Saint Loz Bakery is a bread specialty shop affiliated with Viron, located in Shibuya and Marunouchi, offering only three types of bread loaves. Unlike the main store in Ginza, this one is exclusively for takeout. Somehow, it has garnered higher ratings on Tabelog than the main store. Upon visiting around 12:30 on a weekday, there was only one other customer. Since I had purchased the Pullman bread at the Ginza store last time, I decided to choose a different type this time. Although I was tempted by the limited edition walnut bread and raisin bread in Aoyama, they were too expensive, so I had to pass.
- English Bread: ¥972
Made with wheat flour from North America, this loaf bread is fermented for 36 hours to create a mountain-shaped bread. Apparently, it uses the popular Retrodor flour from Viron. It's recommended to slice it thinly and toast it until crispy. While toasting, the entire room is filled with the scent of butter, making you feel happy. The surface becomes crispy, while the inside remains fluffy, with a good texture that doesn't stretch too much. The balance between saltiness and sweetness is exquisite. It's delicious even as it is. I felt it was less sweet compared to the Pullman bread. I look forward to making it into a toasted sandwich. It truly lives up to its quality!

I visited around 2:30 PM on a weekday and smoothly purchased a loaf of square bread for 1000 yen. It is recommended to eat it fresh, where the crust is pleasantly firm yet moist, and the inside is soft and fluffy, allowing you to taste the sweetness and richness of the wheat flour as you chew. If toasted, the crust becomes crispy, enhancing the wheat flavor and sweetness even more, while the inside remains crunchy and chewy, still enjoyable when frozen. I definitely want to come back for more. Thank you for the delicious meal!

#Saint Louis Bakery's #Square Loaf Bread. Around 1 p.m. on Saturday, other types were already sold out. The texture is chewy, and the crust is quite firm. Unlike the overly trendy raw bread from a while back, this one feels just right. The scent of wheat is nice, but it might not be ideal for eating on its own. It's better paired with something, like a spread or filling. However, today, I've indulged in my favorite butter, Sel de Mer. With this spread on top... delicious! Equivalent to three regular loaves for 1000 yen. They seem to offer a tasting session at the Ginza store's morning service, so maybe I'll try that next time.

I occasionally buy bread from the Aoyama store rather than the Ginza store because it's more convenient. All the bread options are delicious, but lately, I've been getting the square-shaped bread. This time, I toasted it for a limited edition highball snack, spreading premium fermented butter from Hokkaido's Yamanaka Farm on it. It was delicious.

Probably for the first time, I strolled through Aoyama and Omotesando. As rumored, there were rows of gorgeous boutiques. The ladies walking the streets somehow looked beautiful. No, they were indeed beautiful. Though it felt a bit awkward for a middle-aged guy like me to wander here, my curiosity got the better of me. I headed to "Central Bakery." It's a somewhat intimidating-looking bakery, but I mustered up the courage to go in, and they said, "Today, we only have square-shaped bread." Of course, I said OK! I bought the so-called high-end square bread, brought it back to Osaka, and sliced it with a bread knife. In a word, "Delicious!" The fine-textured dough has a sweet and delightful flavor. Eating it as is, the bottom part is exquisite. The bread is like a luxury brand!

Weekdays at 11:30 AM with no waiting, and no items sold out. *Please note that only cash payment is accepted. Paper bags are free. ・Square Loaf 1080 yen ☆3.8 Repeat Purchase. Recommended to eat it fresh. When eaten fresh on the day of purchase, the crust is firm with a resilient texture, while the inside is fluffy and moist to the point of not being able to stand on its own. The taste is subtly sweet from the ingredients, but it's not the type dominated by butter or cream, making it a versatile and exemplary bread. The firm crust becomes addictive as you chew, spreading the sweetness of the dough. When heated in the microwave for a few tens of seconds, it becomes even more moist with a stronger scent of butter, making it delicious. It's large, dense, and the price for a 2-pound loaf is cost-effective.

There was a highly-rated bakery near Omotesando that offered three types of bread and five varieties, including raisin and walnut. The raisin and walnut options were a bit pricey, but they were fluffy with generous ingredients and definitely delicious. The regular bread was reasonably priced and had great cost performance.

While in Omotesando, I visited "Saint Lo The Bakery Aoyama Store" to buy bread for home. I've been to their shop in Ginza several times, but this was my first visit to the Omotesando store. Unlike the Ginza store, which has a cafe, this Omotesando store seems to only sell bread. There were no other customers and no sold-out items, so I was able to shop smoothly.
- Loaf of bread: 1,000 yen
I returned home and tried the bread. Following the advice to eat it without toasting, I had it as it was. It was sliced into 6 pieces, with a firm crust providing a satisfying crunch, unlike store-bought bread which tends to be softer. However, the inside of the bread was incredibly soft and chewy. It was so soft that cutting it with a knife was a bit challenging. I understood that it's because of the firm crust that you can have such a soft crumb. The soft bread had a rich sweetness from the wheat and was incredibly delicious. I realized that while the luxury bread trend may have settled down, delicious bread still stands out. Thank you for the wonderful treat.

Visited the renowned bakery Saint-Lo The Bakery Aoyama branch on a weekday at 3:00 PM. Since there were three customers inside making purchases, I waited outside until they left. Having previously purchased a product from the Ginza branch, this time I bought their Pullman loaf for ¥1,080. The Pullman loaf, made with North American wheat, is a square-shaped bread perfect for both toasting and enjoying fresh. As it's challenging to finish two loaves alone, I split it in half. At home, I enjoyed half as is, and the next morning, I turned the other half into a fruit open sandwich with sliced pineapple and banana. For dinner, I made thick-sliced pizza toast topped with cherry tomatoes. It was a delightful experience revisiting Saint-Lo. Bon appétit!

Visiting Omotesando on a weekday. It's Friday, so I went in search of holiday bread. The Ginza-itchome store had a huge line, but this one was easy to access and I'm happy about that. The taste remains the same, but location does make a difference. I got a Pullman loaf to go. I lightly toasted the surface and the inside was soft. The inherent sweetness of the bread is delicious. I want to eat it again.

I visited this bakery as it showed up when I searched nearby. Since it was midday on a weekday, I didn't have to wait in line. I bought their most popular square loaf bread and tried it the same day. It was delightfully soft and tasty.

I always used to buy it in Ginza, but I found it in Aoyama too. So, I couldn't resist buying it. I really like the bread here. It's a square-shaped bread made from domestically sourced wheat. I love square-shaped bread. I eat it without toasting, just as it is. It's delicious. I can't stop eating it (^◇^;) I can eat it endlessly (laughs). Once I buy one, I can't stop eating it. It's a delicious dilemma ( ̄▽ ̄;) Thank you for the meal!

Our family's favorite bread is the shokupan (Japanese bread loaf) from Saint Marc Bakery. Since I was in Aoyama, I stopped by to buy bread for the week. There was no line. I bought a square loaf. When toasted, the crust is perfectly crisp, the crumb is not too dense or too soft, just the right texture. I realized once again that this bread is the most delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I have visited the Ginza store several times, but this was my first visit to the Aoyama store. Since they usually sell out by the evening, I went in the afternoon and was able to make a purchase. ■Square Loaf Bread ¥1080 (tax included) The Pullman was sold out, so I chose the square loaf bread made with Japanese wheat. According to the instructions, it is recommended to eat it "as is" without toasting. At the time of purchase, it was still warm enough to feel the residual heat, and it was so soft that the paper bag was partly left open. It was still soft even after cooling down at home, making it somewhat difficult to cut. Since it's a double loaf, it's hard to consume all of it without either giving some away as a gift or storing it in the freezer. It's similar to the once-trendy raw bread, but it doesn't seem to use as much cream or sugar, making it versatile enough to be eaten as is or used for sandwiches. It was a reliably delicious taste that I haven't had in a while. Payment is cash only.

In front of Aoyama Gakuin University, there is a popular bread specialty store called "CENTRE THE BAKERY," which is the second branch opened by Takahiro Nishikawa, the owner of VIRON, in Ginza. They offer various types of bread, such as British bread for 900 yen per 1 kg, walnut bread for 2,700 yen per 1 kg, and the ultimate raisin bread for 3,800 yen per 1 kg. The bakery focuses on the original flavor and texture of bread, carefully baking with attention to the origin of the wheat and the recipe. The atmosphere is stylish, and the cafe section is always bustling. Payment is in cash. Here are the scoring criteria:
□ British Bread
□ Cost performance is good
□ Stylish atmosphere
□ Cafe is very crowded

I've been to the Saint Le Bakery Ginza branch for both lunch and takeout, but this was my first time at the Omotesando store! Well, it's pretty much the same, haha. I really wish they sold half loaves, but they only have one size... It was sooo hefty to carry back home! But it's super fluffy!

★Instagram@chihoda★YouTube@Chihoda93★TikTok@chihoda★Twitter@chihoda★Blog★Chihoburo★I heard this place is usually less crowded than the Ginza store, where there's always a long line, making it difficult to buy anything. So, I went there right away after hearing it was empty. I went around 5 pm on a weekday, and there was literally no one there. I was aiming for the crispy British bread, but it was already sold out by 5 pm. Two out of three types were sold out, and only the square-shaped bread priced at 1080 yen was available, so I bought that and headed home. It's really hefty. I wish I could have eaten it fresh on the day I bought it, but I couldn't, so I warmed it up the next day and had it toasted. I tried both thick and thin slices. When I cut it thick, it was quite chewy and dense, and the crust was thick, making it a bit hard to eat. So, next time, I cut it really thin and tried it. The chewiness remained, but the crust became crispy and crunchy, making it incredibly delicious. It depends on personal preference, but I like bread with a crispy texture, so the thin slices were more enjoyable for me. Next time, I really want to try the British bread. Thank you for the meal! 🍞

I came here in search of delicious bread, doing a tour of famous bakeries. It's conveniently located just outside Omotesando Station exit, which is great for accessibility! There are so many tasty places around here, aren't there? I visited excitedly, but upon closer inspection, I realized I had been to their shop in Tokyo Station before! Saint La Bakery - I thought it must be delicious! I wanted to try other items too, but unfortunately, everything except the sandwich bread was sold out! I'll have to try again next time! I'll definitely visit again if I get the chance.

I had some errands to run in Aoyama, and while looking for souvenirs, I discovered that Saint Le Bakery, which I thought was only in Yurakucho, is also in Aoyama! There was only one choice: the square loaf bread. I was able to buy it successfully! We'll enjoy it deliciously with my family.
