I didn't know there was a shop like this near Kyoto Station. I think I will be using it many times in the future. We used it for a colleague's wedding celebration with four people. We were led to the second floor, where there were sunken kotatsu tables, creating a cozy atmosphere for close friends to gather. It was clean and not too formal. The lineup of sake was irresistible for sake lovers, and they also had craft beer. They even had Juyondai... Furthermore, the fish was delicious. Fresh, thick cuts, and even some fish names we don't hear often. Furthermore, the small dishes were also delicious. We were satisfied and drank too much. Thank you for the feast!

While exploring near my hotel in Kyoto, I stumbled upon this restaurant. I decided to give it a try and was pleasantly surprised. They had a wide variety of Japanese sake and the food was delicious. In particular, the oden, hamo tempura, and umesuisho were all very tasty. The sashimi was also fresh and satisfying. I think the cost performance is good as well.

Two families with babies visited, and we were able to enjoy ourselves without any hesitation. The delicious food and great atmosphere of the restaurant were excellent. Especially the variety of drinks and the delicious fish were outstanding. Next time, I want to invite my classmates who love sake.

I ordered three kinds of eel dishes and oden. Eel is something I crave when it's in season, so I was lucky to be able to eat it. I tried the recommended Japanese sake, Eikun, for the first time and it was as described on the menu, with a gentle flavor that I enjoyed. I would like to visit again when I go to Kyoto Station.

I couldn't find many izakayas in the area, so I was unsure where to go. Then I stumbled upon this place with a great atmosphere that I really liked. It was lively and full of young people even though it was late. I ordered a sashimi platter, karaage, and many other dishes. The grilled eggplant was delicious, you could even eat the stem. Everything else was tasty too. They had a wide variety of sake, and since I was in Kyoto, I tried sake from Kyoto only. Overall, I think it's a great restaurant. Thank you for the meal.

We ordered a sashimi platter with 5 varieties, a side dish platter with 5 varieties, and fried turban shell. We received 1 extra type of sashimi as a service and enjoyed it. However, the fried turban shell never arrived. When we asked about it, they took a long time to confirm and said they would need more time. It made us wonder if the order was actually placed. The selection of sake was extensive, but when it arrived in small teapot-like containers instead of bottles, it was a bit confusing. Overall, it seemed like a fun place, but there were some disappointing points.

I searched for a hotel near Kyoto Station and visited a restaurant nearby in search of sake and fresh fish. I was seated at the counter where I could see the staff busy preparing dishes. However, I could hear the part-time staff chatting loudly, which was a bit distracting. I was indecisive about what sake to drink as the menu was extensive. The sake was served in a stylish manner which added to the enjoyment. Unfortunately, there were no grilled or simmered fish dishes available that day, possibly due to a group on the second floor. The clear broth in the oden was flavorful and the ingredients were well infused. Overall, the oden was delicious. The dashimaki tamago was decent, but not outstanding compared to other options in Kyoto.

O-banzai 3 kinds of assorted sashimi for 700 yen. I was able to choose all the types. There were about 8 pieces of fatty tuna! This was my second time here, but I love the fish here, it's very delicious. (Please imagine that I ate about half of everything in the photos before taking them, so think there's about twice as much.)

It's quite rare to find a izakaya with this kind of atmosphere, and having such a wide variety of Japanese sake (around 20-30 types) is impressive. I was excited to see familiar sake on the menu. The sake is served in small decanters, which is cute. The food was delicious, especially the fish dishes. There are many other dishes to choose from, each with a unique touch that I appreciated.

I used the sunken kotatsu seat, and the thick cushion on the seat was comfortable. There were many types of alcohol to choose from, so I picked one to try for now, feeling excited about trying others next time. The fish was fresh, and there were also classic dishes like potato salad, side dishes, and various options for the end of the meal. The restaurant was crowded, so the service was a bit slow, and it was hard to find staff for additional orders, which was a bit disappointing. However, I still want to go back to this restaurant.

We enjoyed a delicious sea bream at a restaurant known for its seafood. The fish was swimming in a tank before being served, and it was fresh and firm. We particularly enjoyed dipping it in liver soy sauce. The other diners with me seemed to be trying sea bream for the first time, and they were impressed by the fish's appearance and the liver soy sauce. We were happy that the meal was reasonably priced, so we also ordered a variety of Kyoto sake to accompany our food. The grilled shellfish and other side dishes were perfect with the sake.

It is located about a 5-minute walk from JR Kyoto Station. It was very cold that day, so I wanted to eat oden with some alcohol and found this place. In addition to oden, the menu mainly consists of seafood, but there is also a wide variety of meat and fried foods! The oden I was looking for had a very light and delicious broth! It has a strong flavor of bonito and kelp dashi. The colors may be light, but each item is full of flavor. I tried red konjac for the first time and was surprised by its liver-like appearance. The taste was the same as regular konjac. I ordered the oden as my first order, but it took quite a while to arrive.

Overall, the ingredients were delicious. The seasonal ginkgo nuts were soft and delightful. The salt that came with it was very salty, so I recommend enjoying the ginkgo nuts on their own. I was curious about the fried ginkgo nuts, but they tasted similar to the grilled ones. Nevertheless, they were tasty and made me feel the autumn vibes. The specialty oden had a nice broth, but the soy sauce and mirin were a bit light compared to homemade oden, so it felt a bit lacking. The sashimi was fresh, and I ordered a 5-piece assortment but got 7 pieces as a bonus. Overall, it was just okay.

Near Kyoto Station. Took a stroll around the hotel area. I was interested in the fish and oden dishes. The sashimi was delicious and the oden was good too. The red miso soup was hearty and tasty. The grilled mackerel was huge but a bit difficult to eat. It seemed like there was also a second floor and it was crowded. Overall, the fish was delicious. It's easy to go alone, even at the counter. Kyoto Station seems to have quite a few solo diners! It was delicious!

I couldn't find any nearby restaurants open, but luckily stumbled upon this place while walking. It's affordable and the Chicken Nanban set meal was delicious. I watched them cook it at the counter, and it was nice to see that each dish was prepared fresh, not pre-made or frozen. The portion size wasn't huge, but the Nanban sauce and tartar sauce were really tasty. Considering the taste and portion size, it's a good deal.

Located about a 5-minute walk from JR Kyoto Station, this restaurant does not have parking. Tonight, I visited with my colleagues from work. A friend arranged for us to come here because I wanted to drink the local sake "Jikomi" from Mie Prefecture. The restaurant is spacious for being near the station in Kyoto, and we were guided to a cozy table with a sunken hearth on the second floor. We immediately tried the "Jikomi" sake, and it was honestly amazing! It had a fruity taste with the smoothness of a daiginjo. It was a bit pricey at 1500 yen for a glass, but the quality was outstanding. The dishes we ordered were all satisfying, with fresh sashimi and high-quality ingredients. In particular, the grilled fish made from the best parts was delicious with a rich flavor. The tuna and whale dishes were also excellent. Although we didn't eat and drink to our heart's content, the bill of 3600 yen per person was reasonable. I would love to visit this place again.

This is an izakaya that offers live fish from the fish tank. All sashimi is of course fresh, and the fish is still moving! The shellfish grilled on the shichirin in front of you is squirming! Enjoy it with a quick dip in soy sauce. In addition, the selection of sake is wonderful, and you can enjoy drinks like Eikun in a chilled sake pot.

Revisited the restaurant and had salmon and striped jack sashimi, tofu and scallop salad, medium-fatty tuna grilled, and surume (dried squid) tempura. Also had dashimaki tamago (rolled omelette) and oden a la carte. The tempura was a bit oily this time, so only ordered one plate. The salad had flavorful scallops and was delicious. The grilled medium-fatty tuna was as tasty as always. The oden's egg seemed to be separately prepared and had a different taste from the other ingredients. Despite this, I usually leave satisfied and will visit again after some time. The restaurant was almost full on the weekend.

Since opening, I have lost count of how many times I have been to this restaurant. It caters to groups, families, and couples alike. In the winter, the recommended course is the yellowtail shabu-shabu, but today my spouse and I visited for à la carte. We sat at a table on the second floor, which was a sunken kotatsu-style table. It was very relaxing. For sashimi, I usually order the chef's choice of 3 or 5 kinds, but today I went with amberjack, striped jack, and salmon. All of them were thick and melted in my mouth. It was worth coming just for that. The potato salad here is juicy and delicious. I love the squid tempura, rolled omelette, oden, and the chef's choice of 5 items, although I regret not selecting them myself. The egg, red konjac, and negi pouch were missing, which was disappointing. Tonight's discovery was the salt-grilled middle cut! The middle cuts of sea bream, salmon, and various other fish were incredibly tasty, rich in fat and collagen. Be prepared for your fingers to get sticky. We finished with salmon ochazuke and mentaiko ochazuke, which were average. This restaurant focuses on sake, so I recommend it to sake lovers. Once again, we ate too much. Thank you for the feast.

First visit. The menu had many tempting options, but since the restaurant's name had "fish" in it, I chose the seafood bowl! It was delicious! The chef's cooking was impressive, and the staff were friendly. I want to visit this restaurant every day!!!

I stopped by on my way back from Kyoto. Despite it being New Year's, the restaurant was full. I had made a reservation, so I was seated right away. I liked the casual and friendly interior and the staff. I started with beer and then tried various types of sake. There was a wide variety of sake, including some famous high-end ones, but even the others were satisfying. I ordered a variety of dishes, all of which were delicious, but the yellowtail daikon was particularly good. I also tried the gourd pickles in the pickled vegetable assortment for the first time, and they were tasty too. The cost performance was also good. I would like to go back again. I wish the restaurant was closer so I could visit more often.
