Located southwest of the Kawaramachi Maruta-machi intersection along Kawaramachi Street. You can purchase hamburgers from outside the shop. I had my child in a stroller and was admiring the burgers from outside when a staff member opened the door and helped me bring the stroller inside (because there was a step). I bought the following four items that were displayed inside: ● Hinami Burger 390 yen - A hamburger using onions from Awaji Island, displayed in the showcase visible from outside. It has a thick and meaty hamburger patty with sliced onions inside delicious bread. Very filling! ● French Dog 340 yen - A French bread with a deep cut in the middle, filled with a thick sausage. It seems to have a rich flavor from the bechamel sauce and Gruyere cheese. ● French Toast 1 loaf 380 yen - I asked for it to be sliced into 5 pieces. It has a simple yet fragrant and chewy texture, which I really liked! ● Soy Milk Donut 100 yen - I bought it for my daughter and she really enjoyed it. It's small and perfect for children, and the price of 100 yen is also great. ● Mushroom Tartine 250 yen - A soft round bread with a hollow center filled with shimeji and eringi mushrooms and bacon. It has a sweet and slightly spicy flavor from the white sauce and black pepper. The bacon adds a nice salty kick, making it quite flavorful. ● Cheeseburger 400 yen - Even in the morning, the selection of items decreases significantly by lunchtime, and by 12:30, there are not many choices left. Perhaps due to the location, they sell a lot at lunchtime? Maybe the afternoon lineup is different...

I love both the products and the concept of this favorite store.
- Salsa Dog: A thick sausage, about 3 cm in diameter, sits firmly in the middle of a chewy dough, with crispy minced onions and a delicious salsa sauce. It's so satisfying that one is enough to make you feel full. The balanced acidity and spiciness of the salsa sauce are also delicious.
- Nuts & Berries Scone: After trying this, I think this store has the best scones. Packed with ingredients, the roasted nuts are fragrant and the crunchy texture is very satisfying. The dough is compact yet very moist. The sweetness is perfect!
- Blueberry Milk France: A chewy dough with germ incorporated, filled with blueberry jam and a creamy milk jam. The generous amount of fillings makes this bread almost indulgent. I also support the concept of supporting farmers. They use plenty of vegetables sourced from Awaji Island and homemade wheat grown on the island. I want to support their proactive approach to using safe and fresh domestic food.

Raisin French Toast for 350 yen (including tax) and Blueberry Milk French for 260 yen (including tax). I arrived at the bakery on my bicycle a little after 1 PM. They were only open until 2 PM that day, so there were hardly any bread left. Both were delicious and I enjoyed them as they are my favorite types of bread. Next time, I will come when there is more variety available. Thank you for the meal.

Around 3 PM, when I went there, most of the bread was sold out. However, since I was already there, I decided to buy some bread. I was hesitating on which one to choose when I found an "a la carte" set with four different slices of bread for ¥440. I bought it. The set included Pain de Mie, Pain de Campagne, Whole Wheat, and Rich.

At 2 o'clock on a weekday. Perhaps because it was a weekday, there were still various types of bread available even in the afternoon. The deli items were a bit pricey with burgers, croque-monsieurs, and sandwiches, but the rest were in the 100-200 yen range, which is affordable. Since there were no customers, I was able to take my time choosing and even take some photos. There are many bakeries around Kawaramachi Marutamachi, so I always struggle to decide where to stop by each time.

It was delicious. There was no Emmental cheese bread. I forgot to buy canelé and hurriedly left the store. I ate it while waiting for the train and it tasted like the flour was fresh. It was delicious and I want to take my time choosing bread next time. Thank you for the meal.

Recently opened hinami bakery in the competitive area of Kawaramachi Marutamachi around lunchtime. The shop has a glass exterior where you can see lots of bread from outside. Inside, the staff are energetic and welcoming, which is nice. I ordered a canelé for 250 yen, a croque-monsieur, and a rum raisin pastry for around 1000 yen total. The croque-monsieur looked delicious from outside, so I had to try it even though it wasn't displayed inside. Ordering was a bit tricky, but funny. The canelé had a slightly burnt taste, but it was delicious. The croque-monsieur was like a pizza toast with ham and cheese inside. The bread was tasty. The rum raisin pastry had a chewy exterior and the raisins were not too overpowering. Everything was delicious.

I bought the Chili Dog and Bacon Bread Milk Donut at Inka no Mezame! The Chili Dog had sauerkraut in it, which made it refreshing and delicious, but the chili sausage flavor was strong and the rye bread taste was hard to distinguish. I would like to try a hot dog or something different next time. The Inka no Mezame and Bacon Bread had a chewy texture and were very delicious, with great ingredients. It's a flavor I would like to have again! I do not recommend the soy milk donut! It absorbed a lot of oil and was not tasty. The prices are reasonable, so I would like to try other breads as well! Lastly, the staff's greetings and service were wonderful, making it a place I would like to visit again!

There are many bakeries in Kyoto, and most of them are delicious. Therefore, the comparison will be based on price and the atmosphere of the shop. This place has a nice atmosphere. The staff members greet you and thank you from the back where they are making the bread. It's these little things that make you want to come back again. Of course, the bread was delicious too.

A small, cute shop that catches your eye with its showcase of sandwich breads. Right as you enter, you can see the workshop where the freshly baked bread is displayed by the friendly owner. Their unique à la carte menu features four types of bread, including Pandomee. I was impressed by the variety. I was drawn to the deli section but ended up buying the Rich Shokupan and Kyoto Temari Kinako. The plain deep-fried bread with kinako and granulated sugar on top was simple yet deliciously chewy. I'll definitely try their sandwich breads next time.

This is a bakery located in Marutamachi Kawaramachi. It is located next to the tea shop Misslim. It is a storefront along Kawaramachi Street. I passed by this bakery when I had some errands nearby and decided to take home a few items. Please note that you can only see the sandwich lineup from outside. The shop is small, with room for about 4 customers. The lineup includes classic local bakery items as well as authentic bread from a bakery.
- Potato France (¥270): A French bread filled with steamed potatoes and bacon. The potatoes are already seasoned and have a pot roast-like texture, which was a pleasant surprise.
- Porcini France (¥380): French bread filled with roasted onions, chicken, and porcini cream. It is a substantial sandwich with perfectly cooked onions and delicious flavors. I would definitely stop by again when I'm in the area.

Recently opened shop maybe? It has a casual yet stylish atmosphere, with a small and cozy feel. Inside, there were 2 or 3 young staff members. The bread selection consists of typical bread with some added twists, and there seemed to be a variety of scones as well.
- Truffle Salt Bread: It looks like a large roll bread that is more fluffy than typical salt bread. Surprisingly, it has a bit of salt and black truffle on top! When you taste it, it's quite chewy with a texture between a bagel and a roll bread. There is also a hint of black truffle kneaded into the dough. While salt bread usually brings to mind a buttery salt bread, this one has a small amount of butter wrapped in it, giving it a different feel.
- French Toast (Orange): This bread also has a slightly chewy texture. The egg mixture has a hint of orange and maybe vanilla flavor. The flavor is not soaked through the whole bread, but rather forms a film on the surface, so the inside is just regular bread. However, the strong taste and aroma of the egg mixture prevent it from tasting bland. The strong orange scent might become a bit overwhelming after a while.
After looking at other reviews, it seems like the shop is more recommended for savory bread. I'll try going back next time to buy sandwiches or bread with lots of toppings.

During a visit around 12 o'clock on a regular day, there was no wait and the purchase process was smooth. There was a wide variety of breads available, and this time, I found the menu to be rich in options. The Pain de Mie, priced at ¥756 for one loaf, was a good deal for getting three loaves. However, I felt that the texture and sweetness were a bit lacking. But if you're planning to make some adjustments or additions, the cost performance is not bad.

Date and time of visit: Sunday around 4 pm
Approximate spending: around 450 yen
I had visited this place before and purchased a few different types of bread. However, I found the bread itself not very delicious, but the quality of the fillings inside was impressive. So, I decided to visit again. Despite facing a main street and visiting on a Sunday around 4 pm, there were still plenty of bread options available. This time, I bought the American Club Burger. The fillings inside were chunky, which raised my expectations. However, when I took a bite, I didn't feel a cohesive blend of ingredients. Upon opening it up, I found thick bacon and even chicken cutlet inside. The chicken cutlet was covered in a thick batter, making it soggy. It felt heavy on the stomach, so I took it out and removed the batter. The bacon didn't have the crispy texture I expected, resembling more like spam. It had a strong salty taste, so I removed it from the burger. Overall, once again, my expectations were slightly disappointed. Thank you for the meal.

Cute bakery, not too big but with a lot of small-sized bread at reasonable prices. I bought an ambutter and soy milk donut. The butter was juicy and delicious. The donut was really tasty, and only 100 yen, which I thought was cheap. It's the kind of bakery you'd want to stop by during a walk. They put the bread in a paper bag for me, making me feel like a Parisian. This is why Kyoto is so stylish. I might buy some coffee and enjoy it by the Kamogawa River. To put it mildly, it's the best.

I purchased a bread with sweet potato and milk chocolate in it. After having a meal at Ryugetsuan, I felt a bit hungry and tried to go to another store, but it was closed. Then I noticed this store while getting on the bus and decided to buy something. It was my first time trying this combination of ingredients. The filling was decent, but unfortunately, the bread dough itself was quite inferior as the title suggests, so I couldn't give it a high score. I am rating it based on my previous experiences. If I were to make something of the same level myself, I would not be satisfied and wouldn't offer it to others. One small detail I noticed was that the dough spread too much where the cuts were made, which may not be ideal. One positive aspect was the way they evenly and thinly sprinkled the strong flour using a tea strainer, which was very skillful. The atmosphere was lively and pleasant. It seems like the store hasn't been open for long, so I hope they continue to work hard. It was quite busy, probably because it was lunchtime. Thank you for the meal.

It is Friday, May 6, 2022. I visited the restaurant in the middle of Golden Week, around 11 o'clock. It was not crowded, probably because it was a weekday. I purchased piroshki, chapata, calzone, and a fruit sandwich. I didn't eat the fruit sandwich as it was for my wife, but out of what I tried, I think the chapata was the most original. The pine nuts weren't very prominent on the chapata, but it was still good. It was grilled and delicious.

Yeah. The restaurant didn't have a high rating on Tabelog, but the food was really good. It's located next to Hyakumeiten, which always has long lines, so we couldn't get in there. This place is mainly for takeout. The truffle flavor was very subtle and you wouldn't notice it if you didn't know. But the bread was delicious, so it didn't really matter. The red bean butter was reliably tasty. The bread was quite hard, so sharing and eating it was a bit challenging.

- Orange French Toast: French toast with a strong orange flavor. It was dense and filling, and very delicious.
- Dried Fruit Scone: Scone with dried fruits and sugar pearls. It had a nice aroma and was delicious. A popular bakery in Marutamachi.

I visited this place after noticing it while riding the city bus. I tried the "Matsusaka pork cutlet sandwich" for 432 yen. It wasn't too big, but it satisfied my craving for a cutlet sandwich. It was delicious. I also had the "French toast," which was soft but had a crispy crust. The bakery had a cozy atmosphere. Thank you for the meal.

In the evening, there were not many items displayed due to the late hour, but I purchased three items: "Ham and Egg," "Ciabatta," and "Pizza." The "Ham and Egg" was fairly tasty. The "Pizza" was a bit lacking in flavor. Since the options were limited this time, it's hard to say. Overall, it was just okay in my opinion.
