I used it for dinner when I went to play in Kyoto with my friends. It is located a 2-minute walk from Gion-Shijo Station, in a good location just off the main street, so it has a hidden gem-like atmosphere. There is a river with murmuring water flowing behind the restaurant, where it joins the Kamo River, and there are terrace seats as well. I liked the modern luxury atmosphere inside the restaurant, so I made a reservation for a sofa seat and visited. When I entered the restaurant, the modern luxury atmosphere I had imagined exceeded my expectations and my excitement rose. There are sofa seats on the terrace side, and the outside is all glass, providing a great sense of openness. Since we were the first customers, we were able to take unlimited photos, which made food bloggers happy. After enjoying the interior of the restaurant, I relaxed on a vintage-looking sofa with just the right amount of softness. I looked at the menu and ordered what I wanted to eat a la carte. While waiting for the food, more and more customers arrived, and the restaurant was soon full, showing its popularity. The terrace seats were also full, despite it being a bit chilly, showing the popularity of Gion-Shijo. Next to the terrace seats, there is a river where you can enjoy the murmuring water, and on the opposite bank, there are cherry blossom trees and lush green leaves. Right now, you can enjoy the scenery of fresh green leaves. My throat was dry, so after toasting, I quickly quenched my thirst with a Carlsberg. Today's bruschetta was a daily special, with duck, ham, and roast beef. The bruschetta, with just the right amount of saltiness from the meat and a crispy texture from the bread, was delicious and disappeared in no time. The shrimp and avocado marinated salad featured plump shrimp mixed with avocado paste, which was delicious. The presentation of the salad exuded a stylish and sophisticated feel. The bacon and mushroom ajillo had large strips of bacon, mushrooms, and broccoli piled high, creating a visually appealing mountain of ajillo. I had never seen ajillo with so many ingredients before, and I wondered if this was the Gion-Shijo style of presentation. The duck and Kujo green onion pizza had a thin crust. The pizza, with a crispy texture and not too thick crust, was a perfect accompaniment to alcohol. I couldn't help but order a glass of red wine and enjoy another glass. The red wine was recommended by the staff, so it was delicious without a doubt. I enjoyed the fresh fruitiness and elegant taste of the red wine. For the main course, I was drawn to the rare cut on the menu and ordered the grilled tomahawk steak. The steak, cut thickly, was surprisingly tender, and the combination of meat juices and sauce when chewed was exquisite. I was very satisfied with the steak, but I regretted not being able to eat the risotto or pasta for the finish as I was already full. When I went downstairs, there were VIP private rooms where you could enjoy karaoke, and I could already hear voices enjoying karaoke. As I relaxed on the modern luxury sofa, the sun set, and the unique chandelier lighting of the bar illuminated the atmosphere even more colorfully, making the modern luxury atmosphere more comfortable and enjoyable. The atmosphere outside on the terrace also changed from daytime drinking to nighttime drinking, creating a good vibe. Additionally, the counter at the back was actually made of gold.
