Today, I visited "Niku Mon Shijo Omiya Honten" for a meat gathering. This restaurant is the only certified "Manyo Beef" store in Kyoto! Manyo Beef, popular for its melt-in-your-mouth texture, is a black wagyu beef raised in Tottori Prefecture. We had a private room on the right side as soon as we entered the restaurant. Located in Shijo Omiya, Kyoto, I visited the first certified restaurant for "Manyo Beef" in Kyoto, Nikumon Shijo Omiya Honten. Manyo Beef is a brand of beef from Tottori Prefecture, known for its excellent marbling and rich flavor. I tried their famous "Harami Yukke," which was tender and had a rich sauce with just the right amount of egg yolk. It was truly outstanding! The presentation was beautiful and highly recommended. The "Hoso," made with Omi beef, was firm and had a delicious sweetness. Each slice was large, providing a great satisfaction. It paired perfectly with the dipping sauce and salted kelp. The "Meat Sushi" had a light sear, maximizing the flavor of the meat when combined with the rice. Both the "Premium Harami" and "Premium Sagari" were incredibly tender and delicious. They can be enjoyed with various dipping sauces like wasabi, ponzu, salt, black sauce, and red sauce. The palate-cleansing potato salad was a nice touch. The "Extra Thick Wiener" was comically large, but surprisingly tasty. The "Nikumon Curry" was made over two days and highlighted the melt-in-your-mouth flavor of black wagyu beef. It was the perfect way to end a meal of yakiniku. Every dish was truly delicious, and the manager, who happened to be the same age as me, made the experience even more enjoyable. The service was exceptional, making the whole dining experience fantastic. I highly recommend checking out Nikumon Shijo Omiya Honten for yourself. This is a shop I often visit, but this was my first time trying this menu. The thinly sliced raw heavenly meat had the perfect texture of heavenly meat itself. It was my first time trying it, so I wonder if it's rare? The sudachi cold noodles were amazing. The refreshing taste of sudachi was prominent, and since there are no other ingredients, it's very refreshing. I can no longer be satisfied with normal cold noodles!

I usually tend to prefer sashimi and chicken, but I had a sudden craving for yakiniku so I made a reservation and visited this restaurant. The interior was a bit smoky, and even with the door open, it wasn't exactly cool in this season. However, the combination of beer and the appetizing aroma made me forget about the heat. I started with a glass of beer and a small dish. The barley flavor in this perfect warmth stimulated my appetite for meat. As a side dish, some bean sprout namul arrived, lightly scented with ginger, perfect for a chopstick break. Then, the various cuts of meat started arriving. First, the tongue, quickly grilled and topped with green onion sauce. The beer continued to go down smoothly. Next was the harami (red), marinated in a sweet sauce that went well with white rice. Then came the loin (black), with a spicier flavor profile. Personally, I preferred the black sauce, which went perfectly with rice. The beer kept flowing. I was so engrossed in eating that I forgot to take pictures of everything. And that's the end of my meal!

I heard there is a delicious yakiniku (Japanese BBQ) restaurant in Kyoto, so I went to visit. It is located near Hankyu Omiya Station, very close to the station. It's been hot every day, so I need to eat some meat to regain my energy. This restaurant is the only place in Kyoto that serves "Manyo Beef." I had Manyo Beef before and it was delicious, so I was excited to visit. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is lively and the staff are very energetic. We also felt lively. We chose the "exquisite course" on this day: - Cheers with fruit sake and soda, refreshing and delicious. - Bean sprout namul - Use the special sauce for dipping - Edamame, which we could eat as much as we wanted at the event - Assorted kimchi, plenty of kimchi which was great with the yakiniku - Potato salad, very delicious and recommended - Omi Beef Hoso, the best part of the meat, was amazing - Wagyu Harami Yukke, the best because the meat was delicious - Premium Tan Tan, truly the best - Harami and Sagari with ponzu sauce, fun to compare and enjoy - Meat sushi & beef toro sushi, the way it melts in your mouth is incredible - Corn tea, it's nice to have a variety of tea options - Manyo Beef Ichibo, the shining Manyo Beef was intense and delicious - For the finish, we chose Lemon Cold Noodles. You could choose from various options for the finish. I definitely wanted the Lemon Cold Noodles, while my friend chose curry. The hormone was also delicious, and even though it was a 6000 yen course, we could eat Manyo Beef. The atmosphere was bright and nice, it was the best restaurant. I want to go again.

I heard from a friend who lives in Kyoto that you can eat delicious and affordable meat at Nikumon, so I decided to check it out. The nearest station is Omiya Station on the Hankyu Kyoto Line and Shijo Omiya Station on the Keifuku Arashiyama Main Line. It's conveniently located near the first Gyoza no Ohsho store. I visited on a holiday and it was very crowded, so I was glad I made a reservation. I reserved the "Ultimate Nikumon Course" for 6,000 yen, which had the following items: - Ara Goshi Momo with soda - Ara Goshi Mikan with soda - Service! All-you-can-eat edamame - Moyashi ginger namul - Kimchi assortment - Signature potato salad - Omi beef hoso - Wagyu tongue - Premium harami yukke - Premium harami and sagari comparison - Premium meat sushi - Special lean meat curry The quality of the meat was excellent, and the variety of dishes in the course made it very satisfying. On the fourth night in Kyoto, we decided to take a break from Kyoto cuisine and sake, and instead went to a yakiniku restaurant near our hotel. We enjoyed the highlights of Kansai-style yakiniku, starting from harami (skirt steak) and tsurami (tongue) to horumon (offal). In addition to salt sauce, they also offered red sauce made with gochujang, which added variety depending on the cut of meat. As we progressed through the meal, the sauces started to feel a bit heavy, so they provided a refreshing dipping sauce to cleanse the palate. This thoughtful hospitality was truly impressive.

I found out that there is a restaurant where I can eat my favorite beef, "Manyo Beef", and decided to go there with a colleague who lives nearby. The cheerful and energetic staff welcomed us with a smile. While they have a la carte menu items, today we decided to indulge in the luxurious "Ultimate Meat Course" for 6000 yen. The "Black Wagyu Premium Tongue" was so juicy and delicious, even though it wasn't too thick. The "Black Wagyu Harami Yukke" was my favorite Yukke ever, with a refreshing taste that wasn't too overwhelming. The "Premium Black Wagyu Harami and Sagari" was like a steak, so juicy and flavorful. The "Omi Beef Hoso" was tender, sweet, and delicious, especially when paired with salted kelp. Even my colleague who doesn't like offal enjoyed the "Hoso". And then, my favorite, the "Manyo Beef Lean Meat" arrived. The aroma and depth of flavor were amazing, truly a different level of taste. The salted kelp complemented it perfectly. The staff at the restaurant were so friendly and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The food was so delicious that we couldn't help but keep saying "It's so good!" over and over again. It felt like a marriage made in heaven between the flavors. The salted kelp was a genius addition to the meal. The lemon cold noodles were juicy and flavorful, a perfect way to end the meal. The staff were all cheerful and friendly, making it a great dining experience. The restaurant offers a variety of seating options and WiFi. I felt that the level of yakiniku restaurants in Kyoto is high. The owner, who is from Kyoto, became the number one in Japan and was able to handle Kyoto's Manyo beef for the first time in Kyoto. By the way, on this day, there was also an event for Ito livestock's purebred Tajima beef, where you could grab edamame, which was not frozen but had a strong aroma unique to beans (maybe also from Niwa production?). For 1000 yen, you could get a drink and two meat items in a light drinking set, and the counter was overflowing with solo diners.

Have you ever seen this kind of fat on beef tongue? At first glance, it looks like a casual yakiniku restaurant, but the quality of the meat is top-notch. They are the first shop in Kyoto to handle the award-winning Tottori prefecture brand beef "Manyo Beef." On the day I visited, the beef tongue was from Ito Livestock's purebred Tajima cattle. The meat is clearly separated between the lean meat and fat, using a prime cut of beef tongue. The portions are generous and the meat is excellent. The menu includes a variety of high-quality cuts such as harami, sagari, hoso, liver, and a mix of lean meats. They even offer a rare cut of Manyo Beef lean meat, which is flavorful and delicious. The casual atmosphere of the restaurant may be deceiving, but the quality of the meat is outstanding.

I love the charcoal-grilled meat, especially the tongue, heart, premium skirt, and brisket. The photo shows tongue and heart sashimi. I prefer the cheaper tongue as it looks healthier. I plan to try salt next time. Cold noodles are also amazing. The rice is blended by a rice master, and I think following the rice master's cooking method would be best.

There is a yakiniku restaurant in Shijo Omiya that is quite popular. I ordered the counter seat limited drinking set for 1000 yen. I chose four types of meat (agyu, heart, harami, kalbi). The volume for this price is quite a deal. The taste is not bad either. I added a mino sandwich for 800 yen. Prices for items outside of the drinking set are normal.

In Kyoto, at Shijo-Omiya, #Nikumon Shijo-Omiya Station Exit 1, 1 minute walk. I'm so happy to have found a delicious yakiniku restaurant in Kyoto. It's a rare find in Kyoto, a certified shop for Tottori's Manyo beef. I tried the Manyo beef, which was lean and tender, and it was incredibly delicious when lightly seared. Among all the dishes I tried, the specialty Harami Yukke is a must-try. It was the first dish we had and I was sure that this place is delicious. Mixing the rich egg and sauce with it was incredibly delicious. Particularly noteworthy was the Omi beef intestines, which were chewy and sweet. When grilled, dipping it in sauce and salted kelp was incredibly delicious. The top-grade tongue, harami, and sagari of rare domestic black wagyu beef are also highly recommended. The meat sushi and hand-pressed sushi topped with meat were both melt-in-your-mouth dishes. It seems that Kyoto has a knack for yakiniku, as I have never been disappointed in any yakiniku restaurant I have visited there. This time was no exception, and the meat at Yakiniku Nikumon in Shijo Omiya was delicious. The specialty hoso (thinly sliced meat) was plump, large, sweet, and absolutely delicious, with no hint of any unpleasant odor. At 650 yen, you can buy happiness here! Eating it with salted kelp and changing the flavor was also delicious. The restaurant offers a refined way of enjoying yakiniku, and despite being in an affordable price range, they serve Omi beef and Manyo beef, showing their determination to rival high-end establishments. The service was also excellent, especially the manager's meat explanations were so good that just listening to him made my mouth water. We started with a Kyoto-style green tea beer for the first drink, but sorry, it was just okay.

It is the first meat shop in Kyoto to be certified. We ordered individual items while listening to the manager's recommendations this time, and there is also a two-person yakiniku course available. - Moyashi ginger - Specialty potato salad - Premium tongue - Specialty hoso - Specialty harami yukke (rare cut) - Premium sagari - Premium harami - Premium meat sushi (2 pieces) - Manyo beef from Tottori Prefecture (recommended for the day) - Lemon cold noodles half - Cold noodles half with whole kumquat (soda mix) - Strong carbonated highball The premium tongue is seared quickly and then has a crisp texture with white leek and lemon, making it excellent. The hoso from Omi beef has no odor at all, and the fat becomes semi-transparent, giving a crispy and melty taste that spreads deliciously. The harami yukke with marbled fat is super fresh and rich, and when mixed with creamy egg yolk and yukke sauce, the mildness and sweetness of the meat are irresistible. The meat sushi melts in your mouth, and the luxurious meat placed on a small ball of rice is a delight. The recommended dish of the day is the "Manyo beef," which the manager is also proud of. It is delicious with a light taste, not too heavy, and a sharp fat that concentrates the umami. The melting temperature of the marbled fat is lower than that of regular meat, so the melt-in-your-mouth texture is excellent. It was a memorable meat quality. The counter seats and relaxing sunken kotatsu seats seem fun to enjoy with friends, and it is also lovely to savor in a private semi-private space. The manager, who is unforgettable, is very friendly and taught us a lot about meat. I will definitely visit again. It's best enjoyed with rice. - Premium Tongue for 2,800 yen: A rare delicacy of domestic black wagyu tongue! I felt so happy to be able to eat domestic tongue, and it was really delicious. - Manyo Beef Inner Thigh for 1,600 yen: Manyo beef from Tottori is hard to find, but you can try it at this restaurant! It's quick to cook and the lean meat is so tasty that you could eat as many slices as you want! - Premium Sagari for 2,400 yen and Premium Harami for 1,600 yen: The exquisite lean meat includes Sagari and Harami.
