About a 10-minute walk from Harajuku Station, there is a door with stairs on a dimly lit night street. The smell of curry confirms the location. Despite being open for only 15 minutes, the sign already indicated that the pork was sold out. Upon entering, I was directed to a counter seat, and the restaurant was almost full. The dividers at the counter were made from record jackets, adding a stylish touch. The menu was on the blackboard above, and I decided on the chicken spinach curry for 1100 yen with an additional topping of half-cooked egg for 100 yen. The dish was made with care, and I waited for about 20 minutes. Although it looked like spinach puree, it was actually curry! The yellow turmeric rice was generously portioned and free. It had a nice texture that paired well. The chicken pieces were like grilled chicken skewers, and they complemented the curry sauce well. There were lots of cans of tomatoes in front of me. Overall, I feel it's good value for money. By 6:40pm, 40 minutes after opening at 6pm, there were only 4 people in the restaurant, so there might be some good hidden-gem times to visit.

I went to a curry restaurant in Sangenjaya for lunch while in Harajuku for errands. It was just past 12 o'clock but the place wasn't full yet, so I was able to sit down right away. I ordered the spinach chicken curry. What came out was a thick, bright green curry with chicken sleeping in the back. It wasn't soupy curry and wasn't spicy, but it was delicious. The chicken was of such high quality that it could be served as a dish from a fried chicken restaurant. Mixing the half-cooked egg topping with the curry was also very tasty. It was a small but wonderful curry shop with originality. I would definitely like to visit again.

I passed by around 1 pm on a weekday and there was no line at all, so I couldn't help but go in. I was surprised because I had never seen a day without a line recently. I ordered the Chicken Spinach Curry for 1200 yen. The rice was large and I could feel the presence with the sound of cooking and the smell of spices at the counter, which I liked. The taste itself seemed to have improved from before, as the creamy and rich spinach curry, along with the fragrant chicken and saffron rice, all blended together smoothly and flowed into my stomach. I finished it in no time, feeling drawn back by the taste. I'll come back when there's less of a line. Thank you for the meal. By the way, there are many high-quality curries around this area.

I lined up at 11:40 on a weekday and it took about 30 minutes to sit down, then another 30 minutes to get my food, totaling about 1 hour. Since the food is prepared by just one man, it's understandable. People with back pain should definitely put on two moist plasters. The taste is quite delicious considering the reasonable price.

I wanted to eat some delicious curry from the morning, so I decided to go to Sendagaya. I couldn't decide between YOGORO or HENDRIX, but since I hadn't been to YOGORO yet, I chose that. The nearest station is around Kokuritsu-kyogijo Mae or halfway between Sendagaya and Harajuku on the JR line. They opened at 11:30 am, and I arrived at 40 minutes and there were already 5 people waiting outside, and the pork curry was already sold out. I waited for about 20 minutes, and then I was guided to a seat at the counter. I ordered the chicken with spinach curry with a soft-boiled egg topping and extra rice. It took almost 20 minutes until it was served. First, I had a salad with thousand dressing, then turmeric rice, and finally, the arrival of the green curry with a lot of grilled chicken on top of spinach paste in an iron pot. First, I took a bite of the curry, the sauce was creamy and mellow with a rich sweetness and flavor spreading in my mouth. Gradually, the spices started to work, and I felt like this curry was not from India, Pakistan, or Europe, but a special Japanese curry. Then, I took a bite of the crispy grilled chicken, which was crispy on the outside and juicy with a garlic aroma inside. It was amazing! I ate it silently, pouring it over the rice. The soft-boiled egg also added a nice touch, making the spicy heat of the curry more mild. It was a curry that moved me after a long time! Thank you for the meal! ^_^

Visited YOGOROU, a curry restaurant in Sendagaya. Ordered Chicken Saag Curry with a half-boiled egg on top. The curry was served separately from the turmeric rice, which I liked. The chicken in the curry was juicy and flavorful, and adding the half-boiled egg made it even more delicious. The atmosphere of the restaurant, although a bit dark, was unique and cozy. It gets crowded quickly, so it's best to arrive early. Overall, the food was delicious and I look forward to coming back again to try the Pork Curry.

Today's lunch was at "Yogorou" in Urahara Harajuku. I had the chicken (spinach) curry with a half-cooked egg on top. I was aiming for the pork (spinach) curry limited to 5 servings per day, but when I arrived 30 minutes after opening, it was sold out. The curry was delicious with crispy and flavorful chicken. It was served in a hot iron pot, so it stayed hot until the end. I almost burned my mouth because I couldn't wait to eat it while it was still piping hot. Next time, I'll line up before opening to get the pork curry and have my revenge. #Yogorou spinach curry #Yogorou curry #Yogorou #Gourmet around Gaienmae #Gourmet around Kitasando

Arrived 20 minutes before opening on Saturday and already 15 people were waiting in line, couldn't get in on the first round. I underestimated its popularity! I noticed on Instagram that many people were eating spinach curry, but surprisingly, I found the tomato curry to be more delicious for me!

Visited the restaurant at 11 am on Saturday. I lined up 30 minutes before opening and managed to get the last Pork Curry (a popular menu item that sells out quickly). I barely made it for the first round of seating. I ordered the Pork Curry with spinach, extra rice, and cheese topping for 1600 yen. They served a salad first, and after about 25 minutes, I finally met the amazing Pork Curry. When I took the first bite, I was surprised by how green it was, without any bitterness from the spinach, just pure deliciousness. I could also taste the spicy flavor which was unexpected. Both the daikon radish and simmered pork were incredibly tender, practically melting with a spoon. The balance between rice and curry was perfect, and overall it was a satisfying dish. For those looking for delicious curry in Tokyo, I highly recommend this place!

In the midst of the heat, I waited in line for about an hour to get inside. The seating capacity was not that large, so I wondered how they would arrange seats for solo customers, pairs, or odd-numbered groups. It turned out that if a single seat was available and the next person in line was a pair, they would not seat them until a seat for two was open. So, they would only seat the two people in line together. I was seated at a large table in a shared seating arrangement with a partition in front of me. I ordered the Chicken Spinach Curry with Cheese topping. The flavor was good with a hint of spinach paste, but it was a bit strong and got a bit boring towards the end. The chicken was slightly tough. I lined up for this popular restaurant out of curiosity, but to be honest, it wasn't worth waiting for an hour. If it was nearby, I might consider going occasionally. Overall, thanks for the meal!

Chicken spinach curry ¥1200, soft-boiled egg ¥100 - I was very satisfied with the delicious curry. The location was a bit inconvenient, as it was far away and hot and humid. When I went for the pork, they told me it was limited and sold out by morning, which put me in a bad mood to start the meal. However, on the way back, I felt so happy that I was practically skipping. The curry was excellent, with a thick, flavorful sauce and crispy yet tender chicken. The free extra serving of rice was a nice touch. The chicken, rice, and sauce all blended together perfectly. The chicken pieces were large, so I left feeling very full. Given the level of satisfaction I had for this price, it was a great deal. I want to try the other items on the menu as well. Apparently, the pork sells out quickly because the preparation involves a smaller quantity. Honestly, I felt lucky that the pork was sold out and I ended up with this delicious chicken curry instead. The owner mentioned that even he prefers chicken over pork. I rated it 4.8 for taste because the water wasn't good, but in terms of value, the price for this dish was very satisfying. However, it is on the edge of being a bit too expensive for curry, so I think this chicken curry is one of the cheaper options among curry specialty shops.

Visited around 12:10 pm on Friday. There were 4 people waiting and I was the 5th in line. It was not too crowded, possibly due to the Bon holiday. Waited for about 10 minutes before being seated. As it was my first visit, I ordered the chicken spinach curry which was highly recommended in reviews. Unfortunately, pork was sold out. The kitchen was visible from the counter, where the master was skillfully cooking the curry in a tight space. The food took a while to be served after being seated. The curry arrived in a hot iron plate, looking very impressive with green curry, chunks of chicken, plenty of cheese, and a whole egg on top. The chicken was delicious! Well-seasoned with a crispy texture and juicy flavor. I wanted to order just the chicken as a meal! The curry was smooth and mild, flavored with the sweetness of spinach. Breaking the egg into the curry added a silky texture and enhanced the taste. I would like to try the tomato curry next time, and eventually the pork as well!

Yogorou, a famous curry restaurant near the National Stadium and Meiji Jingu Stadium. Choose between tomato and spinach curry. This time, I tried the chicken curry with tomato. The chicken was surprisingly flavorful and the curry had a rich umami taste with deep and satisfying spices. Next time, I will challenge the spinach curry.

A stylish and delicious curry in a street-style setting! There were couples and solo diners enjoying their meals. There was a line when I passed by earlier, but arriving a bit early in the evening helped me get seated smoothly. The restaurant lived up to its high ratings on Tabelog, it was really delicious and highly recommended!

Must-try for foodies! Popular curry restaurant in Jingumae! Visited Yogorou in Jingumae. Listed in the Curry Top 100 on Tabelog. Had visited once before but it was sold out. Recommend visiting with plenty of time. Visited at 18:10 on a weekday. Opens at 18:00, but almost full. Menu lets you choose between tomato-based or spinach-based curry, with free extra rice. Ordered Cheese & Egg and Tomato Chicken with Spinach Curry, both in normal size. Asked if I wanted both as normal size, opted for one to be upgraded to extra. Cheese & Egg had plenty of cheese, rich and delicious. Tomato Chicken had large chunks of chicken, which was nice. Both curries were delicious with a mild spice level. Enjoyed every bite!

While shopping for clothes in Harajuku, I suddenly felt like eating curry. I decided to go to Yoyogi as well. After walking a bit, I found out there was a popular curry place nearby. This area has many delicious curry restaurants. I was prepared to visit a few different places if needed. It was a little after 1 pm on a Saturday. Although it was peak lunch time, there were only about 10 people in line. After getting used to lining up for ramen, this didn't seem too bad. Naturally, I decided to wait in line. After about 30 minutes, I finally got inside. I ordered Tomato Chicken Curry for 1200 yen, with an extra topping of cheese for 100 yen and a half-boiled egg for another 100 yen. I also treated myself to a beer for 600 yen. It was a luxurious meal for a Saturday afternoon. The spiciness was just right for me, not too strong. The spicy aroma of the curry sauce matched well with the saffron rice. The rice grains weren't too long, possibly Japanese rice. I enjoyed my meal with a refreshing beer. It was an overwhelming experience. Next time, I want to try the Pork and Spinach curry, but I heard it sells out quickly. It's a place where you need to line up before they open. Thank you for the delicious meal.

This is a popular curry restaurant among the top 100 in 2022. I arrived late so they were sold out of pork curry, but the line wasn't too long so I didn't have to wait long to get in. I ordered the Chicken Tomato curry for 1,200 yen with extra rice for free. It came with a side salad and turmeric rice. The curry was served piping hot with big chunks of chicken, and had a rich flavor with added depth from the tomatoes. They only accept cash payment. It's understandable why there's always a queue for this curry restaurant.

I arrived around 2:30 on a regular day and had to wait about 5 minutes because it was full. The pork curry was already sold out, so I ordered the chicken spinach for 1200 yen with a set drink (cola) for 200 yen. The chicken was crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and delicious with the spinach and complex spices, with little spiciness but lots of umami. It was an outstanding dish, and I would like to come back to try the tomato-based one. Thank you for the meal.

No reservation, wait without reservation 30 minutes, 1 person visited, 30 minutes stay, price 1300 yen per person
This curry restaurant, which has a line before opening, offers good turnover even on holidays. I went before opening on a holiday night and it seemed like I could enter without waiting too long, even if it wasn't the first turn. The pork was sold out at noon, so I had chicken with spinach and cheese toppings instead. It's a delicious curry that is well-received by everyone. Chicken (spinach) cheese

I arrived 10 minutes before the popular restaurant opened, but couldn't get in on the first round. However, people don't stay long, and they take orders while you're waiting in line, so it's relatively smooth. The most popular pork curry sells out quickly, with only about 5 servings available. But the chicken spinach curry I ordered with cheese topping was delicious! It seemed to use about two bunches of spinach, making it rich and flavorful. The tomato flavor is said to be spicy, so I want to try that next time. They only accept cash for payment.
