I revisited "Wagyu and Kyoto Tofu Arashiyama Sanyotei," which opened in Arashiyama, Kyoto in December last year. The view from the nearby Togetsukyo Bridge is very nice! The interior of the restaurant is decorated with gold screens and other beautiful decorations, making it a luxurious and elegant space. The atmosphere is something that even Japanese people don't often experience, so I can see why it's popular with foreigners too. There are outlets under the chairs, so you can charge your smartphone if needed. This time, I ordered the "Spring Special Set" which includes Wagyu beef bowl, Wagyu sukiyaki, clear soup, egg, pickles, condiments, dashi broth, and dessert. The tender Wagyu beef is delicious on its own, but it's also tasty when eaten with condiments and dashi like a hitsumabushi dish. The marbled Wagyu sukiyaki is also delicious when mixed with raw egg and green onions. Both meats seemed even more delicious than last time. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

I had a special spring meal, which included: Matsusaka beef hitsumabushi, Matsusaka beef sukiyaki, clear soup, pickles, condiments, soup stock, onsen tamago (hot spring egg), and dessert. The hitsumabushi had flavorful meat that tasted great on its own or with the broth, condiments, and onsen tamago. The sukiyaki meat was tender and the sweet mochi-like texture of the raw wheat gluten was refreshing. The meal was filling and I recommend this restaurant for a meal in Arashiyama.

I went to this restaurant for lunch this time! First, the interior!! It has a very luxurious atmosphere and the water cups are made of bamboo!! Haha, it's so stylish! There were four ways to eat hitsumabushi, and all of them were delicious and I didn't get tired of them✨ My favorite was eating it with wasabi, I really liked that!! The roast beef was also tender and delicious✨ It's a bit pricey, but once you try it, you'll understand that the taste is exceptional✨ It's also a good place to stop by on a date in Kyoto✨ Please be sure to stop by and try it out♪ Thank you for the meal!!

The restaurant is quite beautiful and crowded. There seems to be a bit less meat, but it's understandable since it's a tourist spot. There is a lot of tofu served. It looks like they gather meat from all over the country and display it outside. I had hitsumabushi, and it was served as is, with condiments and dashi tea for pouring over. It was delicious.

I recently visited Arashiyama Miyoshitei in Arashiyama, Kyoto with my friends Kaorin and Sayosayo. We tried the special spring meal, which was beautifully presented and gave off a New Year's vibe. We started with delicious sukiyaki beef followed by roast beef bowl, and finished with tea-soaked rice. Each dish was tasty and we enjoyed changing up the flavors. The restaurant is located near Togetsukyo Bridge, making it a great spot for a leisurely stroll. They also offer a luxurious tofu set meal. The restaurant was bustling with customers during lunchtime. The teacups were made of bamboo, adding a touch of Kyoto charm. The ambiance of the restaurant was very traditional and calming. It's a place that foreign visitors would surely appreciate.

The slightly sweet broth brings out the good flavor, and the marbled fat adds richness when mixed with the egg - it's simply the best! * * * First, enjoy it as it is. The Japanese beef bowl has a strong sauce, with a hint of garlic that stimulates the appetite. Next, add some condiments - the nori topping was a nice touch. The smoothness of the hot spring egg pairs perfectly! You can also enjoy the hot spring egg on its own. Finally, finish with the tea-soaked rice! The aroma of the bonito broth is nice. I love tea-soaked rice, so I mostly ate it with the broth, haha. * * * The clear soup has a hint of pepper, perfect for a satisfying end to the meal. For dessert, there's the new specialty of Arashiyama - the fire-mixed mochi! Made with Kyoto white miso and cream, it has a chewy texture and a caramel-like flavor. I went for lunch at "Wagyu and Kyoto Tofu Arashiyama Sanyotei," which opened just a minute's walk from Arashiyama Station on the Keifuku Line in December of last year. Taking the Hankyu train to the restaurant, the view from Togetsukyo Bridge was lovely. You can see the meat showcase from outside, which gets you excited even before eating! The interior of the restaurant is surrounded by golden decorations like folding screens, creating a luxurious atmosphere that even Japanese people find overwhelming, let alone foreigners. There are outlets under the chairs, so you can charge your phone if needed. This time, I ordered the new menu item "Spring Special Set (Limited Reservation)." It includes Wagyu beef bowl, Wagyu sukiyaki, clear soup, egg, pickles, condiments, broth, and dessert. First, tea was served in bamboo cups. The tender and slightly rare Wagyu red meat is delicious on its own, but it's also great with condiments and broth, almost like hitsumabushi. The Wagyu sukiyaki, mixed with raw egg and green onions, was delicious too. This unique atmosphere is something you don't come across often, making it a memorable experience, especially for travelers. Thank you for the delicious meal.

I was able to enter smoothly because I made a reservation, but there were people waiting in the cold. The taste and portion size were okay, but it seems like they prioritize appearance. From looking at other reviews, it seems like the amount of meat has decreased. It may be because of the seats close to the kitchen, but it was noisy and not a calm atmosphere to eat in, which was disappointing. Also, it was a shame that the miso soup spilled all over the table during the meal. It seems like a new restaurant, so maybe the staff are not used to it yet. I'm a bit worried if they can survive in the competitive Arashiyama area.

On December 15th, a new restaurant opened in Arashiyama! I went for lunch and it was amazing. The Wagyu beef hitsumabushi and Sagano tofu were so luxurious. The set meal includes tender Wagyu beef with a rich flavor, served over rice. You can enjoy it as is, or add their homemade sauce, special broth, and refreshing condiments like seaweed and rice crackers for a new twist on hitsumabushi. The Sagano tofu has a delicate and elegant flavor that pairs well with both salt and soy sauce. This is the ultimate Kyoto Wagyu beef meal! It was a late hour, so the restaurant was empty. However, the toilet was not clean, with overflowing paper towels in the trash can left unattended. The floor was also dirty. The staff did not pay attention when taking orders or refilling tea, and the service was disappointing.

It feels like becoming a lord with red and gold dishware, just a little bit. It's very New Year-like. You can enjoy it as it is, with a soft-boiled egg on top, or with dashi and condiments for a hittsumi-style dish. The ability to change the taste is great. The mini side dishes are also delicious!
