I wanted to eat delicious sausages, so I finally visited this shop that I had been curious about! Homemade sausages with mashed potatoes, salad, and bread for ¥1400. I love this kind of sausages. They were hot, firm, and springy. The mashed potatoes were also delicious! I was impressed by the bread, which was crispy, fluffy, and chewy. The vegetables were plentiful and satisfying. Although they had cheesecakes and other desserts, I resisted this time because I am on a diet. I will try them next time. The sausages were really juicy and tasty, so I want to try the sausage dog next time. I definitely plan to visit again.

I was tired from walking and looking for a cafe to have some tea when I found this place. The coffee was refreshing and had a nice taste. A hot coffee costs ¥500. The coffee that the staff made for me was delicious. I saw on the blackboard menu that they have a lot of bar menu items, so I want to come back at night to try them out.

Lunch with delicious homemade sausages. Delicious sausages are hard to come by. These sausages are made with finely ground meat and flavored with herbs, similar to a slightly thicker white type of frankfurter. The texture and flavor are irresistible to sausage lovers. Served with creamy mashed potatoes, a colorful salad, and French bread. Enjoyed with a Kirin Lager. Thank you for the delicious meal.

I stopped by for lunch. The place is about a 5-minute walk south from Teramachi Imadegawa. It's right across from Kyogoku Elementary School. I saw MyRebi had been there and posted about it, but it was closed both times, so third time's the charm. The modest sign and large window give it a European countryside dining room vibe. Inside, it's a very simple space, with magazines and flyers in the center. But the wood texture and beautiful furniture are too stylish. The menu includes baguette sandwiches and sausages, giving off a European home-cooked feel. I had the herb-infused sausage, mashed potatoes, and rustic bread plate lunch. It was 1,000 yen including tax. I also ordered a hot coffee set with Uff coffee, a bean I had never heard of before. I ordered the coffee first, but it was just as good as a coffee-focused cafe. I understood why it was served black. It's rich yet refreshing! The sausage was delicious, and the mashed potatoes were creamy and super tasty. The side salad was also good. The service was good, they left me alone but in a nice way, which left a good impression. If you drink alcohol, the place seems nice for solo female diners. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal♪

Heading north on Teramachi Street, THE GREEN stands a little south of Imadegawa Street in Kyoto. Located on the east side of the Kyoto Imperial Palace, this area is surrounded by residential buildings, making it quite dark at night. I found this highly rated restaurant for a late dinner option in the area. While there is no parking lot, there is a coin parking lot next door, so it is convenient for visitors arriving by car. Upon entering the restaurant, I was immediately hit by a strong kerosene smell. Two kerosene stoves were burning loudly, filling the space with the smell of kerosene. It seems like the large window facing the street cannot be opened, and the only ventilation seems to be in the kitchen. In the summer, you can leave the door open, but in winter, it may be difficult to ventilate the space. The menu is written on the wall, featuring homemade sausages as the main attraction, along with tapas-style dishes that pair well with wine. Since I visited late, some items were sold out, but I ordered a few that were available. The basil sausage with mashed potatoes was delicious, and the set salad was generous. I didn't drink alcohol that day due to driving, but I'm sure it would go well with wine. The food was reasonably priced and tasty, but I wouldn't want to eat in this environment due to the smell of kerosene and the added discomfort of cigarette smoke. It would probably be more pleasant during the summer for lunch when ventilation is possible and the atmosphere is brighter. Just for reference.

I happened to pass by the store front. It had a lovely white exterior and a stylish interior. Since it was lunchtime, I decided to have lunch here. There were several lunch menu options ranging from 800 yen. I ordered the 1000 yen homemade sausage with salad, bread, and mashed potatoes on a single plate. The homemade sausage was as delicious as I had hoped. The stylish interior and stylish lunch plate made for a pleasant time.

The atmosphere of the shop was lovely from the moment I happened to pass by, so I made up my mind to definitely go there. Finally, I was able to have lunch there ❤️ Their homemade sausage lunch set was amazing. A big sausage with mashed potatoes. It looked delicious. Each item on the plate fit perfectly like a piece of art. The sausage was juicy and balanced well with the bread and potatoes. I left feeling full! The inside of the shop was simple with minimal decorations, but it added to the nice atmosphere. There were large windows where I could watch people and cars passing by while enjoying a leisurely lunch ❤️

I visited the restaurant at night. It is located within walking distance from Kyoto Imperial Palace and Doshisha University, in the quiet area of Marutamachi-north of Teramachi Street with sparse traffic. The shop has a simple and unassuming atmosphere with warm-toned, dim lighting. Various DMs are displayed in the center of the store. The master was seen preparing behind the counter. I sat down as there were no other customers. I ordered the dinner set and a drink from the menu written on a large blackboard.
After a while, a luxurious salad plate was served unexpectedly. Each dish was well-prepared. The coffee was aromatic and flavorful, made from beans crushed in a machine. Despite the small portion, the quality of the coffee matched that of a specialty store. The beans were from "ouef coffee."
The main dish of sausage and mashed potatoes had a good aroma, although it lacked juiciness. It was still delicious and well-made. With a larger serving of coffee, this restaurant would definitely provide a high level of satisfaction.
Since the master runs the shop alone, it is best to enjoy the conversation with a loved one while leisurely savoring the food and time.

I visited THE GREEN on a hot afternoon in May. I hadn't had lunch yet, so I decided to have lunch at this casual restaurant. The interior was bright and simple, with a large blackboard menu at the back and magazines stacked in the middle of the room. There was only one man working that day. I got a seat by the window where I could see the Kyoto Imperial Palace, and waited for my food while enjoying the view. I ordered the homemade sausage lunch set, which arrived in about 10-15 minutes. It came with a large, herb-infused sausage, salad, carrot marinade, mozzarella and cucumber salad, and plenty of mashed potatoes, along with a piece of bread. The hot sausage was juicy and satisfying on its own. The mashed potatoes were fluffy and slightly sweet. The carrot marinade could use a little more flavor. The cafe was perfect for relaxing alone, with the quiet surroundings next to the Kyoto Imperial Palace.

I visited this café in Kyoto in March 2013, when spring was just beginning. The café seemed to have a somewhat unpredictable schedule, as it was closed unexpectedly on my first visit, but I finally managed to have lunch there on my second try. The simple interior featured weathered wooden tables, and hanging from the ceiling was a lamp with real water plants and goldfish inside, creating a small universe-like atmosphere that captivated me. I placed my order after admiring the unique décor. The menu was written on a blackboard on the wall, and I decided on the homemade sausage and mashed potato plate, which came with bread. I also ordered a coffee. After a short wait in the sunlit interior, my food arrived. The plate included mashed potatoes, a large sausage, and salad, with a small baguette on the side. The sausage was juicy and flavorful, and the mashed potatoes were creamy and delicious. It felt like a rustic French countryside dish, and I really enjoyed it. On a return visit in June 2013, I tried their pancake, which was smaller than expected but had a nice homemade taste with bacon and honey on top. While the portion was small and the price a bit high, the café's charm and the delicious food made it a favorite spot for me.

Located just down the street from Teramachi Imadegawa, across from Kyogoku Elementary School, this small and simple restaurant is a gem. I like to call it "Kamome Shokudo Kyoto Branch" haha. The food here is excellent. Their homemade sausages and mashed potatoes are amazing! They also have other dishes that pair well with drinks, perfect for those who enjoy a good drink. The big windows let in plenty of sunlight, making it a great spot to enjoy tea during the day or relax in the slow evening hours. This place offers a unique flow of time that is enjoyable. On Sundays, they open from 8:30 in the morning until 6 in the evening. I tried their morning menu pancakes, topped with plenty of honey, bacon, and banana, and it was delicious. It made me feel happy from the morning. Update: They were closed since July 2010, but reopened on August 28th with some changes, including closing off a big window on the north side, making the place a bit darker. However, the atmosphere is still lovely. I forgot to confirm their new opening hours, though. Further update: I checked their new opening hours. They are closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, open from 11:30 in the morning until midnight on Thursdays to Mondays. It's a bit disappointing that they no longer offer Sunday morning service, but it's great that they stay open late into the night.

I have visited this restaurant a few times because I love the interior design. However, they often have irregular opening hours or temporary closures, which can be disappointing. The food is like dishes you would find in British or Nordic cafes, and it is particularly delicious in Kyoto. My favorite is the homemade sausage plate lunch, although I have noticed that the portion size seems to be decreasing each time I visit, which is a shame. The prices remain the same, though. Overall, the other dishes are satisfying as well. The only downside is the service - regular customers at the counter are often prioritized, making it difficult to place an order. The food also takes a bit longer to arrive, but I can still tolerate that. In terms of style, this restaurant is outstanding in Kyoto.

I visited the renovated THE GREEN. When I went for lunch, there were no other customers, so I was able to relax by myself. The windows have decreased, but the large window on the west side creates a nice atmosphere without being too dark. For lunch, I had the "Homemade Sausage (basil, lemon) and Mashed Potatoes" with bread. This cost 1000 yen. Adding coffee would be an additional 300 yen. Lunch is available from 11:30 am to 3:00 pm. It's convenient that you can still have lunch even if you arrive a bit late.

I discovered a stylish cafe with a calm atmosphere and large windows in Teramachi Imadegawa in Kyoto. Located on the east side of the Kyoto Imperial Palace, across from Kyogoku Elementary School, THEGREEN is where I went with Boo. The white storefront emits a gentle orange light. There is a parking lot right across, making it very convenient. Inside, there are white walls with wooden tables and chairs. The large windows make it a great place during the day. The orange light from the bulbs creates a cozy atmosphere. There is a big menu on the wall.
- "Homemade Sausage and Mashed Potatoes" is really delicious. The herb-flavored sausage with tasty mashed potatoes topped with onion sauce is a must-try!
- "Shrimp and Potato Soup" is another favorite of mine. The shrimp in the soup tastes so gentle and delicious. The bread was also crispy and tasty! The staff is very friendly and creates a relaxing atmosphere. The food is also very delicious, so I highly recommend this cafe. Nearby, there is also a restaurant called "dish".

It's stylish and very modern. Just a short walk down a small path to the east of Imadegawa Street, right near the Imperial Palace. The food looks delicious too. It has a bistro feel to it. The interior is predominantly white with stylish magazines and photo books on display. The name "The Green" is simple yet smart, which is quite interesting in Kyoto. This time, I only had coffee at 3 o'clock. It had a slight acidity and richness, refreshing and easy to drink. It lacked the boldness of traditional coffee shops, instead it was smart. Nowadays, student culture must be stylish to survive. I heard that "honyarado" nearby has closed. It was like a setting from a western movie and the birthplace of rough student culture. The eclectic cuisine captured the hearts of young people. With the closing of honyarado, this stylish place emerged. It feels like a sign of the times. It seems like we're moving towards something smarter. You can feel this new student culture in Kyoto. However, it still retains the rough Kyoto student spirit, like this café.

The interior is stylish and has a relaxed atmosphere. I was thirsty so I ordered a beer at the counter. They brought out a stylish bottled beer. It was placed on the stylish counter with white tiles. I started feeling fancy and took some stylish photos. What should I use these photos for? When I looked at the menu for some snacks, I found boiled eggs in between the stylish menu items. I decided to order it. The boiled egg had anchovy sauce on top, making it a very stylish boiled egg. It was delicious and went well with the beer. I ordered another one. I noticed a strange creature drawn inside the shop, which turned out to be a character shaped like a boiled egg. Why? I found out that they sell coffee beans from a brand called "Oeuf Coffee," and the character is related to that. By the way, "Oeuf" means egg in French. Why name a coffee bean brand after eggs? It's confusing. With a strange feeling, I left the shop and saw a huge mural of a flying white elephant on the wall of the neighboring parking lot. Why? A mysterious and stylish afternoon. Alright, I'll go pray at Shimogoryo Shrine and head home.
