A delicious hamburger with a focus on both the patty and the bun! The unique fluffy and light-colored buns are paired with a flavorful patty that can also be enjoyed as a set meal. The generous amount of lettuce and tomato adds a healthy touch, with various flavors to choose from. Despite its size, it doesn't leave you feeling heavy like other chain restaurants. On this hot day, I ordered the Salsa Burger and a hot drip coffee - it was a satisfying brunch!

Located about a 10-minute walk east from Keihan Kiyomizu-Gojo Station, this shop is on the east side of Higashiyama Street, about a 5-minute walk north from there. The shop isn't very large, but it has an open atmosphere. The owner is friendly, and the hamburgers were delicious. It's also nice that smoking is allowed outside the shop.

Smile Burger for ¥1150 and a cola for ¥300, tax included. It's been 10 years since I last had it. Still delicious. I've had it twice in Sasebo City, and it's similar in taste and size to Sasebo Burger. The balance of sourness, sweetness, and spiciness is also quite similar. I want to eat it again. It's a lot, so eat it when you're hungry. Also, it's best to eat it right after you buy it. Due to a sharp decrease in tourists, they usually close around 5 pm and have irregular holidays, mainly on weekends.

On the way to Kiyomizu Temple, there is a hamburger restaurant along the bus route. It is amazing! Among all the gourmet burgers I have eaten, this one is the best. They grill the patty after you order, and the white bun is soft and fluffy. If you're tired of Japanese food in Kyoto, be sure to stop by this place. The interior has an American atmosphere and is very cozy, and the staff are also lovely.

It was a last-minute decision to have lunch, so I didn't have time to research and ended up at this restaurant that caught my eye while walking. I was planning to have a parfait for dessert, so I wasn't too hungry for a heavy meal. I found a couple burger set that came with two half-sized burgers, which seemed perfect for me. The portion was just right, not too little, and the buns were crispy and delicious. The taste was light and easy to eat. At first, it was just the two of us, but soon tourists and regular customers also arrived.

I went to a restaurant near my house! I ordered a cheeseburger and because my throat was dry, I also ordered a juice! The juice came in a 350ml can and a glass with ice on the table...a bit unexpected and surprising...haha...but it seemed a little pricey. The cheeseburger came with side chips, which was a surprise! The biggest surprise was the size of the burger, it had a volume like those trendy ones from a few years ago, which made it a bit hard to eat, especially for women. But the meat was tender and the buns were soft and very tasty. I think it was a spicy chili sauce, but the sauce inside was also the best! I wish they had potatoes instead of chips. The taste and volume were excellent! If it becomes a bit cheaper, I might go back to this place.

I went to "Smile Burger Kiyomizu Temple Store" in Higashiyama-ku, Kyoto City. It is located about 950m east of Keihan Main Line Kiyomizu Gojo Station. The burger menu consists of only 3 types: "Smile Burger", "Smile Cheese", and "Smile Burger Q", which is quite simple for a burger joint. I chose the basic "Smile Burger" for 950 yen, but it still felt quite expensive for someone used to McDonald's prices (lol). The white bun and thick patty have quite an impact visually. It is quite tall, so there is a skewer to prevent it from collapsing. It's difficult to eat as is, but I think you're supposed to squish it down and take a bite, right? The bun is soft, more chewy than wheaty in flavor. The patty, while thick, lacks the drama of oozing meat juices or a poignant rareness, it's more of a simple and robust type. The roughly sliced tomato and crispy lettuce are fresh and enjoyable to eat. Thank you for the meal :)

A long time ago, there was a restaurant in Yamashina (probably the same one). Since I went there before, around 3 o'clock, there were no other customers. I ordered a Smile Cheeseburger (1150 yen) with a cola. The burger wasn't very thick but had a meaty taste. It had tomatoes, lettuce, and cheese, and the buns were light and delicious. Instead of fries, they served potato chips. The place had a nostalgic, old-fashioned feel to it. I enjoyed the burger and I plan to visit again!

Based on the recommendation of a friend who lives in Shimizu, I visited this restaurant for the first time. I enjoyed the atmosphere of the interior while sitting at a pleasant table. It was a weekday lunchtime, and a young and cool owner was running the place by himself. I ordered the standard Smile Burger and the Salsa Burger with bacon topping. The first thing that caught my eye was the side of potato chips! While there are various types of fries at different restaurants, I was shocked to see potato chips. Personally, I felt a strong American vibe and my excitement rose. The burgers themselves were overwhelmingly American-sized. My jaw almost dislocated multiple times (laughs). The freshness of the lettuce, the acidity of the tomato, and the overflowing juiciness of the thick patty made me realize once again how great hamburgers are.

After seeing the autumn leaves light-up at Kiyomizu-dera, I was thinking about what to eat in Kyoto. Should I go for traditional Kyoto cuisine like obanzai, Japanese food, eel, Kyoto pickles, or Kyoto vegetables? But no, I decided on a hamburger! So I headed to Smile Burger at Kiyomizu-dera. When I entered the shop, there was no one there, which made me a bit nervous. There was only one employee, a friendly guy. I was a bit indecisive about what to order, but I ended up getting the "Smile Burger" with a sandwich and a Budweiser. The hamburger had a juicy, thick patty with a generous portion. It wasn't the dry, 100% beef patty you often find nowadays, but rather a meat with a bit of binding agent that made it juicy and allowed the sweetness of the vegetables to come through. The sandwich paired well with the barbecue sauce and was delicious. Everything was made with care, surpassing the typical fast food experience. It was a delightful meal. Thank you. By the time I left, the place was bustling with foreign tourists and group tours.

I picked out a few restaurants I wanted to visit in advance, but when I arrived, I forgot them and ended up using a search engine. Thanks to that, I found Smile Burger, where I ate a big burger! I ordered the Salsa Burger for 1200 yen and the Cheese Burger for 1150 yen. I got a drink with a coupon from Tabelog - orange juice and oolong tea. The burgers came with potato chips and pickles. I wasn't sure how to eat such a big burger, but I decided to just go for it and not worry about what others thought. The white buns were crispy and soft, the thick patty was meaty, and the fresh tomatoes and lettuce with salsa sauce provided the perfect balance of spiciness and acidity. Burgers may seem like junk food, but with bread, meat, vegetables, and more bread, it's actually a well-balanced meal, don't you think? Thank you for the meal! ★★★★★

I couldn't help but stop in front of the shop because of the delicious smell of meat. I wasn't planning on eating, but I couldn't pass up the sight of the word "burger." I decided to order a half-size sandwich since I wasn't very hungry. The patty was cooked to order and the smell inside the shop was amazing. Finally, the sandwich arrived with crispy bread and a juicy patty mixed with onions. The meat was delicious and I could tell it was homemade, not frozen. The American barbecue sauce added to the flavor. I definitely want to come back and try the hamburger next time.

Burger café in the Shimizu area. The interior is relatively open, along the main street. The seating is spacious and the layout is clean. It's a bit junky but has a sense of cleanliness. You order and pay at the counter in a semi-self-service style. I chose the signature Smile Burger and a Coke Zero. The Smile Burger is impressive with its towering volume and heavy weight. The fluffy buns have the smile emblem on them. The juiciness and tenderness of the patty are surprising. The white buns have a resilient and mild taste that could be used in dessert menus. The staff is polite, and the right amount of neglect is good. This is Shimizu's gourmet burger with a unique touch. For those interested in enjoying autumn leaves and gourmet burgers, be sure to check it out.

Smile Burger Gion, located between Shijo and Gojo in Kyoto, is a hamburger shop with a cozy grilled aroma inside. But this time, the purpose was to try their shaved ice! I ordered the Kyoho Grape shaved ice for 700 yen. The staff disappeared into the stockroom and emerged with a giant Kyoho grape, still on the vine. They washed it, juiced it with a hand mill, shaved the ice with an electric shaver, and served it to me. It was a generous portion with some grape skin left on, giving it a wild touch. When I tasted it, the fresh aroma and juiciness of the Kyoho grape spread in my mouth. There was a slight bitterness from the skin, but it was not bothersome. The finely crushed ice melted smoothly in my mouth. Inside, there was a scoop of vanilla ice cream, a nice touch. Overall, it was a wild yet natural shaved ice experience, fitting for a hamburger shop. Thank you for the meal!

I sometimes use it for lunch. If you call in advance for takeout, they will make it for you, which is convenient. Fast food burgers are good, but this restaurant's burgers are exceptional. The hamburger is delicious!!! The buns are delicious too! The pickles and potato chips are also delicious! Everything is my favorite. I always order the Smile Cheeseburger, have them cut it in half, and share it with someone. It's quite filling, so half is enough for me!!! Students or big eaters might be able to eat one by themselves. The Cheeseburger costs 1,150 yen, which may seem expensive, but it's so delicious that I'll eat it. Also, the guy working at the shop is handsome. Thank you for the meal!
