We visited the restaurant with two people. It was a bit early, but since it was Saturday, the place was almost full. The raw horse meat was delicious. Horse meat is best when eaten raw. We ate a small amount because we had another place to go, but the bill was very reasonable.

If you want to eat horse meat dishes in Kyoto, I highly recommend this place! They serve different cuts of horse sashimi on a horse-shaped plate, and the staff will explain each cut with enthusiasm. The horse yakiniku is cooked in a Genghis Khan-style pot, where you can grill high-quality meat on top and let the vegetables absorb the delicious horse oil dripping down. The warm ponzu sauce with boiled horse meat and the soft horse karaage are must-try dishes! The all-you-can-drink option for around 1,800 yen includes premium shochu like Tomi no Hozan and Kurose, or sake like Kyutoryu and Kudoki Jozu, making it a great deal for heavy drinkers. I used a 20% off coupon from Tabelog when making a reservation, so it was very affordable. Unfortunately, I ended up losing money the next day after visiting this place the day before the Takarazuka Kinen race...笑笑

The horse sashimi I've had before didn't taste particularly special at various places, but the horse sashimi here was different. However, I found the horse meat shabu-shabu I tried for the first time to be delicious. I thought it was a restaurant where I could come back for more. (I was so focused on eating the shabu-shabu that I forgot to take a picture) By the way, the best way to finish the shabu-shabu was with rice, not noodles. I've never had the noodles, but I think rice was the right choice. Next time, I want to go with a larger group and try eating raw liver. The Yukke bowl also looked delicious, so I want to come back for that too.

It was delicious. The horse liver was very tasty. It had a firm texture and was crispy, which was surprising. It was my first time trying horse meat yakiniku. It is healthy with little fat, which I think women would appreciate. I preferred the horse meat raw.

The inside of the restaurant is very small and tables are closely packed together. It has a somewhat cluttered feel. However, you can enjoy delicious horse meat at a good price. I can guarantee the taste. The horse sashimi platter was especially delicious. It was disappointing that the liver sashimi was sold out.

[Taste] - The half-thawed horse sashimi served here is exquisite. The alcohol is also delicious! They pay attention to the richness and whether you want lemon.
[Atmosphere] - Despite being a casual izakaya, the important areas are clean.
[Cost performance] - The all-you-can-drink menu is luxurious.

When you want to eat horse meat in Kyoto, this is the place to go! I have been here several times, and it is almost always full, so reservations are a must. Also, it's not exactly a clean place (lol), so I recommend going in clothes that you don't mind getting dirty. However, no matter when you go, everything you eat is delicious! In particular, the assorted horse sashimi and horse meat yakiniku are a must-try! The staff are all very attentive and I am always impressed. They are strict with the time and will remind you after 2 hours, so it's recommended for a first round of drinks. ☺️

I made a reservation for Thursday at 7:30 PM and the restaurant was almost full. As expected. It's been a while since my last visit. I ordered the all-you-can-drink yakiniku course. For an additional 600 yen, you can add horse sashimi, which was also delicious. The staff taught me how to grill the meat, just lightly searing it to cook through. I'm so full now. I also love the fried chicken here, it has a unique sweetness that's addictive.

I hadn't been there recently, so I wasn't sure how it was during the pandemic, but I went and it hadn't changed. The staff were friendly as always, and there were still a lot of customers. I always order the same course, and this time my overall score was one point lower than last time. It was exactly the same, so maybe they should consider changing one dish depending on the season. But it was delicious.

After the Kyoto Daikassen event, I searched around Kiyamachi area. Oh! Horses!? There's all-you-can-drink option, which is a good deal! I also tried horse sashimi, but I haven't had horse yakiniku before so it was a fresh experience. Surprisingly, it had a light taste! I savored the moment thinking, "So this is horse yakiniku."

The horse meat restaurant on this day seemed to have a lot of shortage of ideas, but they served an unusual part of the meat. It was a bit too drippy, but still delicious. The good thing is that even if you eat a lot here, there is a strong ally in the form of all-you-can-drink, so you can save money. The all-you-can-drink option offers a wide selection of drinks, so if you plan to have three or more drinks, the all-you-can-drink option is more cost-effective.

The quality of horse meat is completely different and overwhelming at this restaurant! It was amazing! We didn't have a reservation, but they let us in until the next reserved party arrived. As mentioned before, the quality of the horse meat was amazing. You must try the horse sashimi and seared horse meat! The dish with sweet potato original butter was incredibly delicious and impactful! And to top it off, they offered complimentary ice cream at the end. I have decided to make a reservation for my next visit for sure!

The taste is rated 4, the atmosphere is rated 1, the service is rated 3.6, and the ease of entering the restaurant is rated 3.5. It feels like the staff are working energetically. The place has simple chairs without backrests, and there are many people talking loudly, so it's good for those who like lively izakaya atmospheres. Recommended if you want to try horse meat. Expect to spend around 4000 yen for a light meal for two people.

If you want to easily eat horse meat in Kyoto, this is the place! The izakaya-style interior is lively and the variety of alcohol is abundant. I frequently visit this place. The only concern I have is that some of the chairs are not stable, so it may not be suitable for eating slowly and calmly. The taste is great.

I visited for dinner. I used it for a reunion of 23 former colleagues. At first, I was worried because it was still under a time limit after the lifting of the state of emergency due to the coronavirus, so looking at the pictures, I thought it might get quite crowded. Although it wasn't spacious, the distance between tables was decently open, so that was good. The second half of the course was horse meat yakiniku, and the initial impression of horse sashimi was good, so my excitement increased with the delicious image of yakiniku. It was simply delicious. Definitely worth a visit.

When it comes to horse meat, I used a premium coupon to visit for the first time outside of the course menu. I had a combination of horse sashimi and grilled meat. Also tried the yukhoe (Korean-style beef tartare) and seared horse meat. The grilled meat cooked quickly and was all excellent. It comes out in a semi-frozen state, but apparently the freshness drops when it thaws and the blood comes out. The all-you-can-drink option for 90 minutes at 1800 yen includes a wide variety of shochu and sake, which was a pleasant surprise. It was a weekday but the restaurant was always full. I recommend making a reservation.

The main dish of my leisurely trip in Kyoto was horse meat, recommended by someone who got me hooked on it. They made a reservation for us at a delicious horse meat specialty restaurant in Kyoto. We were able to choose different cuts of meat, so we enjoyed sashimi and grilled dishes while observing the different textures. The grilled Ichibo had a unique marbling that was different from beef, with a good balance of lean meat and marbled fat. It was a bit tricky to cook perfectly, but the rich flavor of the Hiresagari was truly exceptional, rivaling that of Wagyu beef. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

I came to eat horse meat after a long time! Despite the state of emergency declaration, the restaurant was almost full! It was my first time at this restaurant, but I had been to the yakiniku restaurant next door before and passed by it several times without realizing it! On this day, I had: - Yakiniku for two people - Horse sashimi (half order) - Raw horse liver The horse meat was delicious even though it had been a while since I last had it! I especially enjoyed the Binta and Ichibo cuts! I ordered the horse sashimi as a half order, but it came with around 3 pieces of 5 different cuts, so I was satisfied! The staff explained the menu in detail and even cooked the yakiniku for us, so I was very satisfied with the service! Overall, I thought the level of customer service was very high. It was a very satisfying experience!

I visited a horse meat specialty restaurant near Kawaramachi Station that I had been curious about. I arrived around 5 pm on a Saturday without a reservation, but they said it was okay until 6 pm, so I entered. They seem to be almost fully booked with reservations, so I recommend making one in advance.
[Atmosphere]
The seating arrangement is quite open, and it has a lively and fun atmosphere with people chatting and enjoying themselves.
[Cuisine]
They have rare cuts of horse meat for yakiniku and hot pot, but since I was short on time, I ordered beer and a single dish.
- Horse liver sashimi: The fresh liver has no smell and a firm texture, giving a crunchy bite compared to beef.
- Horse sashimi assortment: It includes fillet, mane, lean meat, and loin. All are extremely fresh, especially the melt-in-your-mouth mane and the crunchy texture of fillet.
- Horse meat tempura: Thinly sliced lean meat is deep-fried, allowing you to savor the rich umami flavor of the meat.
I would like to try the yakiniku next time. This is a recommended restaurant if you want to try horse meat in Kyoto.

I usually only eat lean meat when I go for yakiniku. This time, I went to enjoy horse meat. There were various types of horse sashimi, and it was delicious. There were also various cuts of meat for grilling, and I enjoyed them all. The different cuts had different flavors and textures, which I found more to my liking than beef. I might want to go again. We had made a reservation for the day, but the message about extending the all-you-can-drink option didn't get through, so we had to leave after two hours. It was fine though (laughs). The lighting was nice, but the tables were shared with other customers, so it felt like our conversations could be overheard. They also offer individual drink all-you-can options, so I want to go with a group next time. As for the competitive aspect, I wonder how it would be?
