Near the Kintetsu Kyoto Line "Takeda" station, I noticed a sign for curry at a restaurant called "Spicy Heart" and decided to stop by. From the name, I expected to be able to enjoy a curry with a lot of spices. I parked my car in a coin parking lot, but the restaurant also has parking space for 3 cars, so please check the exact location in the photos. Inside the restaurant, there was a slim large TV, counter seats, and a dart board with a list of tournament winners, indicating that it turns into a darts bar at night. Behind the counter seats near the kitchen, bottles of whiskey and other alcohol were displayed, creating a bar-like atmosphere. However, during the day, it serves as a curry and lunch spot for housewives and office workers. The lunch sets that the people next to me were eating (such as chicken cutlet or fried chicken set) seemed quite filling, but I stood my ground and ordered the ¥500 one-coin "Homemade Curry Udon Lunch." The restaurant was run by two older sisters, with about 8 counter seats and 3 table blocks. The dish arrived after about 10 minutes, and it was curry udon with a side of small rice, which felt a bit small in terms of portion size. However, when I tasted it, the thick and spicy curry, with about three pieces of beef added, was delicious. It was a bit disappointing that there were no green onions in the beef curry udon, but I could sense their dedication to the dish. The udon noodles were angular in shape and paired well with the curry. The older sister advised me to eat the rice with curry at the end, allowing me to enjoy it like a dry curry. Overall, considering the price of ¥500, the atmosphere and service were decent. I would like to try the other ¥750 lunch sets as well. With the one-coin lunch in mind, I would rate it 3.5 stars out of 5 (68/100).
