotel for dinner.

In January 2022, my husband and I had made a reservation at this hotel for a short trip to Kyoto to visit the Western Japan Thirty-Three Pilgrimage sites on our wedding anniversary. Despite the current situation, we decided to go ahead with our plans after getting our third vaccine dose and taking all necessary precautions. The hotel has a parking lot, so we were able to drive directly to the hotel from our home. When we checked in early in the evening, we casually mentioned to the front desk staff that we had hesitated until the last minute but decided to come for our anniversary trip, and that we had received our third vaccine dose. To our surprise, during dinner at the restaurant later that day, the staff congratulated us on our anniversary and gave us flowers, showing us thoughtful gestures throughout our 2-night stay. The dinner buffet offered a variety of visually appealing and delicious dishes that we could enjoy in small portions, and the dessert selection felt like choosing from a beautiful jewelry case. It was a memorable anniversary with the slight variation in the menu between the first and second days adding to our enjoyment.

I have been to this place several times over the past few years. The buffet menu changes with the seasons, so it's always enjoyable whenever I go. The price is reasonable for a hotel buffet, and the selection is extensive. The appetizers in small dishes are especially delicious. There are about 5-6 different types, which go well with wine! I look forward to this every time. The variety of bread, cookies, and desserts is also greatly appreciated. Sometimes if you focus too much on the main dishes, the desserts may run out, so I try to get them early now (laughs). There are also 1-2 types of curry available. There weren't any during the New Year period, but in other seasons, there are usually quite a few Thai curries. They are authentic and tasty! Spring, summer, autumn, winter. I recommend it anytime, but the value for money might not be as good during New Year (laughs). The prices are slightly higher during New Year, and I expected more variety, but it felt like there were fewer options than usual. Even my dad and husband, who don't like buffets because they find them hectic, enjoy this place. I want to go again!

This is a story from a while ago, but I had a happy experience of staying at the Riga Royal hotel. Luckily, I was able to use a private room in the morning, which was great for families with children. They explained about wearing masks and gloves due to the coronavirus, which was understandable. I was looking forward to the buffet, as my child loves it. Even though I am on a diet, I couldn't resist the buffet and ended up just eating salads. The hotel's buffet had a wide variety of Japanese and Western dishes, all of which were delicious and beautifully presented. I highly recommend this place! Thank you for the wonderful meal!

I visited the restaurant at 13:30 on a weekday after making an online reservation the night before. I tried the lunch buffet with one drink included for 90 minutes for 3500 yen. Everything was very clean, delicious, and satisfying. I chose the Mixed Berry Sour for my drink, which had a good balance of sweetness and acidity and was very tasty. The small glass dishes were all visually appealing and there were many different options. I couldn't tell if there was a live kitchen like at The Westin Miyako, as there were only a few customers there when I went. The colorful cherry tomatoes were delicious, especially the orange ones. As for the desserts, I couldn't decide if they were exceptionally good or just typical hotel desserts since I was already quite full.
