Around 20:00, entered a restaurant with many customers already seated. Sat down and greeted two friends I hadn't seen in ages with a cheers over a glass of draft Asahi Super Dry beer. We ordered a sashimi platter, grilled chicken skewers, assorted deep-fried skewers, grilled beef tongue, octopus tempura, salad, and potato cheese bake. Everything was served quickly, which was convenient for a station-front izakaya. The quality matched the speed of service, prompting us to order more. We enjoyed "Daikichiyoshi Tosatsuru" dry ginjo (Kochi), "Kyotosui" junmai ginjo (Kyoto), and "Daijiro" junmai ginjo nama-zake (Shiga). I wonder why the sake from the west always seems to agree with my body. I used to think Niigata sake was the best, but the sake from my hometown in Kansai also suits me well. Perhaps it was the nostalgic atmosphere with old friends, but my heart felt content. Now, where should we go next?

The phone response was polite and left a good impression. When I mentioned that there was a pregnant woman in our group, they went out of their way to change the menu for us. The overall impression of the food was high-quality Kyoto cuisine. The Kyoto yuba was delicious, and the fried fish was especially tasty. We ordered a course menu, and the timing of the dishes was good. There were a lot of cold dishes, so personally I would have liked one warm dish. Overall, I was satisfied with the atmosphere, food, and service of the restaurant.

Whatever you order is really delicious. The pairing with alcohol was also excellent. It's easy to get to because it's right in front of Kyoto Station. The cost performance is also great. Whenever I visit Kyoto, I want to go there to eat every time.

It was excellent. The dishes arrived quite quickly. The portions were generous and, above all, delicious!! I was impressed. The Kyoto-style obanzai and dishes using wheat gluten were particularly good. There are constant visitors, so it's better to make a reservation.

I went with my junior. The atmosphere was calm and had a high-class feel, but the price wasn't that high.

I use it for entertaining. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is calm, and you can choose from about 10 types of local sake for all-you-can-drink. It is perfect for entertaining, so I will continue to use it in the future!

We came down from the mountain and went to a izakaya with KU-san. The interior of the restaurant was clean and predominantly white, which made me feel a little hesitant to enter. However, the food was delicious. I would like to visit this place again after coming back from the mountain.

It's cheap, close to the station, and convenient because there are private rooms.

To be honest, we stumbled upon this restaurant by chance while looking for a tempura place that was fully booked. It turned out to be a casual izakaya, and the interior was clean and had a touch of luxury. We were worried it might be expensive, but the menu was surprisingly reasonable. However, the portion size was small, so we ended up ordering more. We had a sashimi platter, assorted tempura, and assorted skewers. Since it was our first time, it was easier to order these sets. We also added grilled chicken skewers, tomato salad, beef tendon stew, eel tempura, grilled rice balls, and salmon tea pickles. The dishes were all tasty, but lacked a distinctive flavor or uniqueness. It felt like they had everything but nothing stood out. We were left wondering what the restaurant's specialty was. Overall, it was a decent meal.

■Visit date: May 15, 2015■Received items: Daikon salad, bonito tataki, town's sashimi, pizza, sazae sashimi, etc.■MEMO: Visited with colleagues from the company. Located near Kyoto Station, the interior is clean and the cost performance is very good. There are also plenty of counter seats, so you can relax and enjoy your drink. You can see the chefs cooking inside the counter. The spaciousness of the restaurant without feeling cramped is a plus.

It was a hot day, so I had the urge to drink beer and stopped by Izakaya Warikan. It is located on the 3rd and 4th floors of a pachinko parlor next to Kyoto Tower. The name Warikan doesn't really appeal to me. The interior of the restaurant is very clean and has a high-class Japanese restaurant feel. The complimentary appetizer was bamboo shoots with tree buds. I ordered beef tongue, fried tofu, assorted grilled chicken skewers, tofu steak, edamame, and two glasses of draft beer. The total cost for one person was about ¥2500.
