There is a shop inside Shimadzu Seisakusho. I couldn't imagine there would be a wedding venue and a restaurant inside from the exterior! I tried the Basque cheesecake that looked delicious on Instagram. It was my kind of Basque cheesecake, with a creamy center, a smooth blend of custard and cream cheese, and a slightly bitter outer layer adding a nice accent. It was delicious! The restaurants at Plandosee are all stylish and consistently delicious. Apparently, you can also try the same Basque cheesecake at the Oriental Hotel in Tokyo. Next, I want to try their pancakes or parfaits.

The hospitality is also excellent, making guests feel welcome and relaxed. You can enjoy the same menu inside the restaurant, which offers a wide selection of alcoholic beverages.

I revisited the restaurant because I enjoyed the course menu last month. The burrata cheese was delicious as always. The hot menu featured onion gratin soup, which was just as tasty as last time. I wanted to try the cocotte dish that I had before. The grilled beef harami was meaty and satisfying. For dessert, the Basque-style cheesecake was a favorite. Starting next month, a 10% service charge will be added to the lunch menu, but it's still a convenient bistro that I love.

The other day, while strolling around Kyoto, it suddenly started pouring rain, so I decided to go into this shop. I had been curious about this place for a while, so it was lucky! Since it was after a meal, I just used it as a cafe. From the atmosphere of the building, I thought the coffee would be priced like a hotel, but it was only about 600 yen. This way, you can easily use it. I sat at a table where I could see the garden. Unfortunately, due to the heavy rain, I couldn't see much outside, but there were carp swimming in the pond in the garden, creating a lovely atmosphere that combines Western and Japanese styles, typical of Kyoto. It was a weekday afternoon and with the heavy rain, I was able to relax and enjoy my time there.

I celebrated my birthday with my high school friends by having lunch together. I always thought it was a bank site, but it turned out to be a facility of Shimadzu Corporation. We ordered the Fortune Lunch and everything was delicious. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was also nice, but for me, the portion size was a bit small.

I ordered the 3200 yen prix fixe course which includes appetizer, main dish, and dessert. The first dish was a Thai carpaccio, a cold appetizer with a refreshing lemon flavor in olive oil. The rosemary and pink pepper added a nice touch. Next was a warm appetizer, corn and truffle cocotte. It was absolutely delicious and I couldn't stop eating it with bread. For the main course, I had grilled swordfish and my husband had grilled Kyoto pork. The swordfish had a refreshing orange sauce while the pork had a ginger-infused tomato sauce, both perfect for summer. For dessert, we had fresh peach blancmange and Basque cheesecake (+300 yen). The combination of fresh peach sorbet, blancmange, and crushed peaches was amazing. The Basque cheesecake was the best I've ever had. From start to finish, everything was delicious and I will definitely be coming back. Despite arriving 30 minutes early by mistake, the staff welcomed us warmly and accommodated our food allergies perfectly. They even warned us about the approaching typhoon when we were settling the bill. The service from the staff, who were all very busy, was exceptional. The restaurant was packed and it's no wonder why. I heard they also serve lunch on weekends and holidays, so reservations are a must!

I visited this restaurant for lunch with a friend who was back home. We had a seat with a view of the bamboo garden, but unfortunately, it was not by the window. The food was delicious, although the service was a bit slow. I especially enjoyed the hot pot dish during the summer. The busiest time seemed to be during coffee hour, as our dessert was not served with the coffee. I wanted to have a leisurely coffee time, but the sound of a crying child echoed in the restaurant, distracting everyone. It may not be the best choice for a lunch date or business meeting, but I would recommend trying their dinner menu instead.

I had iced coffee and a chocolate and caramel nut terrine at "FORTUNE GARDEN KYOTO" in Kawaramachi Sanjo, Kyoto. The retro building, which used to be the former Shimadzu Corporation headquarters, has a stylish atmosphere that is popular for girls' gatherings, but there were also quite a few solo female customers. Both the coffee and cake were rich and delicious.

Renovated the former Shimadzu Manufacturing Co. headquarters into a restaurant and hotel, offering a slightly casual French dining experience under the Sodoh Higashiyama brand. The prices are reasonable (the course on this day was 5800 yen) with dishes such as red sea bream carpaccio, Awaji onion gratin soup with truffle, grilled swordfish with orange kekka sauce, and charcoal-grilled Kyoto pork salverde. Dessert is melon vacherin glacé, served with coffee. The wine pairing includes three natural wines, and the total cost for two people is 19800 yen.

Seasonal course for 5800 yen, Sangria for 800 yen, and Kinomi Gin Tonic for 1000 yen. The atmosphere here is amazing. It's connected to a wedding venue, so the entrance is stylish. The building has a historic feel to it. Inside, it's dimly lit with a view of the bamboo forest outside, which is sure to impress you as soon as you enter. Each dish was incredibly delicious. Even among the course dishes, they were exceptionally tasty. The main dish is just bread, so the portion size is on the smaller side, but for me, it was just the right amount!

Visited this restaurant to celebrate a friend's first visit. We ordered a course menu (around 6000 yen) which included appetizers, warm dishes, fish dishes, meat dishes, and dessert. Initially, we were concerned that it might not be enough, but we were ultimately very satisfied. The drink selection was also excellent, with a good variety of wines at reasonable prices. I enjoyed à la carte dishes such as sashimi of cold yellowtail and Kujo green onions, soy ginger avocado and broccoli basil marinade, fresh mussel steamed in white wine, charcoal-grilled Itoshima pork shoulder loin, charcoal-grilled Tanba red chicken thigh. The seafood was delicious. I also had a soup made with white wine steamed in a bread bowl from Yoshida Pan Factory. The atmosphere is stylish, with a change in lighting from lunchtime to cafe time. There were many tables of women having a girls' night out.

I used the strawberry afternoon tea at this place. It was a great value and delicious. It was truly all about strawberries! I had a hojicha sparkling drink as a welcome drink, which was a new and delicious experience. The atmosphere of the shop is lovely and it's one of my favorite places!
