I came to enjoy wine after a long time♪ It's been over 2 years since my last visit. As popular as ever, even though we made sure to space out our seats, they were almost fully occupied. We started with cider and then tried two recommended wines decanted. One from California and one from Burgundy. For wine pairing, we had lamb hamburg steak. It's been a while since I had lamb! The hamburg steak was cute and round, but when you cut into it, it was quite firm and meaty, which I really enjoyed♪ The meat was juicy and full of flavor, and it paired perfectly with the sauce♪ The prosciutto and green olives served as appetizers were also delicious. It's definitely different from eating at home. Good quality wine makes a huge difference♪ The atmosphere was casual and I liked that. Enjoyed the high-quality food and drinks at a reasonable price (#^^#)

There were a lot of wines available, and I ordered the sparkling mango wine. The mango pulp inside was delicious. The roasted beef, a popular menu item that takes about 40 minutes to cook after ordering, was recommended. The meat was tender, and the sauce was delicious. We also ordered French fries and country-style meat pate, both of which were tasty. The friendly atmosphere among the staff made the overall experience enjoyable, and that is one of the reasons why I would like to come back again. ☺️✨

I noticed the menu item "ayu confit" and decided to stop by. It's a good value restaurant. Even though it wasn't on the menu, I asked if they could make a shandygaff, as I don't like alcohol. They happily replied, "Of course," and made it for me. It was delicious and enjoyable, so I recommend it.

I had a business trip near this restaurant on Friday, and I finished my work earlier than expected. I called to confirm they were open and visited around 4 pm. I had other plans at 7 pm, so I ordered a variety of appetizers and a few dishes to pass the time and had a light drink. The complimentary dish wasn't great for the price, but overall, it was a very nice restaurant.

The other day, I visited a diner in Kyoto for the first time in 10 years. They offer affordable wines and Western-style dishes. It's convenient as they are open all day. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was nice. Surprisingly, there are not many restaurants like this in Kyoto. I hope they continue to do well in the future. Items we tried: - Assorted appetizers - Confit of ayu (1000 yen) - Braised beef tripe (880 yen) - Herb-roasted lamb spare ribs (1100 yen) Wines we had (by the half decanter): - Cotes du Rhone (3300 yen) - Soave (2150 yen) (by the glass) - Hermitage (700 yen) - Pinot Noir Reserve (700 yen)

-Kyoto City, Nakagyo-ku, Friday night. Fully booked by reservation. I was able to enjoy my meal calmly at the counter seats along the wall. From the second order onwards, I used a QR code to order using my smartphone. -Complimentary cheese and crackers. -Assorted appetizers: omelette, carrot rapé, a small portion of meat, and some fried yellow grains. -Smoked platter with three varieties: eggs, bacon, and cheese. Very fragrant and the soft eggs were delicious. -Roast beef with gravy sauce. Some dishes need to be ordered in advance. The beef was well-seasoned and went well with mashed potatoes. It was tender. -French fries: thin and soft, very tasty. -Seasonal gelato (kiwi yogurt): chunks of green kiwi with a yogurt flavor, very refreshing. Overall, the flavors were rich as I don't drink alcohol. We each had two drinks and dessert, spending around 5000 yen per person. A great place for a chat.

Finally, I was able to take my son with me. Even though it was only 3:00 pm, the restaurant was already full. I made a reservation online, so we were able to get in smoothly, but it gets pretty crowded on weekends because you can start drinking in the afternoon. Today's roast beef seemed a bit tougher than usual. My son didn't like the liver paste.

White and red wine, cider (sparkling apple wine), 150g of roast beef, carpaccio of sea bream, and garlic shrimp were enjoyed. We made a reservation at the restaurant, but it seemed like most customers were walk-ins rather than reservations. The staff were friendly and easy to talk to, and the food came out quickly. There was no bell at the entrance, so whether they noticed us coming in depended on the staff, but they were generally quick. The roast beef was the highlight, but the other fish dishes were also delicious. The barrel-aged wines, both red and white, were tasty, with the red wine pairing well with the roast beef. The garlic shrimp dish was surprisingly simple, with just shrimp in garlic sauce, but the shrimp itself was delicious, so we were satisfied. (I thought thin slices of baguette would be nice with it)

The restaurant is located about a 10-minute walk from Karasuma Oike Station. I wonder if it's closer to Nishiki Market? The interior has a few tables and a counter, and there is a TV, so I thought it might be noisy with a lively crowd, but it was actually very calm and easy to relax. The staff were friendly and attentive, and I was able to enjoy delicious wine. The dishes, from duck to oyster a la plancha, smoked dishes, and bolognese, were all rich and delicious, perfect for pairing with wine. And above all, the roast beef was incredibly delicious. It takes about 30 minutes, so it's best to order it first. It's definitely worth the wait, so be sure to try it.

I used a coupon to enjoy two decanters and a platter of ham in the afternoon, and it made me happy. The roast beef was slightly different from the photo, but the atmosphere of the restaurant and the kindness of the staff made it a 3.0 rating. However, the appetizers for two, roast beef, and quiche cost about 4,500 yen per person, which seems a bit expensive.

During the pandemic, I hadn't been out for drinks at all, whether for work or in my personal life. However, I stopped by this place while out shopping. I felt like having a draft beer and some sparkling wine after a long time. It was 1 PM on a Saturday and the restaurant was relatively crowded. One group of four people was seated together, maintaining distance. I sat at the counter and first had a sip of the aromatic ale. Ah, it was delicious. I quickly finished it and ordered another one. I thought about getting the roast beef, but it had a 40-minute wait, so I decided against it this time. I regretted not ordering it later. Well, I guess this time, drinking was more important than eating. The assorted plate had mainly vegetable dishes, perfect for pairing with alcohol. The sparkling wine was going down smoothly. The smoked assortment went well with sangria too. Surprisingly, the gratin was delicious. It was a satisfying day with just daytime drinks after a long time of not going out.

The meat dishes were delicious, but the serving time was long so it is recommended to order in advance or order at the beginning. Every dish went perfectly with wine and was delicious. It's a place where you'll want to try other dishes as well. A stylish restaurant with delicious food and drinks. I would definitely want to visit again when I go to Kyoto.

Visited a Kyoto diner that I supported through crowdfunding during the pandemic for my last meal out in 2020. I went with the intention of supporting the restaurant, so I didn't plan on going anywhere else for a second meal and just ordered what I wanted to eat. I received a complimentary appetizer and ordered dishes starting with cheese marinated in red wine, pate de campagne, fried gnocchi, oyster confit, arrabbiata pasta, and red wine-braised beef cheek. Everything was delicious, but the standout dishes were the pate, oyster confit, and beef cheek. The oysters, in particular, were exceptionally tasty and I will definitely order them again next time. I know it's tough for restaurants during the pandemic, but I really want this place to keep going strong. I will definitely visit again, maybe next time during the day for a leisurely drink.

I apologize for the gap, but here is a review of a restaurant I visited during my trip to Kyoto last autumn. I chose a local favorite instead of the typical touristy places in Kyoto. I made full use of GoTo Travel coupons, GoTo Eat points, and Beaujolais coupons, which was great. Location: Located a bit north of Nishiki Market on Yanaginobanba Street, on the first floor of a four-story building. It was a bit cold at night, so the outdoor tables were empty. The surrounding area is not very bright, so it might be a bit hard to spot. It's better to refer to a map. Interior: As soon as you enter, you'll notice that the restaurant is very busy. It's advisable to make a reservation, as it can get crowded depending on the time. There are about 16 counter seats, 3 tables for 6-8 people, and 1 entrance table. I sat at the counter facing the wall, separated by partitions for safety measures. The staff were wearing masks. There was a TV playing in the background. Food: One great thing about this place is that they have a wall full of recommended wines for each menu item. This was very helpful for choosing. I started with a Beaujolais to toast and quickly ordered the Roast Beef (1800 yen). This dish is prepared at 19:00 and 20:00, so it's best to order it first. It comes with gravy or parsley and garlic butter sauce. I also had the Chicory and Gorgonzola Cheese Salad (900 yen) with a refreshing wine vinegar dressing. The Duck Prosciutto (650 yen) was interesting. I also tried the Gorgonzola and Walnut Sauce Pasta (1300 yen), which was delicious. The Chicken and Porcini Mushroom Bruschetta (980 yen) was the most impressive dish, with a rich and flavorful porcini mushroom taste that was outstanding.

I came to Kyoto to meet my junior! I wanted to eat something delicious so I searched on Tabelog and made a reservation. The restaurant is called Kyoto Diner. It's a beautiful place. We toasted with draft beer and ordered shrimp ajillo and a platter of prosciutto and salami. I have been ordering ajillo a lot recently, but this one here is the most delicious!!! The salami also captured my heart! I'm not a big fan of cheese, but my junior ordered a platter of 3 types of aged cheese. When I tried it... it was surprisingly good!!! Kyoto truly has a lot to offer. Thank you for the meal!!!

We used the Go To campaign at our favorite restaurant in the neighborhood with 3 people. We started with a toast with beer, then each ordered a glass of wine. The staff strongly recommended the roast beef, so we ordered it. It arrived in about 10 minutes, despite being told it would take an hour. We also had smoked cheese, garlic shrimp, and then ordered a bottle of red wine. We were quite tipsy by then and ordered several main dishes, including ragu pasta and risotto. Everything was delicious and satisfying, but the cost performance may have been a bit lower this time. Also, I didn't like how the orders were taken. We ate and drank well, spending about 8,000 yen per person. Thank you for the meal.

The food is undeniably delicious. Especially the restaurant's boastful roast beef with homemade sauce is worth trying. The portion size is large, so it may not be suitable for a date, but I recommend ordering it when visiting with multiple people. The mashed potatoes are also warm and tasty. The alcohol selection seems fancy but is not particularly outstanding... For those who enjoy drinking, it may be better value to have more drinks at a second location.

I got excited with the appetizer platter of tripe! The potato salad-like kraut on top was delicious! But how close am I getting to gout? The Gorgonzola and walnut sauce was superb. The contrast between the fatty and lean parts of the lamb chops was excellent.

I found a stylish bar near my accommodation! When I passed by the store the day before, it was quite crowded with foreigners and female customers. I had to go. The name of the place is Kyoto Diner. I visited right after checking in. It opens at 3 pm on weekdays, so I arrived around 5 pm and there was only one group of customers. I wasn't very hungry as I had been killing time at a café, but I thought wine would be nice, so I ordered a decanter. I also ordered a platter of appetizers, which turned out to be quite generous. It had an Italian taste and was quite rich, so even though I wasn't very hungry, this platter was more than enough for me (laughs).

A great place in Kyoto to drink from lunchtime onwards! The alcohol is delicious and the snacks are amazing! Everything was delicious! The wine bottles are recommended. The pasta dishes take a while to come out, so it's best to order them first. I was surprised by how many people were drinking from lunchtime onwards.

Meeting my friend S-chan, who lives in Nara, for a daytime drink in Kyoto♪ We headed to "Kyoto Diner," which opens at 12:00 on weekends and holidays (*′ω`)b It's my second time here since my first visit two years ago, but S-chan has been here for a solo daytime drink in the meantime! She seems to have fallen in love with the draft wine here (*ノ∀`*) S-chan, an adult woman who enjoys solo daytime drinking, and me, a childlike aunt. It was a slightly cool mid-September Saturday. We made a reservation for the opening time! We took advantage of a nice coupon where if you order a recommended wine bottle (or two carafes), you get a free "assorted appetizers" (・ω<) This lineup is sure to make the carafes empty quickly♡ with a smile on my face. Prosciutto, two types of salami, carrot rapé, marinated mushrooms, marinated olives. I'm not a big fan of salami, but it was surprisingly delicious with a homemade feel. I also liked the texture of the carrot rapé♪ S-chan, who is a big eater despite her slim figure, seemed satisfied with just the appetizer, but she was eagerly looking at the menu, asking me, "Which carb dish are you getting?" (^◇^;) ☆Fettuccine with Tender Chicken Ragout Sauce (1650 yen) Both of us love tender chicken, so we agreed on this dish♪ It looked quite rich but was surprisingly refreshing! It was a delicious pasta*✧:.(⁰▿⁰) S-chan loves roast beef, so I let her eat more (lol) ☆Freshly Baked Roast Beef 150g (1800 yen) This dish, which takes time to cook, was a must-try. We ordered it right away. There were two sauce options: gravy or parsley garlic butter. I chose gravy. The roast beef was thick and large (๑°0°๑) It was soft but slightly difficult to chew... However, that made it more enjoyable to savor the flavor of the meat. The sauce was too rich for my liking, but it was a satisfying dish. Next time, I plan to come with about four people and try the garlic butter sauce. The location is great, and the fact that they open at 12:00 on weekends and holidays is wonderful*✧:.(⁰▿⁰) It's not just about drinking, the food is really delicious, which is truly appreciated! I want to continue to visit this favorite place❤︎
