This was my first time visiting, and all the dishes were delicious! The staff's hospitality was also wonderful. We started at the counter seats, but when a table opened up, they promptly seated us there. And when another table became available, they pushed them together to give us more space. It was a very pleasant experience enjoying a delicious meal in such a welcoming atmosphere!

A cozy izakaya in Sangenjaya known for delicious fish dishes. The atmosphere is great. They serve seasonal dishes like steamed red clam, abalone, young corn, and tempura with fresh bamboo shoots. The appetizers are top-notch and can be enjoyed with a drink. The standout item is their sours, made with fresh fruits and vegetables like tomatoes. Delicious!

I came to this local restaurant near my parents' house after a long time. I remembered it being delicious when I came here before, so I came with a light heart. When I tried the food, it was undeniably delicious! Just as I remembered! The shishamo and crab cream croquette were made with top-notch ingredients. It may be a bit pricey, but it was so tasty! I definitely want to come back again. Ossu ossu!

If you want to eat fish dishes in Sangenjaya, be sure to visit this place. Everything you eat is delicious. This time, we had fresh oysters, clams, bonito sashimi, and horse mackerel, with beer and 2 servings of sake. It cost 15,000 yen for two people. They are open until midnight with the last order at 11 pm on weekdays, which is convenient. The capacity of the restaurant is about 6 seats at the counter and a little over 10 seats at the tables, making it a cozy place. It is recommended to make a reservation for earlier times.

In Sangenjaya, we had a daytime drink at an old-fashioned izakaya that looked a bit intimidating from the outside, but inside it was clean and had a calm atmosphere with a wide variety of menu options that would be suitable for young people as well. We enjoyed dishes like young sweetfish and mountain vegetable tempura, grilled duck, and flounder, which went well with our drinks. The staff were friendly and made our drinking experience enjoyable.

This is a traditional Japanese restaurant in Sangenjaya. I visited for lunch after a long time, and I was surprised to see that the tatami seating had been changed to chair seating. The lunch was a bit expensive at 2200 yen, but I was satisfied with the quality of the sashimi and pork dishes. The side dishes were also of high quality and overall, it was a satisfying experience.

We ordered the sashimi set meal and tempura set meal to share, both were incredibly delicious! Each cost around 2000 yen, but at night the prices can go up to 5,000-6,000 yen at this popular restaurant. I recommend going during a relatively quiet lunchtime to enjoy a leisurely meal.

This is my 7th visit. The portion size of each dish is large, so if there are two people, you can't try many dishes. The sashimi platter is a good deal with its volume, but if it's not your favorite type of fish, it can be a bit disappointing. This time was a bit of a letdown. The food used to be tastier before. The staff isn't very friendly, but they offer a great variety of fish and generous portions. It's always crowded. However, I wish the atmosphere was a bit more comfortable. It might just be my age.

This might be my favorite restaurant in Sangenjaya. The cozy and homely atmosphere made me a bit nervous when I first visited, as everyone seemed young and trendy. But now, I love that vibe and often go alone. The dishes are all delicious, and I always leave satisfied.

[Customer Service] Good [Food] Appetizer -> Whitefish soup with grated whitefish, onions, and asparagus. A gentle taste of spring. Whale bacon -> Both lean and fatty parts are sweet and melt-in-your-mouth. Assorted sashimi -> Yellowtail, sea bream, and local octopus. The fatty yellowtail is delicious. Grilled squid with eggs -> The delicious smell of squid from the moment it is brought to the table. Refreshing with ginger soy sauce. Platinum pork stir-fried with blue cheese -> The scent of blue cheese fills the restaurant even during cooking, which is unusual for a Japanese restaurant. The sweetness of the fatty pork and the compatibility with blue cheese are very satisfying. Vegetables like baby cabbage and eringi are also delicious. Uni roll -> The uni melts softly at the temperature of the rice. A simple yet luxurious roll that is, of course, delicious. [Atmosphere] A cozy and rustic restaurant. The seats are quite close to each other. [Cost Performance] Not cheap [Overall Evaluation] The restaurant gets crowded, making it a bit difficult for the waitstaff to move around. It's nice to look over the attractive menu in the crowded yet charming interior. You'll want to try this and that. The uni roll and blue cheese stir-fry are particularly favorite dishes.

I visited this restaurant for the first time on a regular night. I made a phone reservation a few days ago before visiting. The location is about a 5-6 minute walk from Sangenjaya Station on the Tokyu Denentoshi Line and Setagaya Line. It's a bit of a distance. There are many small shops in this area, so it might be a good idea to check in advance. Upon entering, the restaurant has a cozy atmosphere like a small Japanese-style eatery. There are 6 seats at the counter and some table seats. The distance between seats is quite narrow, so it's not ideal for private conversations. We sat at a table. Coats and other items can be hung on the wall hooks, and the seats by the wall have storage space for belongings. The menu is quite extensive, with two handwritten menus, a booklet, and items posted on the wall. We ordered the following: - Assorted sashimi (5 types) - Tsubugai sashimi (3,500 yen) - Tempura shiitake mushrooms (900 yen) - Grilled beef tongue (1,300 yen) The 5-piece sashimi assortment is usually 4,000 yen, but the price may vary depending on the selection. We included "kawahagi sashimi," so it may have been slightly more expensive. The sashimi assortment included spear squid, medium fatty tuna, kawahagi, and aoyagi, all of which were delicious. The spear squid was tender with a rich flavor, and the kawahagi had a sweet taste. The tuna was also very tasty. The tsubugai was crunchy and thick, and squeezing some sudachi lime over it enhanced the flavor. Despite the slightly higher pricing, it's definitely worth trying. The shiitake mushrooms were also delicious. They were large with a rich flavor packed inside. As a fan of shiitake mushrooms, this was one of the most delicious I've had in recent years. Lastly, the grilled beef tongue arrived after a short wait. There were only 5 pieces, but each one was a decent size. Sprinkling some salt and squeezing a bit of lemon on them, the beef tongue was incredibly tender with a concentrated umami flavor. It's rare to find beef tongue of such high quality. With a bit of alcohol, the total came to just under 15,000 yen. Considering the quality of the fish and meat, it was not expensive at all. Honestly, I did not expect everything to be of such high quality. I definitely want to visit again. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

I went to a popular Japanese restaurant in Sangenjaya with two friends. We were told on the phone to come at a specific time because it was busy, so we arrived right on time. We had to wait outside for a bit because the previous customers hadn't left yet, but that's to be expected at a popular restaurant. Once we were seated, we started with a toast with beer. The appetizer was duck liver cooked with sansho pepper, which was delicious and went well with the drinks. We ordered a few sashimi dishes, fried oysters, and yellowtail shabu-shabu. The fish was really tasty and the yellowtail had no fishy smell. The fried oysters were just okay, not very crispy and the tartar sauce was nothing special. Overall, the raw fish dishes were the highlight. I will definitely make a reservation and come back again!

I was curious about this place but felt intimidated to go in. Finally, I visited and the food was amazing. The sake selection was great. Although I didn't drink that day, I was intrigued by the shochu and sour options. The atmosphere was calm and cozy. I had the recommended Japanese sea bonito as the main dish, and it was unlike any bonito I've had before - incredibly delicious! It was my first time trying it, but I will definitely order it again if I see it on the menu next time. The sesame-dressed chrysanthemum greens and butterbur were also delicious. Especially the butterbur, it was the best I've ever had. The salted fish roe served as an appetizer already made me want to come back, and I finished with the rolled sushi with beef tendon, which I asked for less rice. Although the prices per dish may seem high, considering the taste and portion, it's worth it. The dishes are well portioned, so it might be fun to go with 2-3 people. There's also an atmosphere that's perfect for enjoying alone, so it's a dilemma. I'm happy to have found the perfect place for a solo year-end party. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

I ended up spending close to 10,000 yen because I drank a lot of sake. The grilled crab miso, fresh oysters, water eggplant, sashimi platter, grilled tofu, and grilled shiitake mushrooms were all delicious. I think if I drink less next time, it won't be as expensive. I want to go back again.

The seafood menu here is amazing with a wide variety of options. It's impressive for a single person to handle such a large menu. The drinks selection is sure to please drinkers. The restaurant is small but you can feel the sophistication of the chef. The homemade tofu made by the mother is exceptional! The hot pot in winter is also outstanding! This renowned restaurant continues to evolve into an even better one.

In Sangenjaya, there are two stores with the same name "Uchida". If you plan to meet up at one of these stores, be careful. The one I mentioned this time is "Uchida", located one street back from Sasazawa Street. Today, I had buri shabu-shabu as the main dish and kept drinking Japanese sake. They have a good selection of sake like Karaho, Juyondai, Imanishi, and Shunka. While it may not be as impressive as Akki from Sangenjaya, the food is quite delicious. I think it's a great restaurant representing the drinking scene in Sangenjaya.

This is the place in Sangenjaya that has won the Michelin Bib Gourmand award for four consecutive years since 2016! They have a wide variety of sake. The outdoor seating area is also recommended!

The cooking is done with care. There is attention to detail in the techniques. The restaurant is quite small, and the raised seating area is cramped, making it a bit uncomfortable with a sore back.
