Last month... When I was in the mood for eating beef, I was invited by a friend to go to Chifaja Shiraumecho store. This was my first visit since I went there before they had the all-you-can-eat option over a decade ago. Back then, it was a simple and easy-to-use yakiniku restaurant where you could choose between low-priced beef and high-priced premium series. Time has passed and Chifaja has transformed into a place known for its all-you-can-eat option. The Shiraumecho location is also connected to a more upscale restaurant called "An," but I think the regular Chifaja is good enough for me. Now, about my visit to Chifaja Shiraumecho store this time. Overall rating 3.5, cooking/taste 3.5, service 4.0, atmosphere 3.5, value for money 4.0, drinks 3.0. Earlier this year... I had my first experience of the 1980 yen all-you-can-eat option at the Nishiiin store, and I was amazed by how affordable it was. I remember overeating and drinking like there was no tomorrow, and my body felt uncomfortable afterwards... This second time, I learned from that lesson and decided to be more strategic. First, I ordered one serving of my favorite meat to taste test before ordering more. I decided not to order filling rice dishes or salads, as the main goal was to eat meat and drink beer, making the most of the 90-minute yakiniku time. When we ordered several types of meat, the staff asked, "Just meat and beer is okay?" to which I replied, "Once we decide on what to eat, we will order plenty." We unanimously decided on the Super Kalbi as the main dish for the day, followed by everyone's favorite Wiener sausages and lots of beer... For side dishes, we had Kimchi and Namul, each served individually. Since leaving food behind would result in a penalty, we only ordered small amounts of items other than meat and beer... We ordered the same items repeatedly, so the staff came to take our orders before they ran out... As the name suggests, the all-you-can-eat concept was well executed, and the staff were attentive in providing us with a variety of options. Before the beer ran out, they would ask, "Would you like a refill?" and they also backed up the all-you-can-drink option. The well-trained staff made a good impression, and we thoroughly enjoyed 90 minutes of beef and beer... What surprised me at this restaurant was the low prices, and they even offered unlimited soft drinks... High school students from the area were enjoying the all-you-can-eat option... If a restaurant like this had existed when I was in high school, I'm sure I would have used it too. The presence of Chifaja Shiraumecho store, which satisfies the appetites of adults, children, and students in the community, was truly felt...
