Located about a 4-minute walk from Akasaka Station towards Nogizaka. It is on the basement floor of a building just before Sugi Pharmacy. I visit this place for lunch once a week or every other week, and it never disappoints. This was my first visit for dinner. The interior, with jazz music playing, has a clean and calming atmosphere. The homey chairs and tables make it a comfortable place to be. - Firefly squid (800 yen): The carefully prepared firefly squid is fresh and delicious. It has a refined taste, similar to what you would find in high-end sushi restaurants or traditional Japanese inns. The sesame oil and salted green onions complement the dish perfectly. - Century egg salad (800 yen): Another dish that you can't stop eating. The finely chopped pickled vegetables add a nice texture, and the gentle flavor of the century egg enhances the dish beautifully. The seasoning is delicate and well-balanced. - Black vinegar sweet and sour pork (1500 yen): A large piece of pork, about the size of a fist, with a sweet and sour sauce that is delicious. While some parts are juicy, others are a bit dry. - Tan-tan noodles (1100 yen): Consistently delicious! Tan-tan noodles are a must-have. It provides a fiery burst of energy at the end, leaving you completely satisfied.

First Visit 202309 (No.4783) 1. Purpose of Visit - After reading a review of "Arupakaan" by Mairebi, I was interested in visiting the restaurant. 2. Restaurant Information - Genre on Tabelog: Dan Dan noodles, Ramen, Izakaya - Opened in August 2020 - The restaurant offers only Dan Dan noodles, alcohol, and appetizers at the "Uzumaki Annex Chef's Table," limited to one group per day (4 people) - "Uzumaki" is run by Chef Tetsuya Yanaginuma, who used to work at the legendary restaurant "Ronfuufon" in Shirokane, a Michelin-starred restaurant - Business hours: 11:30-14:30, 17:30-21:30 - Closed on Sundays and holidays - Seating capacity: 22 seats - An interesting style where you have to take your own disposable chopsticks before seating (laughs) 3. Crowdedness and Atmosphere on the Day of Visit - Visited around 12:20 on the weekend with no other customers - Located underground, creating a calm atmosphere 4. Service - Followed the manual 5. Order Items - Dan Dan noodles: 1,100 yen - A small dish of meatballs and cucumbers was served first, and the noodles were served in about 8-9 minutes after ordering - Toppings included meat miso, two types of green onions, and bok choy - The noodles were medium thin and straight, served piping hot - The soup, blended with two types of ground sesame, was rich yet light, and very delicious 6. Overall - Worried about long lines, but the restaurant was empty - Even the popular "Chinese cuisine Kaotan," which usually has lines outside during lunchtime on weekdays, had no customers waiting - It seems like weekends are better for exploring dining options in Akasaka (bitter smile) - Thank you for the meal.

I arrived at the restaurant at 11:35 am on a regular day. It was already about 70% full just 5 minutes after opening. Impressive. Upon entering the restaurant, I was given chopsticks, a packet of wet towels, and a paper apron, and was directed to my designated seat. The tea was strong and delicious. I received a small dish of meatballs before my ramen arrived. I thought about waiting to eat it with the ramen, but it looked so delicious that I couldn't resist taking a bite. It was served with cucumbers, which were refreshing and tasty. When my ramen arrived, it looked very appetizing. The presentation was beautiful, with various ingredients carefully arranged. The soup even had a layer of foam on top. The first sip revealed a rich and slightly spicy broth. The thin straight noodles paired well with the soup. The toppings, such as green onions and ground meat, were well-balanced and kept the dish interesting. The addition of spinach or Chinese cabbage refreshed my palate. This was a bowl of ramen that only got better as I ate it. It reminded me of the delicious tantanmen I had in Akasaka. After finishing my meal, I felt refreshed and satisfied. This is the true pleasure of dining. As I looked at the menu, I noticed they also served cold tantanmen, which seemed like a choice for connoisseurs. I paid with a smile as I left. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

I personally like this place for tantanmen in Akasaka. The sesame sauce with a hint of acidity in the soup is addictive. It's delicious every time I come. The soup is quite rich, so I wish the noodles were a bit firmer or even thicker. The small dish that comes as an appetizer is always delicious, making it a wonderful restaurant. #Akasaka lunch #tandanmen #ramen #delicious #foodie #chinesefood #chineserestaurant #Akasaka

I visited around 1:50 PM on a weekday and was able to enter without waiting in line. The restaurant was about half full. I ordered the tantanmen with soup, but there was also a soupless option available. The complimentary meatball appetizer was delicious. I enjoyed both dishes and would like to try the soupless version on my next visit.

Slightly fragrant with white sesame, mildly spicy tantan soup. This post serves as a memo with my personal rating and a brief comment to remember the deliciousness of the restaurant I visited. Please note that the rating is subjective and may be influenced by mood and physical condition.

I visited the same store because I heard they have a rich and green tantanmen. I chose the soupless tantanmen because that's my preference. The store owner was working alone, so it took some time for the dish to come out, but when it did, the tantanmen was an interesting dish. It had a lot of vegetables and chicken, and the presentation was different from the usual tantanmen, but other than that, it was quite traditional. It was a delicious tantanmen. It's a shame that the operation could be better.

I encountered the best tantanmen I have ever had! The spiciness and numbing sensation are fixed (not customizable from 1 to 5), but both have a perfect punch. The minced meat with plenty of Sichuan pepper allows for enjoyable flavor changes as it melts into the soup. The transition from creamy spiciness to sharp numbing is excellent. I'm not a fan of thick soup, so the light texture is a plus. The thin, slightly curly noodles pair well with the soup. The meatballs on the side and barley tea are also delicious.

Visited on Wednesday at 1:30 pm, no wait, and the restaurant was about 70-80% full. The customer base was mostly female. I ordered tantanmen. There were vinegar and chili oil on the table. It took about 15 minutes for the dish to be served. During that time, a small dish of meatballs and boiled radish with sweet and spicy sauce was brought to the table. The tantanmen had a rich and spicy soup that coated the noodles well and was delicious. The only downside was that there was no cell phone reception, so it was a bit boring without anything to do.

■Shop Information When it comes to Akasaka, it's a fierce battleground for tantanmen. Today, I came to "Uzu Dan" The nighttime menu seems to be quite extensive as well. I picked up my chopsticks and took a seat (the instruction to do so was in a quiet voice, so I asked the owner again and received a slightly irritated response). The explanation of the dishes was quite bland. Same with the other customers. I decided to order the tantanmen and steamed chicken. ■What I Ate ▶︎Mushidori Negitare ¥800 ▶︎Tantanmen ¥1100 The steamed chicken was tender and delicious. The green onion sauce was also well-balanced. High level of quality. The tantanmen had a sesame base, but with a strong numbing sensation of Sichuan pepper. It also had the umami of minced meat, very tasty. Personally, I like this tantanmen. If the owner's customer service was more service-oriented, I believe this shop would be even more popular. If you're not too concerned about customer service, definitely give it a try! When I entered the restaurant, the manager greeted me with "Please help yourself to the chopsticks first!" There were only two Swiss tourists in the restaurant. The atmosphere was calm and homey. The tantanmen had a rich and creamy soup with a nice sesame flavor. The noodles were slightly firm, just the way I like it. The toppings of vegetables and meat with a sprinkle of Sichuan pepper were delicious. I mixed everything well before eating and finished every last drop of the soup. It was truly delicious. I heard they also have cold noodles, so I'll have to try that next time.

Night at Uzutan. Actually, it was my first time going at night. I had high expectations for the Chinese appetizers to go with my drinks. It was a luxurious experience as the restaurant was almost empty due to heavy rain. I started with Akahoshi sake. The menu was handwritten on a blackboard at a slant on the counter. I decided on the chef's selection of 3 dishes. Octopus and steamed chicken. Delicious! Sweet and sour pork that tasted like meatballs. Spicy gizzard and chili pepper. Goes well with beer. Crispy fried white shrimp. A fragrant snack. We decided on white wine, and the staff recommended a wine from Kyoeido, which we immediately chose. Stir-fried asparagus and green beans. We tried various dishes and ended with a light ramen instead of spicy tantan noodles. A simple soy sauce ramen. Perfect for finishing off the meal. Thin noodles and a light soy sauce-flavored soup. So satisfying. Night at Uzutan is also great. The owner is still as quiet as ever... haha. Thank you for the meal.

Dan dan noodles and rice for 1,200 yen. Two days in a row, I had the dan dan noodle soup. It starts off mild but as you eat, the punch of Sichuan peppercorns comes through. It's addicting! The rice is a must-have! The dry dan dan noodles also look delicious, so I'll have to try them next time. According to the person who recommended this place, the seasonal limited edition cold noodles are amazing. I can't wait, maybe next month? I'm looking forward to it too much. Thank you for the delicious meal!

I visited this place wanting to eat tantanmen while drinking alcohol. It was past 5:30 PM and there were no other customers. The chef was sleeping at the counter. It's a pretty quirky place. The wine was also of good quality. The appetizers were authentic as well. I had high expectations for the soupless tantanmen. The presentation was innovative and surprising, with plenty of ingredients. Once mixed well, it tasted great. You really need to mix it well. The amount of chicken meat was also impressive. I was surprised by the bill, which exceeded 4000 yen for 2 glasses of wine, an appetizer set, and the tantanmen.

☆The taste was really delicious!! It had peanuts in it, giving it a rich flavor! Since it's spring, instead of spinach, there were plenty of nanohana flowers in it, which were delicious. (It was great to dip them in the broth)☆The atmosphere was not like a typical Chinese restaurant, it had a calm atmosphere☆The cost was around 1,100 yen. It came with a small side dish at the beginning, which was also delicious~

Today I visited this restaurant. Dan dan noodles 1100 yen, rice 100 yen. First, a small appetizer like meatballs came out. Then came the dan dan noodles. The dan dan noodles were not spicy, and the noodles were a bit soft. It seems like there are more non-spicy dan dan noodles these days. I was expecting something spicy, but this was also good. However, I didn't think the rice was necessary with these dan dan noodles.

This is a Chinese restaurant located in a mixed-use building B1, a 2-3 minute walk from Tokyo Metro Akasaka Station towards Nogizaka. Originally, this restaurant was located near Akasaka Mitsuke, close to Sotobori Street, but it moved here a few years ago and was renovated to offer delicious appetizers and dan dan noodles in the evening. In July 2022, I started working in this area again and decided to revisit this restaurant that I have always liked. This review is from a recent visit after work. I entered the restaurant around 8 pm on a weekday. There are several table seats and counter seats, making it comfortable for solo diners. There were a couple of other customers enjoying Chinese dishes and drinks for the evening. [Order Details] - Sapporo Lager Medium Bottle (700 yen) - Assorted 3 dishes (900 yen) After work, I immediately ordered a beer. The price was a bit high, but it was understandable. Since there was no appetizer, I ordered the assorted dish. It was surprisingly high quality. It included meatballs, shredded carrots with shrimp, century egg with tofu, and steamed chicken with scallions. Each dish had a substantial portion and was delicious. I particularly liked the meatballs and century egg with tofu. They went perfectly well with the drinks. - Shaoxing wine (850 yen) After finishing the beer quickly, I switched to Shaoxing wine. Chinese wine goes well with Chinese cuisine. I should have ordered Shaoxing wine from the beginning. - Dan dan noodles (1100 yen) For the finale, I ordered their specialty dan dan noodles. The sesame flavor was rich, and the presentation with vegetables was beautiful. It reminded me of the swirling dan dan noodles from my memory. The rich sesame flavor and spicy broth were excellent. The noodles were firm straight noodles, and the texture and how they soaked up the soup were perfect. Among the popular Chinese restaurants in this area like Kisshurin and Takekuma, this was my favorite. The quality of the appetizers surprised me, and I would like to try more dishes with friends next time. The drink prices are a bit high, but the cozy atmosphere and versatility make it a great place for various occasions. I plan to visit regularly in the future. Thank you for the meal.

Had curry at a Dan Dan noodle shop. I've had mini curry at night before, but this was my first time having it for lunch. The manager even asked me if it was my first time. The curry had a strong spice but a gentle flavor. Comes with wonton soup, a good deal. #UzuDan #Curry #CurryLovers #AkasakaLunch #AkasakaGourmet

A shop where you can enjoy strong sesame-flavored tantanmen. They also serve alcohol at night, with a variety of appetizers available. The tantanmen has chopped leeks that refresh your mouth nicely, and although it's not spicy, the rich soup with sesame keeps you satisfied. The rurouhan is served with chilled meat, a unique style that I tried for the first time.

This shop mainly serves tantanmen, but their chicken curry is also quite delicious! The curry has a coarse ground spice and nutty texture when you savor and chew it. It has a good balance of spiciness and umami flavor. The curry is packed with plenty of chicken. It's a curry that makes you want to eat it again! The set meal also comes with a side dish and chicken broth soup, both of which are tasty. The soup is filled with ingredients like wontons. It was a very satisfying lunch!! Thank you for the meal.

I had delicious tantanmen noodles. It was my first visit. I arrived just before the 11:30 opening time, so I was the first customer. The restaurant is a bit of a distance from Akasaka Station, so it seems like the customer flow starts a bit slow. I ordered the tantanmen without hesitation. I also added the lu rou fan. The tantanmen came with steamed cabbage and half a meatball. The tantanmen had a lot of vegetables and was very tasty.
