When playing golf, you tend to get hungry. When you look at the menu in that state, you see dishes like tonkatsu, hirakatsu, and yakiniku. So, I chose hirakatsu! It was a bit dry in texture, but I was hungry so it tasted good.

Toshoen Golf Country is one of my favorite courses in the Kansai region with easy access. The food is also highly rated, so I decided to order the chicken curry today. The slightly sweet curry and tenderly cooked chicken make a great combination to enjoy for lunch.

Castle City, located in the southern part of Kyoto Prefecture. Next to the Castle Country Club, where the Panasonic Open will be held in September this year, is a golf course. The weather was not scorching hot, with a slight breeze, making it easy to play a round of golf. After finishing the first half with a decent score, it was time for lunch. I had planned to order the "Tender Pork Cutlet Meal," but it was not on the menu! The specialty was listed as "Curry Udon Meal," but it was too hot for curry, so I opted for the "Tempura Soba Set." The soba noodles were served in two tiers, and they were probably dried noodles. Not bad. The dipping sauce was rich but slightly sweet. The tempura was crispy and well-fried. It came with matcha salt for dipping. The side dish was a simmered mountain vegetable. The mini egg bowl (Tamago-don) was too sweet for my liking. Perhaps I didn't notice the saltiness much because I was sweating. I realized halfway through eating that I had forgotten to take a photo. Maybe I was too shocked by the absence of the pork cutlet? I'll refrain from posting on my timeline. Overall, it was delicious.

Occasionally, there was a light drizzle, but the wind wasn't strong, so we were able to play comfortably. For lunch, there were many choices, but I decided on the stone pot bibimbap. The dish arrived sizzling in a stone bowl, and I cracked a raw egg and mixed it all together. It had plenty of meat and was quite filling and delicious. Now, let's do our best in the afternoon as well.

Today's round was on a tricky course that is somewhat famous. The sky looked like it might rain, bringing my mood down a bit. But surprisingly, it was just cloudy with high humidity. Better than rain. The front nine went really well, with a best score. And then came the highlight of the day - lunch. The lunch here is delicious. I ordered the "chilled sudachi udon set" - refreshing cold udon with a crispy tempura shrimp bowl. It was so tasty. When lunch is good, so is my score. It was a fun day today. Looking forward to the next round.

Today, I opted for something light due to my recent diet.

The shrimp fry and oyster fry at this Western-style restaurant were crispy and juicy, with a deliciously light tartar sauce that perfectly complemented the flavors.

It's been a while since I played golf with a lunch break. I had some plum grated soba noodles.

The food was okay.

Second golf in a year (￣∇￣) Attended a golf competition at Higashi-Toyo Golf Club with colleagues. I'm not good at golf and haven't practiced, so I'm only looking forward to lunch ( ´∀｀) Checked the menu before going without practicing. I chose the Soft Pork Cutlet Set for 1500 yen. It came with rice, miso soup, and salad ( ´∀｀) The pork cutlet was tender and delicious. After playing, I enjoyed a whole fruit ice mix (probably mango and strawberry) that was advertised on the monitor towards the end.

It has been about 4 years since I last visited this restaurant. I am thinking of going again this month, so I checked the photos from my previous visit. I remember having a delicious chicken teriyaki dish, but it seems like it is no longer on the current menu. If it's not available, that's okay. This time, if I am able to visit, I am considering trying the tender pork cutlet set instead. ^^

I went to Higashichoyo near my home. The water here is drawn from a well 200m underground, and when I tried it, it tasted really good. Well, cold water is delicious anywhere in the summer, but... The clubhouse is a bit old-fashioned, but you can feel that it is being gradually renovated. As it was hot, I ordered the recommended summer cool breeze set meal (1500 yen). It included chilled conger eel udon, tempura, chilled tofu, eel and cucumber vinegar dish, water shield vinegar dish, rice, and kudzu steamed bun, and everything was delicious and refreshing. Light dishes are good for summer, right?
