On a Saturday in August, after finishing up some errands near Mitaka Station, it was time for lunch. Mitaka Station area is actually quite a gourmet town, you know. On hot days, something hot is good, right? So, shall we slurp some ramen! As I muttered to myself, I headed towards "Kenkayaka," a ramen shop located about a 5-minute walk from the north exit of the station. Kenkayaka is part of the Ramen Hyakumeiten group. Their specialty salt ramen cost 1,300 yen. The shop operates as "Ura Kenkayaka" on Wednesdays when Kenkayaka is closed. Upon arrival at the shop, there were four people waiting outside. The system seemed to be purchasing a meal ticket from a machine inside the shop, then lining up again. I ordered the special salt ramen and within about 3 minutes of being seated, the steaming bowl of ramen arrived. The appearance of the ramen was beautiful, unlike a rough warrior of the Sengoku period, it was more elegant like the courtier, Onono Komachi. The broth had a rich flavor of various seafood ingredients, and the noodles were made from 100% domestic wheat, giving it a nice chewiness. The ramen also came with slices of pork loin and chicken tenderloin, both cooked perfectly low-temperature style. The toppings like seasoned bamboo shoots, seasoned egg, green onions, and seaweed added a nice touch. Each ingredient harmonized well, making it a very delicious meal. I thoroughly enjoyed this bowl of ramen and left feeling fully satisfied.

I visited for an early lunch on Sunday! I chose the Ajitama Tsukemen, and it was incredibly delicious. The noodles soaked in kombu broth were first enjoyed on their own, then I added a bit of Miyakojima salt for the next few bites, and finally finished by dipping them in the sauce. I have found another restaurant that I will definitely crave again! ♡

On this day, we visited Mitaka Kenyaka-san just as they opened, and we were able to enter without waiting in line on our first try. A few minutes later, two more groups arrived, so it was perfect timing. I ordered the special Niboshi (dried baby sardines) Ramen (1300 yen) at the ticket machine, bought the food ticket, and handed it to the staff. The ramen was served in about 7-8 minutes. The soup had a nice salty flavor with a refreshing taste of dried baby sardines, although it had a slightly bitter edge to it. The chashu (sliced pork) consisted of two slices of chicken and two slices of pork shoulder loin. The chicken was tender and delicious with a light flavor. The pork was thinly sliced, tender, and extremely tasty! The bamboo shoots and seasoned egg were also of high quality. Thank you for the meal!

I finally got to visit Kenyasaka, which I had been curious about for a while. The staff's service and operation were very good, and I had high expectations even before eating. The soup was very satisfying, with a homemade flavor that brought out the best in it, and the noodles were also very delicious. Next time, I want to try the salt ramen.

Great!!! I finally visited this place that has been near my neighborhood for a while. I ordered the special dipping ramen. The noodles were very delicious, and they mixed well with the kelp water dipping sauce. The flavored egg and chashu were made very carefully and tasted amazing. The basil cheese bowl that I ordered as an extra was also fantastic! I will definitely come back again!!

Chewing the noodles makes a snap sound, they are sweet and really delicious! There are two types of chashu included, which adds to the satisfaction. The egg is half-boiled! The soup is also delicious, and I was so absorbed in drinking it that it was gone before I knew it. Definitely going back to this ramen shop.

I visited for lunch. It was just past 11 o'clock, but there were already customers. I was able to enter without waiting in line. I had the salt ramen. The soup was made with scallops and other seafood, giving it a rich flavor. I finished it all. I would like to visit again.

On Sunday afternoon, just past 10:30, we arrived at the top of the restaurant. By the time we finished eating, it was packed. Today, we came to try a limited dish that we couldn't eat last year. According to the restaurant's posts, today might be the last chance to try it. The dish that was served was a luxurious Italian creation. The taste was like a new concept of ramen or spaghetti. It was delicious, but I could tell that it took a lot of time and effort to make, so the price was a bit high. Thank you for the meal.

I finally visited this place that only offers rich dried fish ramen on Mondays!! The soup has a strong flavor of dried fish and salt that I like. The chashu is sweet in taste, which is not my preference, but seems to go well with the soup. I forgot to take a picture, but I also ordered the clam seasoned egg, which was the best seasoning I've had so far. The perfect amount of saltiness makes you want to eat it even when you're full. I think it's the best dish that complements the firmness of the noodles. I want to come back again.

I went there around 12:30 on a Saturday, walking about 5 minutes from Mitaka Station. I was able to get in without much of a wait, as they had only counter seats. The salt ramen I had was made with homemade noodles, which had a good chewy texture. The salt ramen was not just light, but rather rich with a strong umami flavor from seafood. There were two types of chashu, with the chicken chashu being flavorful and not dry. The menma (bamboo shoots) were soft and tasty. I would like to try their tsukemen (dipping noodles) next time.

#Ramen Hyakumeiten Tokyo 2022 conquest journey 88th store #Ramen Genki #Specialty salt sauce uses kombu, shiitake mushrooms, squid legs, and bonito that have been simmered after steeping the dried fish in water. The soup, made from dried kelp, momiji, chicken bones, and beef bones, was probably the best salt ramen I've ever had. The homemade noodles were also my favorite type, with a firm texture due to low water content. The level of dedication to homemade, additive-free ingredients at this shop was impressive. I definitely want to try their tsukemen noodles soaked in kelp-infused water.

I'm not a fan of thick and heavy tsukemen, but I love kombu-infused tsukemen! 95th ramen shop of 2023 in Musashino City, Tokyo - Kenkayaka, one of the top 100 ramen shops, first visit Special tsukemen for 1,400 yen (extra-large for 160 yen), arrived on Thursday at 1:15 p.m. No waiting, no parking lot. It was my first visit to this renowned shop in a while! I've always wanted to try Kenkayaka. I went there during the week, just after the Bon Festival, and there was no wait, so I got in easily. By the time I left, there were 6 people waiting in line. I usually order the default ramen on my first visit, but this time I wanted to try the tsukemen with kombu-infused broth! I'm not a big fan of thick soup in tsukemen, but I really like the kombu-infused tsukemen. The noodles were soaked in the kombu-infused broth, so they were smooth, slippery, and had a good texture. First, I ate the noodles plain to taste the wheat flavor. Then, I added some salt, which brought out more sweetness. Finally, I dipped the noodles in the soup. Some reviews mentioned that the soup was too salty, but I found it to be just right. The soup had finely chopped chashu pork in it, and they also served chicken chashu and rare chashu on a small plate! Three types of chashu! It would have been nice to have some pickled radish or something as well. It was incredibly delicious.

I visited a famous ramen shop in Mitaka which has been selected as one of the top 100 shops. I arrived a bit late for lunch, around 2 pm, so there was no line and I could get in right away. The shop is located a bit off the beaten path, a short walk from Mitaka Station, and there were many Western customers when I visited. It seems that ramen is really popular among inbound tourists! I ordered the classic shoyu ramen with seasoned boiled egg, and as the shop's name suggests, it was a light and refreshing ramen with a gentle broth.

I visited a ramen shop located about a 4-minute walk from Mitaka Station and a 20-minute walk from Kichijoji Station, which was selected as one of the top 100 ramen shops in Tokyo for three consecutive years. It was easy to walk from Mitaka Station to the shop, and on the way back, I walked to Kichijoji Station. The shop was located in a residential area but as I got closer to Kichijoji, there were more shops and it was easy to walk. The shop had only counter seats, keeping it simple and neat. Inside the kitchen, there was a huge pile of shells.
I ordered the special salt ramen topped with chashu, seasoned egg, chopped green onions, bamboo shoots, and daikon radish sprouts. The chashu, which was cooked at low temperature, was tender and delicious. The soup, despite being salt-based, was not transparent but had a brownish color, and it was extremely tasty. It had a strong saltiness but not overwhelming, with the concentrated umami flavors of various ingredients, not just shells. I couldn't stop myself from drinking it. The straight thin noodles were homemade using 100% domestically grown wheat, and they had a firm texture and were also delicious. They were easy to eat and had a strong presence despite being thin noodles. It was a delightful meal.

On a weekend afternoon, I visited "Ramen Kenyaka," a place I had been curious about for a while. I arrived a little after 1 pm and luckily there was no wait (though by the time I left, there were 6-7 people waiting). I ordered the special simmered bonito ramen and a beer. It turns out that I'm not a big fan of ramen that is meticulously prepared... I didn't particularly like the chicken chashu either. So, I didn't have much to say about the taste and left the restaurant. Oh, the beer was really delicious though.

On a holiday at 10:30 am. First in line. The store opens at 11 am. By the time I finished eating, it was almost full. I ordered the cold mixed noodles with the special simmered fish stock ticket. The chicken char siu and two kinds of pork char siu were delicious as always. I added cold soup at the end and finished it all. Thank you for the meal.

I went near closing time on the weekend. There was no line, so I parked at a nearby coin parking lot and headed in. I had been looking forward to trying this place for a while. I ordered the tsukemen. Eating the noodles first with the salt seasoning was fantastic. I really want them to do this every time because you can taste the deliciousness of the noodles. I was expecting a mild soup flavor based on the name "Kenkaya," but the soup had a strong, rich taste.

I decided to try the highly praised ramen in Mitaka while out and about. I chose Ramen Genkoyaka, which is conveniently located near the station. There were only four people in line, so we were seated in under 10 minutes. I ordered the special soy sauce ramen (you buy the food tickets inside the store). The thin noodles were chewy and had a great texture. The broth was delicious, but I found it a bit too salty for my taste, as I usually try to limit my salt intake. However, this is just my personal opinion. As we were finishing our meal, a couple who came in after us mentioned, "It was delicious, wasn't it?"

Today I tried a special soy sauce ramen. The base flavor, which seems to be seafood-based, combined perfectly with the soy sauce, making it delicious. One of the highlights of this ramen is the firmness of the noodles, which sets it apart from other ramen shops. I recommend it to anyone visiting Mitaka.

Special salt ramen priced at 1300 yen. A highly recommended ramen shop that I've always been curious about. Took a sip of the soup and unexpectedly, the refined taste of clams really stood out. The W chashu made of chicken and pork had a strong presence yet had a gentle flavor. The slightly salty and fluffy boiled egg reminded me of a cream puff. The unique baby bamboo shoots, firm thin noodles, and white leeks all topped with finely sliced daikon radish. Each bowl was like a piece of art, no matter which angle you looked at it from. The three-dimensional aspect was outstanding. Beautiful. The entire process from entering the shop to being served was efficient and stylish. The taste, appearance, soup, everything was meticulously planned. Pleasant without being pretentious. Truly a dish that is good for both the body and soul. Surprisingly, the customers were evenly split between men and women. A sophisticated and thoughtful masterpiece. As a result, it has become a dish that is loved and cherished by people of all ages and genders. "After your meal, if you could kindly lift the tray up, it would be appreciated." The label with this message on it made me feel like the shop owner's attitude and feelings were packed into it, and it warmed my heart. Thank you for the meal.

This was my second visit to this restaurant since last year. I arrived a little over 30 minutes before opening time, knowing it was a famous place. Surprisingly, I was the first in line. I was a bit happy as I waited for the opening time at 11 o'clock. I ordered the special soy sauce ramen this time, as I had tried the salt ramen before. The price seemed to have gone up slightly, but my bowl of ramen arrived in less than 5 minutes. The aroma of the soup, a blend of chicken, beef, and seafood, teased my appetite. Taking a sip, I could taste the rich flavor of the seafood, combined with the intensity of chicken and beef. The noodles were medium-thick and straight, with a good chewy texture and a delicious flavor. The two types of chashu were also tasty - the pork chashu was cooked at a low temperature, while the chicken chashu had a peppery flavor. The bamboo shoots were also easy to eat, making this truly a special bowl of ramen.
