I went to a restaurant in Tsukishima, Tokyo with a friend. It is a direct store of Toyosu Market's seafood wholesale, established in Meiji 4 (1871) with a history of 151 years. We ordered a lot of seafood dishes and everything was delicious. The dishes we had included raw kimchi, grilled butter oysters, sautéed cod milt, seafood monjayaki, mochi monjayaki with mentaiko, cheese topping, and seared mentaiko. The restaurant was fully booked at 7 PM, so reservations are definitely necessary. The staff were friendly and the service was excellent. This is my favorite monjayaki restaurant in Tsukishima. I look forward to visiting again.

I went with a friend and an American friend to the restaurant. We made a reservation smoothly over the phone a month in advance since it was a weekday. (If you are 15 minutes late from the reservation time, it will be canceled) My American friend was visiting Japan for the first time and on the third day of his visit, he enjoyed the Japanese atmosphere in the restaurant and took videos. We ordered the signature dishes, Mentaiko Cheese Monja, seasonal Mushroom Monja, and Grilled Squid. The staff cooked them for us, so even though we were not familiar with it, we could enjoy them with peace of mind. The flavors were delicious with a rich broth. It was a pity that the draft beer was Premium Malts, but it was served in a regular glass without the Premium Malts logo.

After the live show, I walked from Ariake feeling hungry. It was around 9:00 PM, a tricky time, but it was my last night in Tokyo so I was determined to find some monjayaki! I stumbled upon a highly rated restaurant that was still open. They specialized in seafood, so I ordered their recommended squid ink monjayaki, a grilled squid dish that I fell in love with from their photos on Tabelog, and a pork okonomiyaki. Despite being busy, the staff took good care of me, serving each dish at just the right moment. The service was elegant like a teppanyaki restaurant, yet friendly and welcoming. The flavors I was craving were spot on, and I was so glad I chose this place. The squid ink monjayaki was a first for me, and it was incredibly delicious! The combination of rice, cheese, and rich squid ink was reminiscent of paella. It was quite a generous portion, but I finished it all. And the fact that we could eat and drink for less than 5000 yen for two people is amazing. I will definitely be coming back!

"Udon as the main dish" Instagram https://instagram.com/alwaysudon/ Udon as the main dish TikTok https://www.tiktok.com/@alwaysudon The most famous monjayaki restaurant in Japan. Originally, they were running a dried fish shop in Tsukiji, but the current president started monjayaki as a new source of income. They are professionals in sourcing seafood, so they use fresh fish of the day to cook on a hot plate or serve as sashimi. Amazing... I wish they would do it at udon shops too. I was lucky to get a reservation that day, but usually it's a restaurant where reservations are hard to come by. There are about 10 stores nearby, so you might be able to get in somewhere. (They have about 100 stores worldwide, which is amazing.) As soon as we sat down, we had a highball and grilled squid for 1280 yen. The freshness of the squid was amazing, with the butter adding extra flavor. The grilled chicken thigh was also delicious. The monjayaki we ordered was the "mentaiko mochi monjayaki." The staff made it for us. The saltiness of the mentaiko, the dashi, and the stickiness of the mochi. It was so tasty to eat little by little. I thought, "This won't fill me up," but before I knew it, I was full. It was so delicious that I tried to make a reservation for next week, but they were fully booked. I finally managed to make a reservation by searching for nearby group exhibitions. The popularity of monjayaki is undeniable. Official blog: https://alwaysudon.com/

It was my first visit with a reservation on Sunday at 2:00 pm! The famous Monja restaurant in Tsukishima was delicious! I ordered the mentaiko mochi monja, but it had cream in it. I enjoyed it, but my husband, who doesn't like dairy products, couldn't eat it. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was nice!

This place is always delicious no matter what you order, and the staff are very kind, so it's a repeat visit for me. The monja with mentaiko is a reliable choice. Also, having things like celery and squid grilled on the iron plate is satisfying. Even though it was our second stop, we were treated to dessert as well, haha. I will definitely go again!

I always admired the Monja in Tsukishima, but I had only eaten it in the local Dotonbori area, so I went to experience the authentic taste!! I had been drinking too much the day before, so I was drinking oolong tea, but the deliciousness made me unintentionally switch to highball with soda. I only intended to have one drink, but the staff probably thought, "How much does this person plan to drink from daytime?" haha. The Mentaiko Monja was recommended, but I topped the Ume-Tako and Buta-Nori Monja with Mochi and egg!! With this, I can drink endlessly!! Please try it out, everyone.

Monejya Street has several branches of Moeji-san. I jumped in for a last order 5 minutes before closing. I tried to order two monjayakis like okonomiyaki, but they said it would be tough to finish them unless I ate quickly, so I settled for one and ordered yakisoba and cucumber as sides. The waitress cooked the monja for me, and when I saw the size, I realized two would be too much (^^;; The taste was reliably delicious. The yakisoba was incredibly tasty. What's more, even though all the staff were young, they were friendly and engaging, making it a very pleasant place to eat. They're opening in Umeda's Lucua next, so I'll visit there next time ♫

When it comes to Tsukishima, you think of Monja. I found out that reservations are available at the main store, so I went to this restaurant. It's always full, so making a reservation was the right choice. The most popular dish is the Mentaiko Mochi Monja. The flavor of the mentaiko was strong and very delicious. The Buta-Tama Okonomiyaki had a pretty strong sauce. My child can't eat mentaiko, so they were able to make a Monja with their favorite toppings, which made them very happy. Many other restaurants don't take reservations, so I recommend this place where you can relax without waiting in line.

I wanted to eat monjayaki, so I made a reservation with Moheji-san. When I called to make a reservation, they warned me to be careful because there is a similar named restaurant nearby, but I ended up making a mistake. This time, the two of us ordered the following four dishes: grilled whole squid, clam ajillo, seafood monjayaki, and mentaiko rice cake monjayaki. Each dish went well with alcohol, and I ended up having three glasses of draft beer during lunch. Thank you for the delicious meal✨I would love to visit again.

First visit. I was able to enter without waiting. I ordered the Mentaiko Cheese Monja. I thought that all Monja tastes the same at any store, but this restaurant did not disappoint. I got to eat the Mentaiko Cheese I was looking for. I'm not looking for anything special, so yeah, this is good. I enjoyed it as I ate. I also ordered Tonpei Yaki. It's a style where thick slices of pork are wrapped in egg like an omelette. It's delicious with plenty of tempura crumbs and green onions. Thank you for the meal.

I went on the last day of the 3-day weekend. I waited for about 30 minutes. The interior of the restaurant was clean and the menu was extensive. I had mentaiko and shiso monjayaki with cheese topping. The appearance of the squid ink monjayaki was amazing, but the taste was like risotto and absolutely delicious.

Around 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, I waited in line for about 30 minutes before finally getting in. I was surprised that after 9 p.m., you can go in without waiting in line! I used to prefer okonomiyaki over monjayaki, but I have now switched sides. I have never had such delicious monjayaki before. The staff also impressed me with their quick and accommodating service. It's a great restaurant.

I often go to Tsukishima, but it's always crowded so I ended up going to Mobecchi this time! I went right when they opened at 10:30 and enjoyed it for 2 hours! Had 4 highballs! The staff cooked for us and we chatted while eating! The famous Mentaiko Monja with cheese topping was delicious! It was amazing! At the end, they sprayed Fabreeze which was nice! Keita-kun's customer service was great! I will definitely go again.

When it comes to Tokyo, one of the specialties is monjayaki! I thought kids would enjoy it too, but I ended up waiting for 2 hours without even taking a bite! However, it was delicious! They even put cream in the monjayaki, which was amazing! The yakisoba and seseri yaki were also tasty! They cook the monjayaki right in front of you, so it's great for a date too!***********************************I am sharing my favorite places to eat that I have tried and found delicious, mainly in Shizuoka! I would be happy to connect with other foodies who enjoy similar experiences! @takushinbo#ShizuokaGourmet #ShizuokaFoodie #Shizuoka #Gourmet

The Mentaiko Cheese Monja here has a taste that can't be found anywhere else! Ordering it was the right choice. However, due to a shortage of staff, our order was mistakenly taken to the table next to us (they had also ordered the Mentaiko Cheese Monja, so they didn't notice), and even when we pointed it out, our order took a while to arrive, and in the end, it was mistaken again. Customer service might not be something to expect here. Disappointing.

I tried Monjayaki for the first time on a weekday night in Tsukishima! I ordered a non-sweet lemon sour highball, grilled whole squid, plum and wasabi cucumber, mentaiko mochi monjayaki, and pork and egg. The staff grilled it right in front of us, which was entertaining. I'm not a fan of sweet alcohol, so the non-sweet lemon sour was really delicious. I like my monjayaki slightly burnt, so I enjoyed it more towards the end when it was a bit charred. The pork and egg was fluffy and surprisingly not heavy. Thank you for the meal.

The squid ink monjayaki was very delicious! I recommend topping it with tomatoes, as the sweetness of the tomatoes complemented the dish well. The mentaiko monjayaki with cheese topping was also delicious. The Hakushu and Yamazaki highballs were enjoyable to drink. Even though we had to wait for about 40 minutes in the evening, we would definitely want to come back to this restaurant!

I had my first monjayaki experience with a friend from overseas. We lined up before the store opened. The staff were very helpful, explaining everything and even cooking for us, which made us feel at ease. It was a unique experience that my friend also enjoyed. We ordered the classic mentaiko, cheese, mochi, and the squid ink and cheese. My American friend really liked the garlicky squid ink flavor.

The Mentaiko Mochi Cheese Monja is the best, in my opinion. The staff cooked everything for us, which was much appreciated. The oysters were delicious too! But I think my favorite was the bucket (laughs). It was amazing when we dipped it in the garlic shrimp and grilled it on the hot plate. Day drinking is wonderful!

A highly rated Monjayaki restaurant in Tsukishima. The interior is quite small, making it a bit difficult to have a conversation due to the voices of other customers at nearby tables. The menu is cooked by the staff at your table, so all you have to do is wait for delicious Monjayaki to be served. The most popular dish, Mentaiko Mochi Cheese Monja, had a creamy taste similar to white sauce. The Buta-tama was also delicious.
