A lovely restaurant with a harmonious atmosphere, offering high-quality yakitori and French-style appetizers like quiche. They have a great selection of wines at reasonable prices. Located in a charming hideaway in Kagurazaka. The yakitori and bistro-style dishes are top-notch, typical of Kagurazaka. The 5000 yen course is a great value, allowing you to add your favorite yakitori and enjoy wine. Starting with sasami with wasabi, followed by a variety of yakitori, seasonal grilled vegetables, and bistro-style dishes. The meal ends with grilled rice balls and chicken soup. The sparkling wine and white wine are reasonably priced and of good quality, around twice the retail price. We also added chicken wings and skewers, both of which were delicious. They have private rooms that are spacious enough for small gatherings or even business entertaining. However, it is perfect for a date night, with a calm and modern atmosphere. A wonderful restaurant that truly embodies the essence of Kagurazaka.

During my last visit, I was surprised by the unexpected quality of the yakitori, so I decided to revisit just one month later. What's amazing about this place is that they always have rare parts like "seseri" and "tsunagi" available for order, so you don't have to worry about missing out on your favorite cuts. The yakitori I had this time included: - Seseri - Obi (chicken tenderloin) - Soriles (chicken tail) - Skin - Heart - Liver - Chocho (chicken oyster) - Tsunagi (chicken breast cartilage) - Hashi (chicken wing tip) The "skin" in particular stood out with a slight bit of meat left on it, making it the most delicious I've ever had. It had a perfect balance of sweetness and texture, with a hint of smokiness that enhanced the overall flavor. I will definitely be coming back for this skewer again!

We made a reservation for a 2-hour time slot without high expectations through a new visit on Tabelog. We were informed about this halfway through. We felt rushed in the second half, but we ended up ordering too much, including wine. The parent and child rice bowl at the end was hurriedly finished, but it was delicious. Overall, it was good. The duck spring rolls had a slight duck smell and the spring roll skin wasn't crispy. The grilled chicken skin was not crispy but rather chewy. Personally, these were the only things that bothered me, otherwise it was good. We ordered various items a la carte, along with beer and two bottles of wine for five people, totaling just over 70,000 yen. It's affordable and good for casual dining. I think it's a good place to bring anyone. Unfortunately, we didn't see the smiling face of the chef at the grill. He lacked friendliness, which was very disappointing. The Soliris and chicken cartilage were my favorites.

A hidden gem of a yakitori restaurant in a side street off Kagurazaka. The clientele is mostly young and it has a lively atmosphere. The course menu is around 5000 yen. They serve a variety of yakitori and Western-style appetizers, so you can get really full. Even with drinks, it's still affordable at under 10,000 yen, making it a reasonable option for drinking in Tokyo.

"Aoi Course ¥5,280 An excellent course featuring delicious grilled chicken and summer vegetables. Every dish was truly delicious, with the perfect amount of salt. Despite it being a Wednesday night, the restaurant was bustling with customers and receiving reservation calls, indicating its popularity."

YAKITORI Aoi in Kagurazaka, known for its competitive yakitori scene, is where I visited this time. It was a Saturday night, and even with a same-day reservation, there were quite a few available seats. Unlike focusing solely on yakitori, this place seems to have a concept of enjoying wine as well, with many dishes that pair well with wine in addition to yakitori skewers. This time, we opted for a course that allows us to enjoy both. - Aoi Course 5,280 yen - Appetizer: Eggplant and Tomato Basil Marinade - First Skewers: Ume Shiso Grilled Chicken Breast, Seseri Skewer, Hatsu Skewer - Meat and Vegetable Platter: Corn Mousse, Seasonal Vegetable Quiche, Chicken Liver Pate - Second Skewers: Ginkgo Skewer, Eggplant Skewer - One Dish: Chicken Terrine with White Sauce - Third Skewers: Liver Skewer, Stomach Skewer - Meal: Grilled Rice Ball, Chicken Soup The yakitori was delicious. The seasoning was just right, and the grilling was spot on, making the skewers juicy. Among the yakitori places in the Kagurazaka area, I think this place ranks high. However, the non-yakitori dishes that come out in between are quite challenging... Since the restaurant emphasizes wine, I can understand the intention to pair the food accordingly, and everything was tasty, but the yakitori is so authentic that it can be confusing with the other dishes. The portions are also generous, making it easy to get full quickly, which can be a dilemma when you want to enjoy a lot of yakitori. If you want to enjoy delicious yakitori, I recommend going for the Yakitori Omakase course or ordering individual skewers. If you're looking to have a date night with wine and a little bit of yakitori on the side, then this course is a good choice.

The narrow streets of Kagurazaka are a delight to walk through on the way to the restaurant, creating an exciting atmosphere. The restaurant in Kagurazaka may be hard to find, but that only adds to the excitement. The bill comes out to around 8,000 yen per person, which is reasonable considering the high quality of the dishes. Both the skewers and the small plates are delicious. The oyakodon is a must-try and highly recommended. The seating arrangement includes counter seats, table seats, and private rooms. Sitting at the counter may be less comfortable if there is a loud group in the private room next to you, but overall, the atmosphere is great. The Aoi course was excellent, with tasty appetizers, salad, sashimi with yuzu pepper, and three delicious small dishes. The Obi Dofinoa and Makomodake Nasu Liver Tsukune were also delightful. Additional orders of Chouchin Tsunagi and Sode Soriresu are recommended. The oyakodon was also very flavorful. The grilling chef may seem intimidating, but their grilling skills are top-notch.

It might be okay for a casual drink before heading home. I used it for a business dinner, but the service was not great. You can tell by how the wet towels are placed. If there's a time limit, I wish they would make it clear at the time of reservation. The food was not served piping hot either.

Around 7:30 pm on Saturday, I visited the restaurant without a reservation. Located in a back alley of Kagurazaka, I went down the stairs to find the restaurant. Luckily, there were two seats available at the counter, which had a total of 8 seats. There were also three two-seat tables and two four-seat semi-private rooms in the cozy restaurant. I ordered some yakitori along with some cold dishes like potato salad, which arrived promptly. The timing of the skewers coming out was perfect, right after finishing the cold dishes. You can place orders directly through the counter. Personally, I found the negima (chicken and green onion skewers) to be the most delicious. The grilled rice balls we ordered as a finale were just the right size and served hot. By the time we left before 9:30 pm, most of the customers had already left, so it was relatively quiet. I would definitely like to visit this place again.

Today was a dinner party that also served as a New Year's gathering! We made a reservation for a private room, which was a great point, and booked it for 17:00 since one person came all the way from Tohoku for this occasion and needed to leave early. We ordered the Aoi course (5280 yen including tax), which included: - Appetizer: Caprese with seasonal fruits - Skewers: Sashimi with wasabi, chicken gizzard, and beef - Meat and vegetable platter: Smoked chicken wings, seasonal vegetable quiche, chicken and cabbage pate - Skewers: Two types of vegetable skewers (eggplant, ginkgo nuts) - Chicken terrine - Skewers: Liver, tsukune (chicken meatball) - Main dish: Grilled rice balls, chicken soup Overall, all the dishes were decent but nothing stood out as particularly delicious. We ordered a glass of red wine to pair with the meal, but it was not worth the price, so we ended up having two highballs and an additional draft beer. The private room had a door with a gap, so voices from the counter area could be heard clearly, which might not be suitable for important discussions or conversations. The restaurant is located in Kagurazaka, and if you're looking for a casual place to enjoy average quality yakitori and wine that is not very cost-effective, it might be a good match.

When you go down the alley in Kagurazaka, there is a shop on the basement floor. It was my 7th visit. Walking through the narrow streets where only one person can pass is really fun. Liver, ponjiri, solilez, sabi sasami, shiitake... The grilled rice ball might be a hidden gem. The atmosphere is nice and the food is delicious, so I used to go on dates here often. However, I realized that it is actually most reasonable when visited with about four wine lovers.

A stylish yakitori restaurant located in a chic alley in Kagurazaka. The interior is relatively casual and not too heavy, with counter seating. I didn't take many photos, but the Hichinai chicken in the course was delicious, especially the unique and impressive tsukune skewer. The spring vegetable quiche and terrine were also tasty, with a good balance for pairing with wine. The course, which includes yakitori, meat dishes, and grilled rice balls, fills you up quite well. If you ever feel like having wine and yakitori in Kagurazaka again, I would definitely want to visit this place.

We made a reservation and visited the restaurant early in the evening. We were the first customers. The appetizer was a cold eggplant dish, which was delicious and refreshing. For the starter, we had chicken and cabbage pate seasoned with herb salt, which paired well with wine and was very tasty. We ordered a chef's selection of 5 yakitori skewers, including a rare cut called "Sot-l'y-laisse" (the oyster of the chicken). The texture was firm and juicy. We also had grilled chicken breast, gizzards, quail, giant shiitake mushrooms, and potato salad. The quail had a surprising miso-like flavor, and the giant shiitake mushrooms were indeed huge and looked delicious. The restaurant started to get crowded around 8 pm, so it's recommended to visit earlier if you prefer a quieter atmosphere. Overall, it was a great dining experience!

I visited this restaurant for the first time for a girls' night out. It is located a little off the main street in Kagurazaka. Despite being a bit hidden, the small, quaint streets leading to the restaurant create a nostalgic, maze-like atmosphere. The walk from the station is enjoyable, as every alley makes you feel like the main character in a story. We enjoyed a variety of dishes a la carte, from appetizers to yakitori, which paired well with beer and wine. The atmosphere of the restaurant and the terrine appetizer won me over right away! Every skewer we ordered was delicious. While this time we focused on drinking, I would like to try some of the rare cuts of meat on the menu next time.

Located about a 5-minute walk from Kagurazaka Station, this hidden gem of a restaurant in a back alley offers counter seating and semi-private rooms. We tried the most popular Aoi course priced at 5,280 yen. It included a refreshing fruit caprese with Shine Muscat grapes, a variety of skewers, quiche with seasonal vegetables, chicken and cabbage pate, smoked chicken wings, and more. The Western-inspired dishes were fresh and delicious, perfect when paired with wine. It was a delightful dining experience.

Located about a 5-minute walk from Kagurazaka Station, this yakitori restaurant has a narrow interior with both counter and table seating. In conclusion, the cost performance is great and I was very satisfied. It's amazing to find a place like this in such a location that is both cheap and delicious. The chicken breast with plum and shiso, as well as the water buffalo mozzarella with basil dressing salad, were particularly delicious. I will definitely visit again.

A delicious yakitori restaurant with a cozy atmosphere. The kitchen staff seemed to get along well, which was heartwarming to see. I enjoyed a Mimosa, sake, and sweet potato shochu. The drinks were just right, not too strong or weak. The yakitori selection included heart, gizzard, tail, negima, and tongue, allowing us to savor both common and rare cuts. I definitely want to go back.

It is located in a place that makes you feel like you have wandered into a foreign city. Just walking around Kagurazaka and seeing such beautiful and wonderful streets is enjoyable. We arrived at the reservation time and had to wait outside for about 10 minutes, but we were seated at a table. It is a shop that pairs yakitori with wine, and it was a lot of fun. Each skewer was full of flavor, especially the seseri (chicken neck) and sunagimo (gizzard) were fantastic. It may not compare to other high-end yakitori shops, but it is more than delicious enough! It's a place where you can enjoy delicious yakitori without being too formal. Thank you for the meal!

I knew of a yakitori restaurant in Kagurazaka that is known for pairing yakitori with wine. Today, with high expectations, I visited for the first time. I started with the chef's choice yakitori, and the first dish was chicken tenderloin. It was cooked just right and very delicious! There were three types of red wine available: Zinfandel, Cabernet Franc, and Pinot Noir. Among the three, I personally found the Zinfandel to have a very pleasant aroma and taste. I also enjoyed the "chochin" skewers included in the course. For dessert, I had ramen and oyakodon. I highly recommend the oyakodon! Thank you for the wonderful meal!

Yakitori is delicious! Other dishes are also tasty! Great selection of drinks. We ordered a course menu. The skewers were delicious as expected. Especially the omelette that came towards the end was amazing. It was like a cross between gratin and omelette, a dish I've never had before! I definitely want to go back again!

Yakitori restaurant located deep in Kagurazaka. The restaurant is in the basement of a building and is surprisingly spacious inside. I made a last-minute reservation on a weekday night. The appetizer was winter melon and minced chicken. The broth was delicious and soaked in, very tasty from the start. The chicken tenderloin with wasabi was cooked just right, with a semi-raw texture. The gizzard was crunchy, the liver had no odor and a smooth texture. The chicken neck was fatty and full of flavor. We also had heart, negima (chicken and leek skewers), obi (chicken tail), harami (skirt meat), hashi (chicken wing tip), sode (chicken thigh), tsunagi (chicken tail), and tebasaki (chicken wing) skewers, all of which were consistently delicious. For side dishes, we had chilled tomatoes and fried chicken. The tomatoes were sweet, and the fried chicken was crispy. For the finish, we had salt ramen and oyakodon (chicken and egg rice bowl). The salt ramen had a good chicken broth, and the noodles were thin like somen noodles, not bad but not outstanding. The oyakodon had flavorful chicken, which was great.

I discovered this restaurant in Kagurazaka and made a reservation for a girls' night out with my colleagues, who love wine. I later found out that the ROJI Building where this restaurant is located is known as a gourmet building with popular restaurants. We were seated in a semi-private room for four people. The restaurant has a bistro-like atmosphere and offers stylish and delicious dishes. The grilled chicken liver was large and tender, very delicious. The yakitori sauce was rich and also delicious. The restaurant not only has a great ambiance but also serves delicious yakitori. They have a wide variety of wines, which made my colleagues happy. It's a hidden gem with a stylish and trendy interior, perfect for a girls' night out or a date.
