I visited this restaurant based on a friend's recommendation. When I arrived after 11 o'clock, there was already a wait of about 15 minutes for a table for two. I ordered a combination of fillet cutlet, loin cutlet, and minced cutlet, and they mix the sauce with ground sesame seeds here. The meal also came with miso soup, small side dishes, pickles, and you could get a refill of rice. Thank you for the delicious meal, I really appreciated it.

One way is about 1km on foot. It was quite a distance to walk for lunch, but we were in a hurry. The first time at this restaurant, the establishment had a seasoned look, exuding an atmosphere of being deeply rooted in the community. The price range was all over a thousand yen, and rice refills were free up to one bowl. After ordering, we were given a bowl of sesame seeds to grind and keep on standby. There was tonkatsu sauce on the table, and it seemed to be the style to put the sauce into the sesame bowl and eat. If you asked, they would also provide Worcestershire sauce. The mixed katsu contained one prawn fry, two pieces of chicken cheese katsu, and two pieces of bite-sized fillet katsu, along with cabbage, rice, tonjiru soup, and pickles. During my time in Shin-Osaka, I used to go to a restaurant where you could get two pork cutlets for under a thousand yen, so I couldn't help but feel a bit unsatisfied and overcharged. The taste was quite ordinary, and the thought of walking 2km round trip to go back for lunch again is a bit of a dilemma. If it were closer... Thank you for the meal.

I also checked out the Harisen near the restroom. It seems that the Chambara Trio's late Mr. Yamane visited in 2000. The waitress said, "It looks like the real deal." The restaurant started to get busier with more customers filling up the tables. I could feel the nostalgic atmosphere of this place.

I have a memory of eating katsu here quite a while ago. Today, I wanted to eat curry but ended up coming here. I ordered the "Hirekatsu Curry (with less rice) for 850 yen", and even though the portion was small, there was plenty of shredded cabbage and fukujinzuke, which was nice. The curry itself was at the level of a "family restaurant", not like a curry specialty store, but the hirekatsu was really delicious! It's definitely not at the level of a "family restaurant" hirekatsu. I think you should definitely eat tonkatsu at this place. But to be honest, I don't eat tonkatsu that often. Next time, I definitely want to try the katsuju again.

Today, I had lunch here (#^^#) Heading west on Nishioji Shichijo~ a road I occasionally pass by♪ I tried to avoid the busiest time of day, but there were quite a few customers inside the restaurant... Luckily, I didn't have to wait and got a seat right away☆ While waiting for my order, I got to grind sesame seeds by myself (*^-^)b It was quite fun~(๑˃̵ᴗ˂̵) I'm not a fan of putting sesame seeds in my sauce, but grinding them myself was enjoyable♪ I enjoyed my meal♪ Thank you for the delicious food(^人^)

It's been a while since I visited this restaurant. It was packed during lunchtime! Even though it's not close to the station, it's amazing. Today, I had the mixed cutlet set. It came with shrimp fry, a bite-sized pork cutlet, cheese and shiso leaf roll fry, and tartar sauce. You can have unlimited refills of rice. It also came with cabbage and miso soup. You grind sesame seeds in a mortar and add your own sauce. The freshly fried cutlets were delicious! It filled me up for only 930 yen. It was so tasty! Thank you for the meal. ♡

We went to Katsuyu for lunch on the 22nd with two people. I don't know how many times we've been there, but this is my first post. I ordered the Mixed Katsu Set for 1500 yen (with special jumbo shrimp fry, chicken cheese katsu, and bite-sized pork fillet katsu) as an outside sample. The huge shrimp fry that I had never eaten before appeared. It was packed with meat all the way to the tip, not just covered in batter, and it was amazing. A mortar was brought out, and you could grind sesame to your liking, then pour sauce on it to make a dipping sauce. The batter is very light, so I think it's good for people who tend to get stomachaches. Highly recommended. I also took a photo of my companion's pork cutlet rice bowl. While looking at Google Maps in this area, I happened to come across a restaurant with the same name as my husband. When I told my husband about it, he was eager to visit. We went for lunch on the day of the Gion Matsuri festival, and arrived right when the restaurant opened. It quickly filled up with locals. We ordered the "Mixed Fry Set Meal," which included chicken, cheese cutlet, pork cutlet, shrimp fry, extra cabbage, miso soup, and chilled tofu. You can have extra rice, and the cutlets are served with a special sauce in a mortar. The portions seemed large at first, but we managed to finish everything. The food was delicious, but what really stood out was the friendly atmosphere of the restaurant. We decided that we would definitely visit again when we are in the area. The first half and middle part were delicious. The way the meat was cooked, the crispy and flavorful green onions, the quality and cooking of the cutlet, and the side dishes were all good. Towards the end, it felt a bit heavy, but that's common. It has been two years since I last visited, but it seems to have gotten even more delicious. The Katsudon set costs ¥950. The customer service and atmosphere are also good. There is nothing outstanding, but it's a nice place. It's a 2-3 minute walk from Nishioji Shichijo bus stop.

Hire Kaki Fry Set + Cheese Minced Cutlet ☆One of my favorite restaurants, Katsuyo-san! This time, I ordered the Hire Kaki Fry set with winter limited Kaki Fry. I couldn't resist and also ordered the Cheese Minced Cutlet as a side dish. I waited in the cozy and small restaurant for a while, and soon enough, the dishes arrived! The light and crispy coating made with large breadcrumbs was delicious as always. Dipping it in the freshly ground sesame sauce enhanced the flavor even more. Both the Hire and Kaki Fry were of high quality and satisfying. The Minced Cutlet, just like the Hire Cutlet, had a light and crispy coating with a generous amount of meat juice. The juicy minced meat combined with the gooey cheese made the Cutlet quite delicious. It was a deep-fried paradise, and I was completely satisfied!

This is a tonkatsu restaurant located on the west side of Nijo Street in Kyoto. I really like this place. However, it's hard to visit because there is no parking lot, and the nearest coin parking is a bit far. The high-quality meat and well-drained oil make the tonkatsu delicious. The staff (maybe the owner) also has a nice smile. I would love to visit this place again if I have the chance. Thank you for the meal.
