The famous shaved ice shop was quite far from the station, about a 20-minute brisk walk from Sangenchaya Station. I had made a reservation online and headed there after work, but it was a bit of a distance. It's advisable to go with plenty of time because if you're more than 10 minutes late for the reservation or if everyone isn't there, it gets canceled. On this day, there were train delays on my way back, making me quite nervous, but I just made it in time.
As for the menu recommendations, the staff suggested BC, Luxurious Rich Purple Sweet Potato Milk, and Tiramisu. So, my companion and I ordered BC (¥1,350) and Tiramisu (¥1,150) respectively. The dishes were served in about 5 minutes.
Starting with Tiramisu, the shaved ice part was exactly like Tiramisu. Even when eaten with the ice, it wasn't watery, and it felt like you were drinking Tiramisu. The flavor was solid, and there was Mascarpone cheese in the center of the ice, which also complemented well. It's indeed a well-reputed place, and it's delicious! However, there wasn't a particularly surprising element, and towards the end, I felt a bit tired of the taste.
I took a bite of BC. Personally, I found it more delicious than Tiramisu. It was more of a shaved ice with cheese acidity than a sweet dessert. Unlike Tiramisu, which reproduces the cake so well, BC is a unique dish, so there was a sense of excitement. The taste is well-balanced and delicious! While preferences may vary, I highly recommend this.
Finally, I paid with PAYPAY. Thanks for the meal!
