I went to a famous bar in Akasaka after work. I ordered two seasonal cocktails: Pomegranate Supreme and Orange × Orange, Pineapple, Honey. They were both fruity and elegant, with a rich taste of alcohol. The bar was high quality and stylish.

Located about a 2-minute walk from Akasaka Mitsuke Station, this place is easy to find with Torikizoku as a landmark on the fifth floor of a building. The atmosphere is great. By arriving early, you can basically have the place to yourself during prime time. To start off, I had a Gin and Tonic with Silent Pool gin, which was refreshing. The potato salad charm came with ice cream and was both stylish and tasty, although a bit surprising for some. Next, I tried a Gimlet with Tanqueray No. 10, which was also refreshing. The Negroni was unexpectedly served shaken, with a sweet taste thanks to Melo-Cola syrup. There was a subtle bitterness and fragrant notes of clove in the aftertaste, which paired well. Personally, I would have liked a bit more bitterness, but overall, it was delicious. Thinking about trying another place, but ultimately decided to stick around for a bit longer.

I walked around Akasaka and ended up quite far out, a bit lost before finding a building. I sat at a counter with no one else around and looked at the menu. I ordered a Martini on the rocks and took a refreshing breath. The Martini was delicious, with just the right strength and a nice touch of ice. Most customers were ordering fruit cocktails, but I asked for a recommendation between rum and marr. They didn't have marr, but they had two types of grappa and two types of rum. I decided to try the English and French rums straight. Both were good, and paired perfectly with the cheese. As last call approached, I ordered a Stinger. It was also shaken, with a nice balance of sweetness and aroma, which I enjoyed. It was a satisfying end to the day.

Kiwi x Rum Piña Colada for ¥2560 per person. They have 6 seasonal fruit cocktails available, which was impressive! The fruit cocktails are reasonably priced. I wanted to try all of them, but since it was our third stop, I only had one. The Kiwi and Rum Piña Colada had a lot of kiwi in it and was very delicious. It even had a cute meringue swan on top. However, the cover charge of ¥990 was quite high, so it felt expensive to only have one drink. I definitely want to try at least two drinks next time.

Opening the door to a new bar always gives a thrilling feeling. The sensation is different from opening the door of a restaurant, and it always excites me as I enter. The spacious interior has a counter in front, where multiple bartenders are working. The ambiance feels nice at this bar. Sat at the counter and was served by a very pleasant bartender. While discussing with them, made some choices. Had a tuna and cracker appetizer while sipping on a glass. It felt great. Below, in order: □ Apple Mango (1540 yen tax included) Mango and champagne mango mimosa. The sparkling sensation of the bubbles and the sticky sweetness of the mango blend well together. The chocolate inside is a nice accent. □ Black Cat (1490 yen tax included) An original cocktail with Yomeishu. A peach liqueur-based, easy-to-drink cocktail where the sweetness is adjusted. With whiskey and Yomeishu, you can taste the flavors of cinnamon and Asian ginseng. Seeing photos didn't fully capture the atmosphere either, but upon mustering the courage to open the heavy door, a wonderful space unfolded that proved the popularity of the place. It seemed daunting to face a strict dress code or sit in silence with cocktails in front of everyone in a setting where only the sound of jazz and the bartenders creating drinks reverberated, but this bar turned out to be a lively place where each person enjoyed conversations while savoring authentic cocktails. The first drink was a cocktail made with seasonal fruits. It was delightful to start with a limited edition offering, with an expectation of 6-7 options available. I tried a cocktail called "Pearl White" made with strawberries, an arrangement of a gin and tonic, refreshing with a hint of sweetness and the flavor of strawberries unfolding. The strawberries were naturally sweet, accentuating the fruit in this drink. Tasty... The sugar pattern on top also added a stylish touch. Another drink was a Frozen Daiquiri, a go-to choice at a bar. I opted for one with banana added. Enjoying the crispness while detecting the presence of bananas, it felt like a sophisticated mixed juice for adults that everyone would love. It was garnished with Satoh woodcraft on top, truly remarkable. My companion ordered a cocktail called "Black Cat," where playful details like cat paw prints were included. Engaging in conversation while enjoying drinks. The bar had an elegance and flair, yet it was a lovely and approachable place.

It was a relaxing space to enjoy drinks. I sat at the counter and found the wall under the chair to be comfortable. For my first drink, I had a cocktail called Rocher. It had a cute dolphin decoration. They also had cocktails that would appeal to female customers, like fruit cocktails. For my second drink, I tried Black Cat, which had Yomeishu in it. It was a combination of KoHyakusen Whiskey, peach liqueur, and Yomeishu. I couldn't imagine the taste, but it turned out to be quite good. The cocktail had cute cat paw prints on it. This bar is recommended for dates or for solo visits. I'm glad I went and will definitely stop by again if I have the chance. 🥺
