This is a restaurant that serves okonomiyaki and teppanyaki. I was brought here by friends. There is a lot of parking available at the back of the restaurant. We had a lot of snacks because we were drinking alcohol. There is a teppan on the table, but the staff cooks everything for you and brings it to you, so you don't have to cook yourself. The lotus root and shrimp stir-fry and the garlic sautéed squid were all delicious. The okonomiyaki was thick but fluffy and delicious, and the yakisoba and yakiudon were also delicious.

After work visit! The menu is extensive, with options like okonomiyaki, negiyaki, and various teppanyaki dishes. There are also many choices for small plates and teppanyaki dishes. The yakisoba was delicious, especially the garlic rice and the spicy sautéed beef tendon and cabbage. I would like to go again! (^ ^)

Last week and this week, the two of us had one glass of lemon sour each with a draft beer. We ordered yakisoba mix, negi-yaki with pork and kimchi, tofu steak, grilled squid, sweet potato chips, lotus root chips, and finished with grilled rice balls. The total bill was 7000 yen, which was more expensive than last week, but the food was delicious and we were full. The white rice came with two types of furikake and pickles. We could even eat it without any side dishes!

I went there for the first time. The atmosphere was nice, and the staff were friendly. We ordered okonomiyaki with pork and squid, yakisoba with mixed vegetables, buttered corn, lotus root chips, sweet potato chips, and yam fries, along with two drinks each. We were satisfied with the meal, but the okonomiyaki was quite small. It didn't have a lot of vegetables mixed in, and it felt like it was mostly flour to fill you up! The yakisoba was actually more delicious than the okonomiyaki.

I was curious about a restaurant called Donguri-san. There is a parking lot in front of the store and on the east side, which was convenient. I entered the store right at opening time. It was crowded inside, which I don't like. I placed my order and waited for quite some time. It was almost full, so it would be scary if it got even more crowded. The kimchi tasted similar to something I had eaten before. The pork and soba okonomiyaki was average. I was surprised by the color of the sauce for the tonpeiyaki, but it was quite good. There used to be an acorn near the apartment I used to live in. There was a sign that said "waiting is tough, but making others wait is also tough" and the manager was Takakazu Kawamura. It was very popular and there was always a long line. It was my favorite place, and when it came to eating out for okonomiyaki, it was almost always Acorn in Fushimori. After the closure of the Fujimori branch, I was surprised to find myself coming here repeatedly without posting about it. I had my first taste of tonpeiyaki with pork and kimchi at the Fujimori branch, and my first taste of a salad with mizuna at the Shinborikawa branch. The pork balls here are fluffy, and now I can't seem to make okonomiyaki at home as good as theirs. Today, after visiting Fushimi Inari with my grandchild, I made a reservation by phone at 5:15 and when we arrived at 5:40, there was already a long wait. We ordered two tonpeiyaki, an extra order of pork and kimchi, bacon butter corn, udon-yaki, pork balls, and beef mochi cheese. The restaurant has many part-time workers and was closed for a long time due to COVID, but now it has fully reopened. How do they maintain the quality? It was delicious as always. Okonomiyaki after a long time, went to a nearby restaurant called Donguri ★ Yakisoba~ ★ Tonpei-yaki, still delicious as always ★ Okonomiyaki with pork and egg, crispy and tasty but somehow different from usual ★ Yakisoba~ ★ Classic yakisoba, not bad ★ Yakisoba with egg, it's carb overload. Tastes good with the egg. I'm thirsty today~.

It has been 20 years since the opening, and this popular restaurant is always bustling with customers. On this day, I had pork kimchi okonomiyaki, yakisoba, and two types of teppanyaki along with beer. I remember that when the restaurant first opened, there was a menu item called "kimchi made by the owner's mother", but unfortunately, it is no longer on the menu. The okonomiyaki was delicious and fluffy, no complaints there. However, the taste of the magic white powder was a bit strong overall. If you're looking for occasional dining out for okonomiyaki, this place is a good choice.

On this day, I originally planned to go to Donguri restaurant, but it was a holiday and there were families waiting, so I decided to go to an izakaya instead. We had some drinks there and then headed to Donguri for the finishing touch. I had a craving for okonomiyaki, so we ordered it. When we were seated, I was surprised to see a touch panel for ordering. I'm not good with this kind of modern technology, even with smartphones. Despite having staff, we had to order drinks through the touch panel. I managed to order a shikuwasa shochu highball and okonomiyaki, but had to call a staff member to ask for extra green onions on a separate plate and a smaller spatula. The okonomiyaki was cooked in the style of Hiroshima okonomiyaki, with the option to choose thin or thick noodles inside. I chose thin noodles. It wasn't a fluffy okonomiyaki, but there are fluffy options on the menu as well. The table had spicy sauce, sweet sauce, bonito flakes, seaweed, and mayonnaise for toppings. The green onions were meant to be added on top without cooking them, which was also delicious! It's important to note that not all okonomiyaki restaurants in Kansai offer raw green onions on top. Overall, it was a satisfying meal.

I have been saying this for a long time, but the Horikawa branch is really delicious! (laughs) The tantan-style yakisoba with thin noodles is a must-try! It has renkon, shrimp, fatty pork, and plenty of Kujo negi, so I always end up ordering it! (laughs) The taste is the same no matter which branch you go to, and it is really delicious. The location is easy to find along Horikawa Street. There are parking lots in the front and back, so it is convenient! I love the Donguri chain! (laughs) Please try it if you go. I will definitely come back. Thank you for the meal as always.

I suddenly had a craving for okonomiyaki. Off to Donguri I go. ★Negiyaki Udon with Egg is good. I prefer it over soba. ★Mixed Yakisoba in large serving with plenty of squid is delicious. ★Gyoza with lots of vegetables. ★Prosciutto and Tomato Carpaccio is refreshing and crunchy (lol). ★Tonpeiyaki never disappoints. ★Mixed Okonomiyaki with extra tempura bits is crispy. Cabbage prices are high now, must be tough.

Before visiting, I called to check the waiting situation and was told there were 4 groups ahead of me. They kindly wrote down the names of those waiting in line over the phone, which was helpful. I was informed that the wait would be around 30 to 40 minutes, so I arrived at 7:30, 30 minutes later, and was seated within 5 minutes. It was a Sunday, so it's understandable that the restaurant was busy from early on. I ordered a medium-sized draft beer (540 yen) and a hot water mixed with South High Plum Wine (540 yen) to start off with a toast. I also ordered the Standard Okonomiyaki (842 yen) in a large portion (+216 yen), which was a decent size. For the Yakisoba, I chose the Mayo Mentaiko Yakisoba (810 yen) in a large portion (+216 yen) with thick noodles. The large portion came with 2 servings and it was soy sauce flavored. It felt a bit bland, so I added some sauce. The Mizuna and Half-Boiled Egg Energizing Salad (702 yen) had yam inside, which was slimy and supposed to be energizing. The Beef Tendon and Cabbage in Spicy Sauce Stir-Fry (626 yen) had a good flavor that went well with beer. The Fried Chicken Cartilage (410 yen) was also tasty, but both dishes had small portions, which was a bit disappointing. Overall, it was a delicious meal at "Donguri," but the portions were on the smaller side. It might be more suitable for a group to try a variety of dishes.

Around 9:00 pm on August 7, I visited this restaurant for a late dinner after returning from the hospital. I chose this place because it had no reviews on New Horikawa. The atmosphere inside was the same as before, but the tatami seating had all been changed to sunken kotatsu-style seating. The counter seats were gone and there were more table seats now. The okonomiyaki was quite delicious, although the batter had a slight unusual taste. It was different from okonomiyaki in Minami Ward or the typical Osaka style, so it may be their own original version. I used to pass by "Donguri" in Fujinomori during high school, but I don't remember the taste. Overall, the meal was satisfying, especially the negiyaki. Thank you for the meal.
