I visited the restaurant on September 10, 2023, before 12:00 pm. It was a long time since my last visit. I purchased a meal ticket from the ticket machine. I chose soy sauce flavor with chicken, pork, and clams. The restaurant is not very large, but there was one customer ahead of me, so I sat at the end of the counter and handed over my meal ticket. However, a few more customers arrived later, and by the time I left, the restaurant was full. The soup, despite being made with chicken and pork, had a light taste. The thick homemade noodles had a great texture and were delicious. The chashu pork topping was tastier than the clam topping! It had a good thickness to it.

I went there for the first time. The ramen was very gentle on the body, and I would love to eat it every day. The soup had a delicious taste of clams and seafood, and I even finished the whole bowl. I also enjoyed changing the flavor with the special spices on the table. It was great that you could order just one piece of fried chicken. I was able to enjoy my meal in a calm atmosphere at the counter seat, focusing on the ramen!

I went for lunch on a regular day. The restaurant has a small seating capacity, only accommodating about 10 people at a time. If there is a wait, it can be quite long. I had to wait about 20 minutes for a table when there were already 2 people waiting ahead of me. I ordered the mixed noodles, which came with powdered cheese for flavoring and a side of mini rice. The taste was honestly nothing out of the ordinary, just decently delicious. I don't think I would go back for a second time.

It has a delicious taste that is gentle on the body. First, choose between salt or soy sauce. I decided on "thanks to seafood" and chose the salt sauce: it is based on salt water infused with kombu and clams, without using any chemical seasonings. The broth is made from chicken and seafood, using hamaguri clam and scallop. It was delicious.

I entered the restaurant around 9 PM and ordered the Flying Dragon Mazesoba for the first time. I also got extra rice and topping of powdered cheese. The Mazesoba itself was just okay. It was a bit salty and lacked depth in flavor. I got used to it as I kept eating, but initially, it wasn't very impressive. I also felt like the pickled vegetables (Zaasai) weren't necessary, but that's just personal preference. However, the tender chashu pork was delicious, including the seasoning, and the extra rice was surprisingly more enjoyable than the Mazesoba. Overall, it was a decent meal.

Near Kawaramachi Maruta-cho, I ordered the "Thank you" ramen with chicken, pork, and clams for 980 yen. It came with homemade thin noodles. I also added 2 pieces of soy sauce fried chicken and rice for 300 yen. The soup was a blend of carefully selected chicken, pork, and seafood, but I felt that the individual flavors didn't stand out as much as I had hoped.

I purchased a meal ticket at the ticket machine in the restaurant. I chose the Chuka Soba, which completes all the menu options. It only took a few minutes for the meal to be served. The soup had a mild soy sauce flavor with a hint of dashi, making it easy to eat. I was impressed by the generous amount of noodles. The chashu was also delicious, with two different kinds, and very thick slices of meat. I thoroughly enjoyed the classic and delicious Chuka Soba and finished every last bit!

I visited "Raamen Hitaki" in Kawaramachi Maruta-cho after a long time. Due to the recent heat and sudden heavy rain, I decided to skip the hot ramen this time. Instead, I tried their summer limited cold ramen dish "Bow to the Sea 2022 ver.". The seafood broth with the depth of clams matched perfectly with the saltiness. The toppings included seared pork belly, clams, and bamboo shoots. It was really good. The fact that the soup is free of chemical seasonings and animal products, yet still reaches this level of perfection, is truly impressive. I visited in the early afternoon on a regular day and was able to enter without any wait. I ordered the seafood shio ramen. The soup was a clear seafood broth with yuzu as a nice accent. The toppings included four types of shellfish, all of which were large and satisfying. The building has maintained its characteristics since the days of Ichigendo, but the air conditioning is not very effective, making it a bit uncomfortable in the summer.

On this day, I was working in the area all day with a one-hour lunch break. I decided to visit "Ramen Taiei," a place I hadn't been to in a while, but they were unexpectedly closed. So, I changed my plans and visited another place instead. There were no special limited menu items that day. I chose the "Chicken, Pork, and Clam Thank You" in chicken and pork broth with salt, and opted for the homemade white noodles (known as "paimen"). The broth was light but had a rich umami flavor, and the aromatic oil added a unique garlicky taste. The dish was topped with large honbinosu and mussel shells, with chopped leeks on top. The noodles had a chewy texture and were enjoyable. Overall, the meal was satisfying, and the presence of various shrine amulets in the restaurant added to the ambiance.

When I opened the restaurant, I couldn't decide between salt or soy sauce for the chicken, pork, and clams, but I ended up choosing salt. The clams were huge, and the fried chicken was also big and piping hot. The flavors all came together nicely. I got a bit of a stomach ache from eating too much. Next time, I'll try the soy sauce. Also, be careful because the entrance is a bit low. Even I, at 170 centimeters, hit my head. Be cautious!

Today, I visited "Raamen Tobi Taki" in Jingumae, which was featured in a certain magazine. Before entering the restaurant, be careful of your head as the ceiling is low. I quickly ordered the "Seafood Blessings (salt, extra noodles)" and a mysterious "Tobi Taki Rice Bowl". You have to get your own water as it's self-service. Despite the intimidating name, the restaurant is run by two friendly sisters. Starting with the soup, it has a strong clam flavor, although the seasoning could be a bit stronger. The noodles are medium-thin straight noodles. The toppings include green onions, mussels, scallops, clams, and some kind of shellfish, making it a luxurious treat for seafood lovers. The Tobi Taki Rice Bowl of the day was beef, with beef, green onions, chopped onions, and half a boiled egg on top. Delicious. Thank you for the meal.

It was a ramen shop that used clams. It had 2 hamaguri clams, 1 scallop, and 1 mussel. You could choose between salt and soy sauce flavors, and I chose the recommended salt ramen. It was delicious. But was there something missing?! It wasn't like I wanted to eat it again.

In Kyoto, after the Tako gathering year-end party at "YURURI" in Jingu Marutamachi, we headed to "Raamen Hiryu" located five doors down from "YURURI." We ordered the "Hiryu Ramen" in a half portion. The soy sauce-flavored soup with plenty of umami from seafood broth was delicious. The medium-thin noodles were firm and easy to slurp, making it a perfect way to end the meal. It was so delicious! I was completely satisfied! I ordered the fish and shellfish rice bowl and it arrived in about 10 minutes. The soup was tasty at first, but it had a very unique flavor with a strong taste of sansho pepper. I couldn't taste the shellfish flavor. I think this dish is quite divisive in terms of preference. If you don't like sansho pepper, I recommend trying a different menu item.

Today, I visited a ramen shop in Kyoto during my work break for the second time. The shop had various signs outside, including one for a limited edition dish called "Sanma no Kimochi." I quickly entered, sat down, and ordered the special dish. I also added a set with two pieces of fried chicken and rice. The shop was quite small, but the front door was open for good ventilation. The dish arrived with grilled Sanma fish on top, along with vinegar, mitsuba leaves, and red turnip for garnish. The soup and noodles reminded me of a rich soba flavor. The grilled Sanma was boneless and easy to eat, but lacked the authentic texture of real grilled fish. The dish also included pork chashu, which was a nice addition. Overall, I enjoyed the seasonal limited edition menu, and the fried chicken was crispy and flavorful.

I ordered a menu item I had not tried before called "Chicken, Pork, and Clam Thank You" which is a white broth-based ramen with soy sauce flavor, and I chose homemade white noodles. The dish was served quickly and had a strong visual impact, with clams overflowing from the bowl. It was a luxurious ramen with three slices of chashu pork. The noodles were very thick, making a big impression. The soup was rich and the soy sauce flavor was a bit strong, but I managed to finish it all.

I didn't realize this kind of shop had opened. I was curious, so I stopped by. It's called Raamen Hiryu. I haven't been to this location since I visited Ichikendo in January 2009. It opened on May 22, 2021! I ordered the seafood ramen, with a strong salt base and a sharp salt sauce! The firm homemade noodles go well with it.
