The interior of the restaurant was stylish. Despite it being a weekday, there were many customers. The food and drinks were nothing special, but the tsukune (chicken meatballs) were delicious. They had a wide variety of wines in stock, so I would recommend it to wine lovers.

I have visited this restaurant several times, and not only the yakitori, but also other dishes are delicious. Every dish I have tried has been great, so there is no disappointment. The skewers are mainly seasoned with just salt, but the smell of charcoal and the perfect amount of salt make the chicken oil taste delicious. I often order pickles as a side dish, and a few years ago, I was surprised by how delicious the lemon pickles were. I wonder if they still serve them. The restaurant has a calm atmosphere and the staff are friendly. It is one of my favorite restaurants in Kyoto.

My top recommendations are the third item, tsukune, and the fifth item, grilled rice ball! The combination of overflowing egg yolk with the tsukune is irresistible!! And the grilled rice ball at the end was amazing! Each dish paired perfectly with a highball. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was calm, allowing us to have a great time ⭐️ We ate our fill for around 10,000 yen for two people, which was very reasonable.

I was invited by a friend to visit this popular restaurant. When making a reservation, I was told that they might not have sashimi and other raw dishes, but when I visited, they were available for ordering. I couldn't resist ordering them. We ordered a sashimi platter and kept ordering skewers, and the food was so delicious that we kept drinking sake. When we saw the bill, we were a bit surprised. We ate too much because everything was so good. I think it's best to visit with a small group and sit at the counter.

Because there are many types of wine, people who dislike wine may have trouble finding something to drink. There are private rooms available, but the voices carry so it can be noisy if sitting at the counter. The yakitori itself was delicious. It seems they cannot procure fresh ingredients on Wednesdays.

On weekdays, I made a reservation before coming. It may be possible to get in without a reservation if it's not a busy time, but most people seem to make reservations. This is a yakitori restaurant that I might like the most in Japan. This time, there was a slight downside to the drinks, but it's not a big deal. The 'Assorted 5 types of chicken sashimi' for 3,200 yen, along with grilled dishes and tataki. We started with the Japanese habit of having a beer first. I think the owner is a beer sommelier? The chicken sashimi is recommended to be enjoyed with salt. Smoked salt, matcha salt, wasabi salt, ginger salt, and chicken ovary. It goes without saying that the freshness is good. It's delicious with salt. There is a variety of alcohol available, but the lineup has decreased. Previously, there were several types of sake and shochu, but it seems that wine has become the main focus. The interior, the attire of the staff, and the atmosphere are more like a bistro than a yakitori restaurant... What is it? It has a calm Western-style atmosphere. However, the fact that it's not too formal is a strong point. That's why I like it (*^^*) There were some lively people, but I don't usually encounter them when I come here. Yeah, it's a favorite restaurant of mine (*^^*)

I had yakitori in Kyoto for the first time in a while. I ordered: liver, thigh, tail, cheese and duck bacon salad, tail, skin, heart, cartilage and chicken belly meat, and pepper stir-fried twisted local chicken. Everything was delicious, but the liver sashimi was especially melt-in-your-mouth delicious. Thank you for the meal!

I visited a yakitori restaurant near Marutamachi Station in Kyoto after making a reservation with the help of a photographer I was working with in Kyoto. The restaurant had a hidden feel, with a small sign that might make it easy to miss for first-time visitors. They had counter seats and a second floor. The yakitori was grilled right in front of us over charcoal. I decided to try the pickles as the first dish, and it was a hit! While I usually stick to the classics, thanks to my companion, I got to try tomato skewers and white corn for the first time, and they were delicious. Since we were seated at the counter, it was easy to chat with the staff, who taught us about different cuts of chicken. We ended the meal with grilled rice balls, which were also cooked right in front of us, adding to the fun. It was a delicious meal. Thank you. I had oolong tea.

The yakitori was generally delicious, but for a yakitori restaurant, there seemed to be a limited variety of yakitori. There was no tail meat. The price for one yakitori skewer ranged from 200 to 400 yen, so it was not particularly cheap. The yakitori restaurant had wine, so it seemed convenient. The plum and shiso flavored yakitori was made with chicken breast meat, which was a bit dry. The thigh meat was still the most delicious. The thigh meat and chicken wings were reliably tasty. The tsukune had a good portion size. It was convenient to be within walking distance from the hotel.

After enjoying the autumn leaves, I headed to a yakitori restaurant because I can eat my favorite amount there. It seems like there are more yakitori restaurants in the Marutamachi area. It didn't seem like that when I used to live there. It was Saturday night and the restaurant was fully booked with reservations. They politely turned down customers who called on the same day. Here's what I had:
Must-order next time:
- Chicken thigh
- Duck bacon and sunny lettuce Caesar salad
- Chicken heart
- Chicken liver
Okay to order:
- Chicken meatball
Definitely not ordering:
- Chicken wings
- Yakitori rice bowl with garlic butter
The duck bacon and sunny lettuce Caesar salad had more vegetables than I expected, and the duck bacon was delicious. The chicken heart was tender and bouncy, while the chicken liver had a perfect cook with a rich and melt-in-your-mouth texture. The chicken wings were too small to eat with not crispy skin. The yakitori rice bowl didn't go well with the garlic butter, and the taste was a bit blurry. Despite the disappointment with the last two dishes, looking back at the photos, it was a fairly delicious restaurant. Thank you for the meal.

After a year, I finally visited my favorite yakitori restaurant in Kyoto (*⁰▿⁰*) I was so happy to be able to come since I couldn't go for a while... 😭 Whether it's thigh meat, skin, heart, chicken with leeks, minced chicken, or pepper stir-fry, you can't go wrong with any of the choices!! The juicy yakitori goes well with alcohol (*⁰▿⁰*) Please note that on Wednesdays, you can't order raw items due to the sourcing. It's a hidden gem of a place, with a wide selection of alcoholic beverages, making it a great spot for drinkers♪ Thank you for the delicious meal♪♪

"It seems to be a restaurant affiliated with Torito. A stylish and high-class yakitori restaurant p(^_^)q❤️ Located 7 minutes from Keihan Jingu Marutamachi Station and 10 minutes from Marutamachi Subway Station. There are counter seats and table seats. Looks great for a date♡ They pay attention to detail, such as using male and female ingredients for different dishes. The yakitori grilled with white charcoal is delicious, and the vegetables are also tasty٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶♡♡ The egg yolk on the rice for tamago kake gohan is so thick and delicious that you can pick it up with chopsticks without breaking it. You puncture it and squeeze it out. So yummy p(^_^)q♡"

I made a reservation for a course menu, but even after 30 minutes, only soup had been served. Despite claiming to have a 2-hour time limit, all the dishes didn't arrive until over 3 hours into the meal. The staff who organized the reservation looked teary-eyed. We were a group of fewer than 6 people, so I don't think we burdened the restaurant with excessive work. The restaurant wasn't even full, so it felt a bit awkward. Some of the dishes were unique, but the taste was just average. There was no communication from the restaurant, and we felt like we were just being made to wait endlessly. Everyone agreed that they wouldn't be returning for a second visit.
