The seared rare beef shabu-shabu lunch was delicious. The meat was perfectly fatty and so tasty. The side dishes and salad were also well-prepared, and the free refill rice was shiny and delicious. I have to say it again, the meat was so delicious. The service was also great, and they even saw us off. Thank you for making us feel so happy.

It was my first visit. I had the chef's choice course for yakiniku. The meat was definitely delicious, but I felt it was a bit too little. Also, the kimchi was starting to dry out, and the non-meat dishes were just average. It might be a good place if you want to eat yakiniku quietly. I also felt that ordering a la carte might be better than the course.

I made a reservation at a restaurant that was recommended on YouTube and I've always wanted to visit. They prepared a private room for us. I ordered the best-looking grilled shabu-shabu lunch for 1450 yen. It came with rice, miso soup, salad, pickles, side dishes, dessert, and the main meat, all for under 1500 yen. It was amazing. The meat was lean and easy to eat, and I ended up getting a second helping of rice. The staff was speedy and friendly, and I definitely want to come back again.

From lunchtime, I had yakiniku at Ryuuan, a restaurant in Gion-Shijo, Kyoto. The grilled lunch set included a salad, miso soup, rice, 9 types of namul, and thinly sliced lean meat. The meat was delicious and perfect for lunch. I also enjoyed it with salt. The dessert was a matcha baked good. The restaurant has a quiet and calming atmosphere, making it a recommended place to enjoy delicious meat. I would love to visit again.

The atmosphere in the private room was very nice. We made a 1 for 1 reservation through the Amex Platinum Gourmet Selection and paid ¥25,000 for two people. Honestly, I thought this price was too high. Instead of thinking of it as one person being free, I felt like the original price for two people was ¥25,000. The meat was all high quality, and we enjoyed various cuts like tongue, skirt steak, Chateaubriand, and seafood. They also prepared a dessert plate for us. It was nice to be able to relax and enjoy a leisurely meal.

I had been curious for a while, and finally had the chance to visit for lunch. The interior gives off a high-end vibe. The meat dishes are all delicious. I wish I could have eaten more during dinner time. The appetizer platter was just average though...

It had been a while since I visited Ryuuan for some delicious tan (beef tongue), and I felt like indulging in it. There were no other customers in the restaurant that day. I really wanted to eat a lot of tan, so the staff kindly made a tan tasting set for me. I was so happy that they listened to my request. Thank you for the delicious meal.

I found this restaurant online and decided to have lunch there. The interior and service were nothing special, but I was surprised by the high quality of the meat! I ordered the lean beef shabu-shabu lunch, and the meat had a beautiful marbling, almost like a sirloin. The cost performance is very high, so I highly recommend it. If you want to enjoy delicious yakiniku for a reasonable price at lunch, this is the place to go.

When I visited Kyoto during the Obon festival, I made a reservation for lunch. I ordered the grilled lunch set for 2,000 yen and a beer. The meat was served in a large piece and was cut into smaller pieces with scissors. The harami was tender and juicy, which was impressive. I thought it might be a bit small, but I ended up feeling full. We had a private room for two and I thought it was a good deal, but it turned out there was a misunderstanding and we were actually charged 4,200 yen for the special grilled lunch set, making it a 5,000 yen lunch per person with the beer included. I paid for it since we already ate, but I received the receipt and realized the mistake. I felt unsatisfied as we headed back home, and the conclusion of my Kyoto trip was disappointing.

I regularly visit this restaurant for lunch. My favorite is the lean shabu-shabu grilled lunch, which has amazing cost performance. It comes with quickly grilled meat, salad, rice, miso soup, pickles, and even dessert for 1,500 yen including tax. The meat just melts in your mouth, it's so delicious. You grill it quickly like shabu-shabu. It's a momentary battle because it can easily get overcooked if you look away! The restaurant is located in Gion, close to the station along the Kamo River, and the individual rooms for seating provide a safe dining experience even during the pandemic. It feels like a place used for dates or business entertainment. The restaurant pays attention to details, such as having a proper place to store your belongings without any smell, which is really impressive. I recommend trying the delicious lean shabu-shabu grilled meat here! (*´꒳`*)

Ryuan in Gion, Kyoto offers high-quality Tamura beef, Omi beef, and various other Wagyu beef sourced from special routes across Japan. I visited after a long time. First, we had the Kimchi assortment, which had a variety of flavors. The Wagyu sashimi assortment included tender red meat with good texture, and flavorful heart meat. The bite-sized beef stew was delicious and went well with rice. The Omi beef triangular belly had a good balance of marbled fat and lean meat, making it rich and flavorful. The Wagyu rumen had a nice texture, and the Wagyu tongue was soft and tender. The 52-month-old Tajima beef ribeye was incredibly tender with fine fibers, making it a delightful experience to savor the taste of the lean meat. The Harami meat was juicy and full of umami flavor. The Ichibo had a rich meaty taste with flavorful fat. Next, we tried their specialty grilled shabu-shabu, starting with the Omi beef outside round and the Hida beef sirloin, both thinly sliced with excellent meat quality that melted in the mouth. We also added the Wagyu loin grilled shabu-shabu, which had an even thinner cut and melted more in the mouth. The meat sushi, lightly seared, melted in the mouth with an accent of salmon roe. The tail ramen had well-prepared tail meat with a good mouthfeel, as it had been simmered for a long time, resulting in tender meat and a flavorful, slightly cloudy soup. Even after serving the soup, the meat still retained its umami flavor. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience. Although located in Gion and not cheap, it is a highly recommended restaurant for enjoying authentic Wagyu beef. The restaurant has a rating of 3.39 on Tabelog.

On Sunday at 11:30, I took my son to Ryuan for a Go To Eat campaign. A male staff member came to put out the curtain about 5 minutes before opening and kindly let us in. We were seated in a private room with a nice and calm atmosphere. Looking at the menu, they offered a variety of options from rice bowls to lunch courses. We ordered the Grilled Meat Lunch for 1,800 yen each, which featured a rare cut of meat as the main dish, along with side dishes, rice, miso soup, pickles, and a dessert. The salad and rice were served at 11:29, followed by the meat at 11:37. The meat looked beautiful and my son immediately asked if he could have seconds of rice. The staff informed us that it was possible to have one refill. We grilled the meat on the hot plate with vegetables and sliced it with scissors before enjoying. The meat was delicious and the sauce complemented its sweetness well. My son, who usually isn't interested in meat, was thrilled to be having grilled meat and praised it in his own way. The pumpkin side dish and pickles were also delicious. It was a satisfying lunch experience. When my son asked for a rice refill, the staff kindly offered to give him a larger portion. I've gotten used to choosing restaurants based on star ratings, but through the Go To Eat campaign, I've realized that there are many great restaurants worth trying. The private room and delicious food made our experience wonderful. The staff's excellent service also made me want to come back again. Thank you for the lovely lunch. Itadakimasu!

Grilled lunch set for 1800 yen, Shabu-shabu lunch for 2000 yen. The lamb core and Ichibo were delicious, with the Ichibo being tender and tasty. We were seated in a stylish and cozy semi-private space for two people. The lunch was relatively good value for money.Visited at 13:00.

When we visited Kyoto for sightseeing, there were six of us ladies who went to have lunch at this beautiful restaurant. We ordered a yakiniku lunch for around ¥2,800, and the meat was delicious, and the service from the staff was fantastic. Having beer and yakiniku during the day was the best. Since we were planning to visit Kennin-ji Temple after lunch, it was great that the restaurant was so close by! It became a place we would like to visit again when we're in Kyoto. I apologize for the blurry photo of the meat as it was a screenshot from a video. By the way, next to Ryuuan, there is a famous chocolate shop with an Instagrammable feather wall mural. The yakiniku shot from Ryuuan is also perfect for Instagram! Thank you for the meal.

I went out for lunch after a long time! It was delicious as always (^^)♫ The meat here never disappoints, no matter when you eat it. The rich flavor of the meat combined with the light and gentle homemade sauce enhances the sweetness and umami of the meat. After trying it once, you'll find yourself craving Ryu-an's meat even when you go to other yakiniku restaurants. The meat is always freshly cut after you order, so it's always in the best condition. It's a place where you'll always want to come back! Thank you for the wonderful meal♡♡♡♡

Once you try the yakiniku at this restaurant, such as the lunch special, Iburi Rosu, and A5-grade Wagyu raw tongue, you won't be able to go to other places anymore! The cost performance is great, the rare cuts are delicious, and the freshness is outstanding. A must-eat in life! "Ryu-an's yakiniku," haha. It's a truly delicious restaurant. It gives me the energy to do my best from tomorrow onwards! Thank you for the meal.

I had a lunch at a restaurant that serves only 10 meals a day. The atmosphere of the restaurant was nice and the staff were very friendly. You can have seconds of rice only once. 😊

In June 2023, I made a reservation before visiting the restaurant. I arrived a little before the opening time and there was one person already there, a handsome bald foreigner smoking cigarettes in the designated area outside the restaurant. Just before opening, the staff warmly welcomed us in and showed us to our reserved semi-private table. There were a few staff members around, but the one who took our order was the handsome foreigner with a bald head who spoke fluent and beautiful Japanese. He was so charming and I bet he is popular with the ladies. I ordered the grilled lunch set for 3,300 yen.
