I had been wanting to go during the corona period, but I had been refraining from going due to the need to wear masks. Today, I finally got the chance to go. I ordered the chicken and vegetable curry. The rice was a yellow rice called turmeric rice, I think. The curry wasn't too spicy and was easy to eat. Since it's a nearby restaurant, I would like to visit again in the future. Thank you very much.

Today's special vegetable curry with fried vegetables topping was sold out. Although I was interested in trying it, I was satisfied with the delicious curry of the day. Today's curry was squid and clam curry, full of seafood flavor and seasoned perfectly. The chicken curry was spicier, but personally, I preferred the curry of the day. The fried vegetables topping was plentiful and added a nice touch. There were also other interesting toppings available. I will definitely come back again.

Ordered the vegetable and chicken combo. The vegetables were delicious, but the chicken was just okay. Recommended for those who want to eat curry but also want to get their vegetables in. It seemed to be targeted towards women, as two women were dining there. They also serve alcohol, so it might be a good option for those who want to have a little drink.

I stopped by a vending machine behind the store to buy a drink, but I was tempted by the scent of spices, so I decided to go in! I ordered the two types of whimsical curry, Chicken & Keema Curry, for 1150 yen. I also added extra rice for 100 yen. The lunch comes with a salad! The vegetables in the salad were cold and crunchy, very delicious, and raised my expectations for the curry! Just as I finished the salad, the curry arrived! The spices were just right, and it had a gentle, homely feel like the atmosphere in the restaurant. They even brought water without me asking, and after ordering, they asked if I wanted coriander. I came to Enmachi in search of healing from a Golden Retriever. The smoked curry I was looking for was closed, so I walked a bit and found another curry shop. It was my first visit. The shop seemed to have been renovated from a traditional Kyoto townhouse, with a long layout. Inside, there was a kitchen and counter seats near the entrance, and a few tables in the back tatami area. The shop seemed like it could also be used as a bar at night, with plenty of appetizers on the menu. I ordered the Ginger Pork Curry and Chicken Curry combo for 1150 yen, with an extra large serving of rice for 100 yen. A side salad was included in the set. The Chicken Curry had a reliable flavor. The Pork Curry had a strong ginger flavor, but personally, I felt the meat was a bit tough. Also, I personally prefer a bit more spiciness. The menu consists of two main dishes: a sweet homemade vegetable curry (no animal ingredients) and a medium-spicy chicken curry. You can enjoy both with the "combination" option. I ordered the Chicken and Vegetable Combination Curry (950 yen) and was asked if I was okay with cilantro. The curry comes with saffron rice in the middle and a variety of homemade pickles. The spiciness is just right, suitable for those who prefer a milder curry. The flavors are gentle and comforting, like the kind owner herself. The portion size was not too large. In the evening, the place transforms into a bar where you can enjoy both appetizers and curry. I would love to visit again at night if I were nearby.

The nearest station is Enmachi Station, and I visited "Kensei Curry Sakaba Amrita" for lunch. You can adjust the spiciness level, but I ordered the basic "Chicken and Vegetable Curry." The curry was rich in spices but not too spicy, making it easy for beginners to enjoy. The vegetables included mushrooms, green beans, and chickpeas, but the vegetable flavor was not very strong. There was a good amount of chicken in the curry. I have grown to tolerate cilantro, so I didn't ask for it to be removed. The cost for making the chicken and vegetables spicy was an additional 50 yen. Overall, it was a satisfying meal.

The counter is lined with spices, including my favorite Opia. Now, let's indulge in some curry and drinks! - Homemade lemon syrup highball ¥500: A sweet drink to soothe your tired feet. - Tandoori-style chicken wings ¥400: A perfect dish for enjoying spices without heavy carbs, easy to nibble on. - Special vegetable curry (spicy) ¥1000: A unique vegetable curry topped with fried vegetables, focusing on the natural flavors rather than spice. Light on oil, it won't leave you feeling heavy the next day. - Small draft beer set ¥200: A thoughtful set to enjoy with your curry. - Bontaname sake ¥700: A dessert-like drink to finish off the meal. There used to be a restaurant near Suufuru. I found it on social media and was really curious about it. It seems to be a renovated izakaya with a retro cafe-like atmosphere, with a Majolica-style wallpaper in the back reminiscent of a cafe in Nishijin. The subtle decorations and books create a cozy vibe. I ordered the vegetable curry and chicken curry combination. The aroma was amazing and the flavors were rich with a variety of spices. There was also a hint of Japanese taste. The rice was soft and blended well with the curry. I felt like I wanted to use this place as a cafe too. It was a lovely restaurant.

If you head north from Kyoto, there is a recently opened curry restaurant in Enmachi. They also have a bar at night. The atmosphere is quite nice, and I prefer spicier curries. The bar snacks seem more enjoyable. They have a variety of drinks, but it seems like they focus more on whiskey and cocktails rather than shochu and sake.

I finally attacked the newly opened restaurant that I had my eye on! I ordered the Chicken Curry for 800 yen. It's spicy but not extremely hot, and I think it's a curry that anyone would say is "delicious" when they eat it. On the other hand, I also feel like I want it to have a more distinctive character. The female owner seems gentle and kind, so I don't expect anything too unique to come out! Since I like a lot of curry sauce, next time I think I'll order it with "less rice, no reduction in sauce." I wonder if they can accommodate requests for "spicier"?
