It's been exactly a year since my last visit in May 2013. This time, I opted for the chef's choice course to try out some nice cuts of meat. I don't know much about different cuts of meat, so I really appreciate the chef's choice system. As mentioned in the title, I truly enjoyed it. I tried various cuts of meat with homemade grated ponzu, wasabi soy sauce, and sweet sauce. The wasabi soy sauce was the most delicious. After finishing the meat, I ordered the Catalana for dessert. The meal included rice in large and small portions, soup, two glasses of oolong tea, and it cost 9700 yen. Thank you for the meal!
Lately, my pattern has been to have a light lunch and an early dinner. I followed this pattern again this time and visited around 5 o'clock. Of course, there were no other customers. I had seen the restaurant on Tabelog, so I had some idea of what to expect, but I was a bit nervous until I entered the restaurant (I'm a scaredy-cat...). However, the staff warmly welcomed me once I entered. Since I'm not very knowledgeable about meat, I ordered the Amaterasu assorted platter. They asked for my preferences, so I requested to avoid offal, which I'm not fond of. I also had egg soup, kimchi, rice (large and small portions), and two glasses of oolong tea. The photos and words in this review may not fully convey how delicious it was, but it was indeed tasty. From the sirloin yakiniku to the kimchi and cabbage, my wife and I enjoyed every bite. Lastly, even though I usually don't order dessert at yakiniku restaurants, I couldn't resist the Catalana (black sesame, matcha, creme brulee) trio after seeing pictures inside the restaurant. It was a big hit, especially the creme brulee, which was so delicious that I wanted to take some home. The taste was great, the service was excellent, and the price was reasonable. This time, we didn't drink alcohol, but we left full and satisfied for 5700 yen. They even escorted us outside, making it a very pleasant dinner, even though it was still bright outside...
