★ Sunflower (Plain) Pudding Kyoto Tango Himalayan Milk is said to use plenty of local ingredients. With a retro and nostalgic flavor, as soon as you eat it, a gentle sweetness and richness spread throughout your mouth. You can feel its deliciousness in just one bite, as the pudding intentionally keeps the flavor and aroma of eggs subtle and the sweetness moderate. With less syrup, the creamy deliciousness of the pudding directly reaches your tongue, making your brain scream "delicious". It was incredibly delicious. Thank you for the meal. The Sunflower (Plain) Pudding I had this time was really delicious. I would definitely want to buy it again when I visit Arashiyama. Kyoto-style Lin (Kyoto pudding) is a pudding specialty store located right by the Togetsukyo Bridge in Arashiyama, Kyoto. Opened on April 16, 2021, the "Kyoto pudding" uses eggs and milk from Kyoto to create a fluffy and gentle vanilla egg pudding with a nostalgic taste. The illustration on the bottle is hand-drawn by the ukiyo-e artist Masumi Ishikawa, which is also a must-see. Please be sure to try it when you visit Arashiyama. "Kyofu Rin" is a traditional Japanese confectionery shop located in Arashiyama, Kyoto, and one of their signature items is their pudding. The pudding at "Kyofu Rin" is known for its smooth and rich texture, made with eggs and fresh cream. It has a subtle sweetness typical of Kyoto's traditional sweets, allowing the custard flavor to shine through. Topped with a generous amount of caramelized sugar, the pudding strikes a perfect balance between sweetness and nuttiness. While you can easily enjoy the pudding in one bite, using a spoon allows you to savor the fluffy texture that fills your mouth, along with its luxurious taste. The pudding from "Kyofu Rin" is a popular souvenir for those exploring Arashiyama, and can be purchased in-store or online. It is recommended to enjoy it with a cup of tea, as it pairs well with Kyoto's tea, enhancing its deliciousness even further.

A couple visited Kyoto together. Starting from the western side this time, they unexpectedly found a pudding shop and bought a pudding called "Kyofu Rin [Lemonade (Salt Lemonade)]" for 550 yen. The pudding, which comes in a bottle with a diameter of about 40mm and a height of 40mm, is divided into two layers. The top 20mm layer is a slightly firm salt lemonade jelly, while the bottom 20mm layer is a smooth and creamy pudding. The pudding emphasizes the richness of eggs and the smoothness of cream, while the jelly combines sharp saltiness with refreshing lemon flavor. The pudding also contains fruit pulp and is delicious on its own. When eaten together, it tastes like a cheesecake with a mix of creaminess, acidity, and saltiness, making it perfect for summer.

There was a pudding specialty shop right next to the Togetsukyo Bridge. I bought a set of three different kinds of pudding. The plain one is a simple pudding with a layer of strawberry on top with jam and pudding at the bottom. The matcha flavor has a layer of matcha jam on top with pudding at the bottom. It's a well-balanced pudding that is smooth and delicious. I think I still prefer the plain one! It comes in a jar, so it's not really for eating on the go, but it's great as a souvenir.

I was not as impressed as I had hoped. It had a refined taste but felt a bit lacking in flavor. The texture was also not to my liking. I also tried the matcha, but hmm...
