Cafe-style Western izakaya restaurant! It's a 3-minute walk from Kyoto Kawaramachi Station. The restaurant is located on the 2nd floor, but there is a projection signboard displaying the "Shokudo Days" logo on the road in front of the restaurant, making it very easy to find. The omurice is famous for lunch, and in the evening, it turns into an izakaya where you can still enjoy omurice. The "White Omurice" for ¥2,090 is seriously delicious. I love creamy omurice, but this one is top-level in taste! The hash beef sauce is just right in sweetness with a rich flavor that makes you want to eat it endlessly every day. The presentation is also amazing, although I can't post videos, it's really Instagrammable. I also tried the "Katsuo no Tataki", "Ahihijo", and "Crab Cream Croquette". I came for the omurice, but the other dishes also had stylish and eye-catching presentations, and the taste was very satisfying. I love cream croquettes, and the variety of alcohol available was great! I love red shiso shochu highball! The restaurant atmosphere includes 24 seats with a counter, a smoking room, modern and stylish interior, clean environment, and a relaxing dining experience. The staff members are very kind and have lovely smiles. I could see the kitchen from my table, and the chef worked efficiently and impressively. The servers were also very efficient and their explanations of the dishes were very helpful. When leaving, the two of them gave me big smiles, making me feel really good to end my time in Kyoto. Thank you very much. It was a wonderful meal!

I made a reservation and went. Everything I ate was delicious! Not just the white omurice, but everything else was also delicious. I want to go back to this restaurant. The interior doesn't seem very spacious, so I think it's better to make a reservation. The alcohol was also delicious, and I had a great time.

I was able to make a lunch reservation, so I reserved for 1 pm on the day and was able to enter the restaurant. When I arrived at the restaurant, there was a sign saying that lunch was fully booked by reservation, so I was glad I reserved. I ordered the limited white omurice B set! It came with a bite-sized potage, a draft beer, and a watered-down Komori Izou. When I cut into the fluffy egg, a runny half-boiled egg flowed out from inside, making the omurice delicious. The bite-sized potage was also delicious as it was served cold.

The majority of customers around are young women. They mostly order the visually appealing omurice with a white omelette on top, which they cut open with a knife. As for myself, I ordered the hamburger steak set. The side dishes for the hamburger steak are quite interesting, including fern, spicy cod roe, pickled cucumber, bamboo shoots, and more. Among them, the special tofu sourced from a Kyoto restaurant with a hint of salt is a perfect match. While the hamburger steak is good, these unique combinations are also intriguing. It seems like there are various other specialties to enjoy besides the tofu.

This restaurant requires reservations. Even on weekdays, it seems difficult to get in without one. This time, I ordered the famous white omurice. As you can see in the photo, it is very creamy. The taste is rich and the eggs are delicious! I also ordered the soup set (this time it was corn soup). I liked the stylish plates and spoons! Although we were told we had a one-hour limit for the table, they allowed us to stay longer as there was no rush for the next reservation. It was a very pleasant restaurant experience!

I heard about the amazing white omurice and decided to go try it! The white omurice is truly pure white♪( ´▽`) When you cut open the white and fluffy omurice, the egg yolk pops out, which I found really cute (〃ω〃). The white omurice has a slightly light taste, so eating it with a slightly sweet demi-glace sauce and chicken rice is just right and very delicious ❤️ I thought 1700 yen for omurice was a bit pricey, but when I later searched about white eggs, I realized that they are quite expensive, so the price is justified. It seems that the white omurice can sell out, so I think making a reservation is necessary when going. Thank you for the meal!

Days Dining in Kawaramachi, Kyoto White Omurice (1760 yen) I've been eyeing the omurice at Days for a while now! Originally served at the Western-style restaurant Rokuhori, which unfortunately closed down. The head chef then opened Days Dining, where you can now enjoy their signature white omurice! When you cut open the pure white omelette, a bright yellow yolk oozes out. It's delicious when mixed with the sauce. Not only does it look great for photos, but it's also really tasty. Making a reservation was definitely a good decision since they were fully booked! ✌️

Visited for Sunday lunch. Made a reservation the night before. It was fully booked for lunch time with reservations. Ordered the white omurice I wanted to try. It was fluffy and had raw egg inside, amazing! Started craving beer. Maybe a bit more demiglace sauce would have been nice. But it was delicious, the staff were friendly, and I'm glad I went!

On Sunday evening at 6:00 pm, the restaurant in Kyoto was definitely crowded. I made a reservation to secure a table. There were people who arrived before the opening (before 6:00 pm) without a reservation, but they were turned away because all reservation slots were filled. Some were asked to come back at a later time. It's best to make a reservation in advance. The chef skillfully made an omelette rice that amateurs cannot easily replicate. When you cut the omelette rice in half, the egg inside oozes out smoothly...!!! It all depends on the chef's skill. It's a perfect dish for Instagram. The chef, a man, took our order while what seemed to be his wife served us. We ordered Classic Omelette Rice (yellow) and White Omelette Rice. The dishes arrived relatively quickly on flat plates that were stylish and chic. Although it may seem difficult to scoop up the omelette rice, there was a spoon with a flat end that made it easier. Since it's a restaurant with a highly skilled chef, the taste was undeniably delicious. Personally, I preferred the White Omelette Rice as it was lighter and tastier. The flavors of the yellow and white omelette rice were slightly different, so it's fun to compare and enjoy them both.

Three-day weekend. I wanted to eat something a little delicious, so I searched for a restaurant from last night. I wanted to eat omurice, so I found Dining Days. It seemed to be a popular restaurant, so I was worried it might be crowded, but when I called at 9 am, they said they could prepare a seat for me, so I went there happily. The interior of the restaurant seemed to be run by two people. The stylish exterior and interior made me feel good. ¥1,760 for omurice, ¥1,980 for hamburger set. The prices were a bit high, but I didn't mind because of the good location. When the food was served, I was surprised by how good it looked and tasted. Is this too good of a deal?! I used to think that a hamburger just needed meat on a plate, but this beautifully presented hamburger was so delicious!!! I have never been so satisfied with side dishes before!!! Shishito peppers, eggplant, asparagus, carrots, onion slices, cucumbers, okra, tomatoes, onsen egg, tarako, pickles, tofu, jalapenos - everything was delicious!! The omurice was also delicious as rumored, the cutlery was easy to use, the service was pleasant, and I was very satisfied. Couples and groups of two women kept coming in, but they sadly had to leave when they saw the "full house" sign for lunchtime. If you want to go, be sure to make a reservation and give it a try. I saw a white fluffy omurice with a yellow yolk on Instagram and it caught my attention, so I made a reservation about a week ago for a Saturday night. They offer three types of omurice: regular omurice, omurice with white eggs, and evening omurice (lemon-flavored). In addition to omurice, they have a variety of Western dishes such as carpaccio, prosciutto and gorgonzola salad, roast beef, hamburgers, various cutlets, as well as daily specials. It was hard to choose because everything looked delicious, but in the end, my friend and I shared the recommended crab cream croquette, a combination of the famous potato salad and macaroni salad, salmon carpaccio, and white omurice. We also ordered peach juice as our drink. The food was brought to us with perfect timing and the dishes were cleared at the same time. The potato salad had onions as a nice touch, and the macaroni salad had a creamy mayo sauce. The carpaccio appetizer was refreshing with a dashi jelly and chopped myoga. The crab cream croquette had a unique shape and a crispy coating with plenty of crab and crab miso on top, served with a rich demi-glace sauce. The eagerly awaited white omurice had a runny egg and a buttery scrambled egg-like texture. The chicken rice inside was flavorful but not heavy, and we enjoyed it until the last bite. The omurice is famous, but all the other dishes were also delicious, so I would love to come back again. The female waitress who served our table was very kind and attentive, and the atmosphere of the restaurant was great. However, it is recommended to make a reservation as all walk-in customers except for the first person were unable to enter due to full capacity.

I ordered the White Omurice for 1750 yen. When I cut into it, the egg whites cascaded down and the yolk oozed out smoothly! I wonder how they make this dish - it's amazing! It seems like it would be difficult to control the heat... I thought it could use a bit more sauce, but the butter flavor was well infused into the eggs so it wasn't a big deal. It was delicious ❤️ The staff were friendly too, so I definitely want to go back.

I couldn't get a seat last time I tried to come, so this time I made a reservation and had no problem getting in. The restaurant had a beautiful and stylish atmosphere. The white omurice was exactly as the name suggests, with the egg being white. They gave me a knife to cut the egg in the middle and spread it over the rice, making it look beautiful. The demi-glace sauce was slightly sweet, and when eaten with the egg and chicken rice, it tasted really good. I also ordered the A set, which came with a bite-sized potage soup, mini potato salad, and macaroni salad. The potage soup was just the right amount to warm me up on a cold day. The salads had chunky potatoes and were seasoned perfectly, giving off a homemade feel. I hadn't had potato salad like that in a while, and it was delicious. The set was satisfying and filled me up. I don't usually eat demi-glace omurice, but this one was so delicious that I will definitely come back again.

On September 20, 2020, I visited a restaurant run by a chef who used to be the head chef at a Western-style restaurant called "Seiyo Shuro Roppori" on Horikawa Street before the opening of the dining days. The restaurant is located a few minutes south from Shijo Kawaramachi, next to Cocoichi. The most popular dish is the omurice, which comes in two types: 1) Classic Omurice (plain) and 2) White Omurice (an omurice with a white omelet made from egg whites hiding the yolk inside). This time, I tried the Classic Omurice, which costs 1560 yen including a salad. The ketchup rice is topped with a fluffy omelet. You need to cut the omelet in the middle with a knife to spread the runny egg properly. The demi-glace sauce with onions and beef added is delicious with a refined flavor. I wish there was a bit more sauce. The price has increased to 1560 yen from the opening, which felt a bit expensive.
