I chose the Melon Tart Ice Cafe Latte for the season. The custard, melon, and tart crust harmonized well and tasted delicious. I enjoyed it all in one go. The open and relaxing atmosphere inside the cafe is great for taking your time. I also tried their baked goods, but it's best to go with the tart here.

I came to buy here again for the special occasion this year! The tarts here have very little whipped cream, so even though I don't like cakes, I can eat two pieces! The fruits are large, juicy, and amazing! They also held items for me, so I was able to purchase smoothly! Unfortunately, they were out of peach and shine muscat, but I would like to go buy them again!

I visited Kyoto Keizo Oyatsu. This tart specialty shop opened on June 11, 2022. They offer takeout and also have a cafe space on the second floor for dining in. As soon as you enter the shop, you can smell the delicious aroma of tarts. They seemed to have limited options as I visited just before closing time. However, all the tarts looked so delicious that I had a hard time choosing. They pay a lot of attention to the tart crust and fruits, using 100% Hokkaido fermented butter for a crispy texture and topping each tart with plenty of seasonal ripe fruits. The tarts I tried were: Pineapple Tart for 580 yen, American Cherry Tart for 800 yen, and Kiyomi Orange Tart for 640 yen. Just look at that Pineapple Tart with a huge pineapple on top - it made me laugh in surprise! Each tart had an abundance of colorful seasonal fruits that were juicy and perfectly balanced in sweetness and acidity. The fruits and tarts were delicious on their own as well. The cafe space on the second floor had a cozy atmosphere with warm wooden decor. Despite being just before closing time, the staff provided very polite service. I was impressed by the ambiance, taste of the tarts, and customer service, and I definitely want to visit this place again.

After having naan at home, I tried a lemon and chocolate pudding tart for the first time. I often have berry desserts in the spring, but this was a nice change. The lemon wasn't too sweet or sour, just refreshing. It was a nice treat after curry. I visit this place frequently, and I always look forward to trying different menu items each time.

I visited a restaurant where you can eat in. I ordered a lemon tart for 620 yen plus tax and a berry and chocolate pudding tart for 680 yen plus tax. The refreshing lemon tart is perfect for summer. I was drawn to the tart with chocolate cake on top and chose it.

I have purchased from this place multiple times and personally, I prefer it over a famous tart shop in Kyoto. I love the texture, flavor, and presentation of the crust here. Visiting this place to buy treats has become an essential part of my life, without any hesitation. I usually go in the evening, so I miss out on my favorite cheesecake. But I found out that reservations are possible, so today I got berry and citrus flavors. The quality is always top-notch and I have no complaints.

Both the taste and appearance of Western and Japanese sweets are important. Tarts that use a lot of fruit are very colorful and delicious. There is now an eat-in space on the second floor, so when you order on the first floor, they bring it up to you. On this day, I had a blueberry and cheese tart. Delicious! The second floor is a bit plain, and when it's crowded, the noise echoes and it can be hard to hear conversations. That's a bit disappointing.

I happened to pass by the shop and decided to go in out of curiosity. There is a cake showcase on the first floor, and a cafe space on the second floor where you can dine in. This time, I had a blueberry cream cheese tart and a cafe au lait. It had just the right amount of sweetness and was easy to eat in one go. The tart crust was crispy and delicious. There are also counter seats, making it easy to use even for solo customers.

First visit! I was drawn in by the tarts visible from outside the shop, so I decided to go in. They had over seven different types of tart cakes, making it hard to choose. They had chestnut tarts, daily specials, and more. This time, I chose the Tarte Tatin! I was very satisfied with the firmness of the tart base and the sweetness of the cake. Thank you for the meal! Tarte Tatin (700 yen?) Hot coffee (500 yen)

I was intrigued by the stylish and trendy Kyoto Keizo Oyatsu. They have many cute tarts that look like Kilfebon. I chose the Mont Blanc Tart and the Grape Tart (the simpler one). Each piece costs around 400 to 1000 yen, so it's a bit pricey, but they were really delicious.

On the way back home, I happened to pass by a shop that I vaguely remembered hearing about before. Oh, it's a 10-minute Mont Blanc shop! So I decided to go in for Mont Blanc. The showcase was surprisingly sparkly and beautiful, with delicious-looking fruit cakes. Despite my initial intention to stick to Mont Blanc, I ended up getting a Mont Blanc tart (laughs). The Mont Blanc cream was the same in all of them. The bottom was meringue, so you have to finish it before the meringue texture changes. The Mont Blanc had chestnuts soaked in cream and liquor inside, with a sponge bottom. The Mont Blanc tart had a layer of matcha in between! Tart is definitely the way to go!!! It was amazing... the Mont Blanc cream was so delicious, and the matcha layer was rich and dense like terrine. I want to eat another one right now! It's so good that I don't want it to run out! Although I started to feel a bit anxious about running out (while eating and laughing), the sweetness and richness of the dessert made the amount just right by the time I finished. The size was large and satisfying, and I was pleased with it. But I definitely want to eat it again soon! ♡

Ordered items... Mont Blanc, iced tea
Specialty dish... Despite being famous for their fruit tart, as a chestnut lover, I couldn't resist the taste of autumn. Slowly savoring the chestnut in the sweet center before enjoying the cream. Quite a high quality treat! Sweets are really the best!

Today, I visited a shop in the KYOTO KEIZO series that opened at 11:00. It used to be a bakery, but now it's a shop that sells OYATSU tarts! I saw so many delicious tarts on Instagram that I had to go check it out. I arrived around 11:00 and was the fifth person in line. The staff was very quick and the line moved smoothly, which made me happy. Inside the shop, there were colorful tarts and friendly staff. I couldn't decide which one to get, but I knew I had to get the tart with the incredibly thick kiwi that I saw on Instagram. I also got tarts with strawberry, grapefruit, and a surprise flavor. When I got home, I tried the surprise flavor tart. It was so delicious! The tart was crispy and the kiwi, melon, strawberry, and blueberry were so juicy and sweet. It was a perfect balance of flavors. I will definitely be going back to this shop soon.

When I visited the store around 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 19, there were a few customers inside. You order inside the store, pick up your order, and then leave. I chose a pineapple and chocolate dessert to take home and enjoyed it with coffee. The pineapple was delicious! It's clear that this shop specializes in fruit-based desserts, and they are indeed tasty! The tart was crispy and wonderful. I will definitely go back to buy more.

After strolling around Nijo Castle, we went in the evening, so the second floor eat-in area was empty. The shop had delicious fruit tarts, especially the Shine Muscat tart. It was so tasty! ♡
