At night in Higashiyama Sanjo, I enjoyed a luxurious Neapolitan pizza from a Michelin-listed restaurant. Despite its reputation, the large pizza was priced around 12 euros, making it quite a good deal. I started with the Macherai, which was topped with plenty of mozzarella. It had a lot of meat toppings like ham, salami, and sausage, providing a satisfying meal. The overall taste was salty, giving off a down-to-earth flavor. The highlight was the dessert, Catalana (ice brulee coated with caramel), which was fantastic. It made me realize once again that Italian cuisine ultimately comes down to the dolce. I look forward to trying a pizza with tomato sauce next time.

East Mountain Station is also home to a famous pizza place with a high rating on Tabelog, but this place offers very high-quality pizza as well. The interior of the shop is quite small, but there is an authentic pizza oven inside. The decor gives off a vibe reminiscent of Italy. The pizza dough is chewy, and the buffalo cheese is rich in milk flavor. The sweetness and acidity of the tomatoes match perfectly. I ordered a slightly sparkling white wine, which was very enjoyable. It paired perfectly with the pizza. The pizza was so delicious that I also ordered my favorite tiramisu. The mascarpone cheese was incredibly smooth and delicious. The coffee was a strong Italian roast that paired well with the sweets. I definitely want to visit this place again.

The owner visited with acquaintances of acquaintances. As mentioned in other reviews, the cost performance is good, but if you indulge in too many appetizers, you'll have to carefully choose from the wide variety of pizzas, which can be counterproductive. It might be better to go with just a salad and maybe challenge yourself with three pizzas if you're hungry. I would like to visit again.

Located in the middle of Kyoto, on Sanjo Street, is Pizzeria Da Nagino. We sat at a table right by the cooking counter. They quickly bake the ordered pizza. The lunch menu is the same as the regular menu. The first one was a simple pizza without cheese - Marinara with garlic and a bit of spicy oil drizzled. The second one was loaded with vegetables - Ortolana. The pizzas arrived together so we were busy eating. The knife cut well and was easy to eat with. Wood-fired oven pizzas never disappoint! Another delicious pizza this time. Ate it all quickly!

Pizza seems to be famous here. I didn't know even though it faces Sanjo Street. When I entered the shop, there was a large oven. I started with Margherita. It had tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese, and dough. The acidity of the tomatoes was just right, delicious! Michelin.

To Pizzeria Da Nagino, which has been awarded the Michelin Bib Gourmand. They have a limited selection of a la carte dishes, so it's more of a place to enjoy pizza. We started with some beer and wine and ordered the Calamari Fritti (fried squid) which was seasoned just right with a good amount of salt. Next, we had the Frittata con Provolone (smoked mozzarella and vegetable oven-baked omelette) which had a nice runny yolk and a great combination of cheese and vegetables. For the pizza, we tried the Diavola and Bismarck Bianca half & half, followed by the Montebianco and Capricciosa half & half. It was great that we could order half & half pizzas. Both pizzas had delicious crust and toppings, but I especially loved the Bismarck with its runny egg. Overall, we had a great time enjoying delicious pizza at an affordable price.

Michelin Guide has continuously featured this restaurant from 2019 to 2022. Both the toppings and the dough are to my liking. The dough is quite thin in the center with a generous amount of toppings. The saltiness is not overwhelming. It doesn't even need a drink to go with it. Yet, it tastes very authentic. Even though the sausage and vegetables like arugula may seem salty, they are either homemade or have been desalted, so the flavors are rich yet just right. - Capricciosa 1550 yen + tax - Salsiccia 1600 yen + tax

I visited for lunch on Tuesday, April 12, 2022, and there was only one other customer. I ordered the Visa lunch with tuna. It came out quickly, in about 10 minutes, and it was nice to be able to eat it right away. The flavor of the mozzarella cheese and tomato was really good. The dough was firm, almost like bread, and I ended up feeling very full.

The restaurant is located near Heian Shrine, a popular spot for tourists. It's easy to find as it faces the street. The exterior is not flashy. The interior is a bit dimly lit, creating a calm atmosphere. The layout is long with table seating and a counter at the back. You can see the stone oven through the glass. I visited on a holiday at 1 pm, and the place was almost full. It's possible to make a reservation, so it might be a good idea if you have plans. I was seated at a table near the entrance, which was available. The menu has a variety of options, but I decided to keep it simple and ordered the "Margherita" for 1210 yen including tax. The table was already set with paper napkins, a knife, and a fork. The pizza arrived in just 5 minutes. It measured 26 cm in diameter, a typical size. The dough was not too thick or thin, with a slightly chewy texture and a hint of wheat flavor. The tomato sauce had a nice acidity, and the mozzarella cheese offered a salty and rich flavor. The basil added a refreshing touch, creating a well-balanced taste overall. While it wasn't outstandingly delicious, the balance was excellent. Considering the location, portion size, and quality, the cost performance is good. It's a popular pizzeria where you can enjoy a variety of flavors. It was a satisfying meal.

An Italian restaurant with a long and narrow storefront near Higashiyama Sanjo Station. Inside the restaurant, they were broadcasting Kyoto Sanga's game. Due to the current situation, we couldn't drink alcohol, but the menu made us crave wine. We ordered delicious appetizers, including a European-style omelette and caprese. Instead of the typical pasta dishes found in Italian restaurants, the menu was filled with pages of various pizzas. The selection was extensive, and you could feel their confidence through the menu. We ordered a octopus pizza and a folded pizza, both of which were incredibly delicious! Although the portions were quite generous, two of us finished them easily. Next time, I look forward to enjoying a standard pizza and wine.

The B lunch set with appetizer costs 1400 yen, plus 150 yen for a drink and 150 yen for dessert. The dessert of the day was tiramisu. I added 300 yen to change the pizza from Tonno to Bismarck. Weekday lunches have set menus in addition to à la carte options, which are a good deal.

Kyoto, where you can feel the autumn vibes in the air. The other day, after watching Bakarhythm's "Adult Hobbies," I had a sudden craving for pizza. I searched and found Da Nagino. First, I had chicken broth ramen at Hebi Shoku, then headed to Napoli Pizza. Despite being amazed by my own appetite, I ordered a Margherita pizza right away! A seemingly Italian or foreign staff member took my order, providing excellent service. Since it was lunchtime, a mini salad was included. The light dressing and cherry tomatoes were delicious. After a short 5-minute wait, the long-awaited Margherita pizza arrived. Wow! The freshly baked aroma was delightful! I had doubts after eating ramen, but it was so tasty! The crust was irresistible! I was told that pizza must be eaten within 5 minutes of being served, so I savored every bite while huffing and puffing. The balanced tomato sauce with a hint of acidity was also great. Truly deserving of the Bib Gourmand title. Thank you for the meal!

I came across this place while looking for a restaurant near the finish line of the Kyoto Marathon 2020. They have a pizza oven and the taste is excellent. If you can finish the marathon in about 3 and a half hours, you can relax here until lunch closing time! The atmosphere is also great. I will definitely come back next year when I run in Kyoto.

I visited this restaurant around 11:55 on January 22nd (Wednesday). I had been wanting to check out this place for a while but never had the chance to visit. The other day, when I went to a pizza place in Uji, I saw the name of this restaurant on the flowers for their grand opening celebration, which piqued my interest. Today, I finally made it here. I found out about the Uji pizza place from a chiropractor who used to play soccer. The TV in this restaurant was showing soccer games. Is there a soccer connection here? The food was delicious! I think it's better to make a reservation at the pizzeria in Higashiyama Sanjo because there are always many customers. The extensive menu of pizzas is attractive, and everything is delicious. It's a nice restaurant that you can use casually for everyday meals or dates. There aren't many side menu options, but since pizzas are the main focus, it's not a big deal. The drinks are reasonably priced. If I had one request, it would be to have some aged grappa available, but oh well, they don't have it... haha. Overall, it's a highly recommended restaurant!

"I trained in Naples" and "authentic Neapolitan pizza" are becoming common claims among restaurants. However, just because a restaurant makes these claims, it doesn't guarantee that the food will be delicious. This particular restaurant seems to fall into that category. The sausage and mozzarella pizza had good flavor, but the Margherita lacked depth, and the crust felt somewhat lacking. The tables are also too small, making it difficult to fit all the dishes. They brought out two pizzas at once, leaving us worried about space on the table. It might be a good idea for them to work on improving their service and operations. I usually try not to be too critical, but this was a bit concerning.

This is a shop I happened to find while walking back from Da Yuuki's place. I was hesitant to eat here since I just had pizza earlier, but I thought it would be a waste not to eat here after coming all this way. The combination of salsiccia, mozzarella cheese, and ricotta cheese was interesting. When salsiccia is paired with other ingredients, tomato sauce is usually not used, and it is often paired with friarielli. This one looked like a Margherita pizza. It was very delicious, but I felt like the sweetness of the ricotta cheese was unnecessary. I prefer it without. I think I would have preferred more bitterness or freshness. It seems to have been selected for the 2019 Bib Gourmand. However, the peak time for Sunday lunch doesn't seem to be very busy, perhaps due to the heat or being a bit far from the station. Despite Kyoto being a city overflowing with inbound tourists, Italian restaurants seem to struggle to benefit. The Japanese-style restaurants were bustling instead. Thank you for the meal.
