On a regular day, I visited this restaurant to enjoy a course meal featuring traditional Japanese cuisine. The interior has a retro atmosphere, as if it was renovated from a house. On this day, there seemed to be many foreign customers. The prices were not too high, offering a sense of stability. I recommend this restaurant for those looking to enjoy Japanese cuisine in a calm atmosphere in Kagurazaka.

A hidden gem tucked away behind Zenkoku-ji in Kagurazaka, this restaurant exudes a Taisho-era romantic atmosphere with many paintings by the renowned artist Takehisa Yumeji adorning the walls. The staff's attentive service and the timing of the kaiseki dishes being served create a relaxing dining experience. It's a great place to enjoy leisurely conversations with good company and savor delicious food.

The restaurant was very welcoming, with a cozy atmosphere in a renovated house. The seating was limited but the decor was charming. The staff was attentive and responsive to our requests, serving the food at a good pace. The floor staff was also quick to notice when we needed drinks and took our orders promptly. The variety of dishes served in small portions was satisfying, leaving us full by the end of the meal. The miso soup, made with red miso, was a standout. It was delicious and a perfect way to end the meal. Thank you for the wonderful dining experience! ✨️

This is a renovated traditional Japanese house turned into a cozy restaurant where you can feel the ambiance of the Taisho era. They have private rooms available, providing a calm atmosphere for enjoying your meal. The restaurant offers innovative "high-class" Japanese cuisine using fresh ingredients. Reservations are required, and they only offer set course meals. The dishes, made with seasonal ingredients, are not only visually appealing but also delicious. They have a wide selection of drinks including sake, shochu, and wine. I had a wonderful dining experience with sophisticated presentation and delicious flavors. Unfortunately, I couldn't take photos as it was a business dinner.

I entered the side street of Bishamonten and turned right into Ishikawa-san's alley. The narrow facade exudes a retro charm. The service, food, atmosphere, and cleanliness were all top-notch and well worth the price. I had a truly exceptional experience. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

The atmosphere of the restaurant was like a Taisho romantic setting, with private rooms adding to the nice ambiance. The dishes served one by one were beautifully presented in each dish, vibrant and visually appealing. The finale of rice cooked in a clay pot was delicious, and it was a nice touch to be able to take the leftovers as rice balls as a souvenir.

I was led to a private room, and the atmosphere of the restaurant as well as the staff were all very calm, giving off a lovely Taisho romantic vibe. The dishes, which allowed me to feel the season, were not only beautiful to look at but also delicious in every way. On this day, my friends celebrated my birthday, but I think this restaurant is also suitable for other celebrations or gatherings. ☺️

I made a reservation for a private room at this restaurant, which only offers set courses. The interior exudes a Taisho Roman atmosphere from the entrance, with a narrow layout leading us to a cozy private room on the second floor corner. The whole place, from the ceiling to the restroom, is charmingly designed in a Taisho Roman style that would appeal to those who appreciate it. The course menu mainly consists of seafood dishes, reflecting the flavors of spring with items like firefly squid, fava beans, rapeseed blossoms, bamboo shoots, and Spanish mackerel. While all the dishes were delicious, the highlight was the final course of clay pot rice (with mussels and seaweed) - the firm rice with seaweed and chewy mussels was a favorite. If you're too full, you can have the leftovers made into onigiri to take home. The kitchen is located on the first floor, and since it's a set course, the staff may come at inconvenient times to serve the dishes, but the special ambiance of this restaurant makes it worth it.

The atmosphere of the restaurant had a Taisho Roman feel and the private rooms had a nice Japanese style ambiance. Personally, I found the seasoning a bit light, so next time I'd like to ask for recommendations on drinks that would go well with it. Overall, I was satisfied with the service.

The restaurant in Kagurazaka has a traditional Japanese atmosphere. The 2nd and 3rd floors have private rooms, perfect for a cozy dining experience. However, it can be a bit stressful as the door needs to be closed each time it is opened to serve food (even though it is closed each time). They use a lot of seasonal ingredients and the dishes are beautifully presented, so I was very satisfied with the dining experience.

I was amazed by the shop inspired by Takehisa Yumeji. Everything from the interior to the tableware was lovely. Not only the taste of the dishes, but also the presentation was excellent. I always thought Kagurazaka was full of high-end restaurants, but I learned that there are also places with good value for money. I definitely want to go back here. But it seems to be popular and difficult to make a reservation.

Today, I had an end-of-year dinner with my colleagues at a restaurant in Kagurazaka. The restaurant is a renovated old Japanese house located in a back alley of Kagurazaka, with a modern interior. The private room felt a bit cramped for four people. The food was carefully prepared, with each dish being decent. The menu included dishes such as ankimo for the appetizer, an assorted plate for the appetizer, a soup with minced horse mackerel, sashimi with flounder and red sea bream, grilled dishes, simmered dishes, a hot pot, and dessert. They even made rice balls with the leftover rice from the hot pot at the end. The timing of serving the food and drinks was a bit slow, perhaps due to the private room or lack of staff. Despite that, we had a great time in the stylish private room with my colleagues. Thank you for the meal.

Four of us visited the restaurant and reserved the Yumeji course for 12,100 yen. The dishes were beautifully presented and delicious. The staff recommended sake and shochu that paired well with the food, and I ended up drinking too much. I remember leaving the restaurant, but I don't remember how I got home. I'll eat the rice ball from the souvenir clay pot and do my best today too.

I went to Kagurazaka Yumeji located behind Zengokoji Temple in Kagurazaka. I was taken there by a senior colleague from work. We were shown to a private room on the second floor. We had the Kagura course meal, which was beautifully presented and delicious. We were recommended sake that paired well with the food and ended up drinking too much. Let's keep it a secret that I found the stairs on the way down a bit scary. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

The restaurant, named after the painter and poet Yumeji Takehisa, has a store filled with Taisho Romantic atmosphere. Upon entering, the scent of incense makes you feel like you have traveled back in time. There are many Yumeji's paintings displayed inside, allowing you to immerse yourself in his artwork. As for the taste, each dish served one by one has its own unique flavor, showing the meticulousness and harmony of the cuisine. For drinks, I started with a beer and then switched to sake, enjoying a glass of Daiginjo Hakurakusei. It was a great combination, matching the atmosphere of the restaurant, and both the drinks and the food were delicious. Thank you for the meal. I would love to visit again.

The restaurant does not offer warm sake, and there are no menu options for alcohol. The layout allows for voices from other tables to be easily heard. The interior is surrounded by antique furniture. The dishes are intricately designed and delicious. The atmosphere is excellent, and both the food and service are top-notch.

Last night, I had a gathering with my seniors and juniors. It has been a long time since we gathered like this, between the 5th and 6th waves of the pandemic, since our year-end party last year. We met at a restaurant called "Sosai Washoku Shimizu" in Kagurazaka. It's located in a back alley near Bishamonten. When we were heading to the restaurant, my junior was looking puzzled at his phone at the entrance of the alley. When we met, he said, "The map shows that the restaurant should be around here, but I can't find it." That's right. The restaurant changed its name to "Kagurazaka Yumeji" this month (I made the reservation last month). The private room we were led to was a 4-person sunken kotatsu seat, so it didn't feel very spacious, but it was rather cozy. When we asked, we found out that the owner had become independent. The name seems to match the Taisho Romance-style interior, but personally, I found the naming a bit disappointing, as it feels like it's targeting young women. However, the "Kagura Course" that we reserved was delicious, with each dish carefully prepared, served in elaborate dishes with attentive service. We had a very enjoyable evening and the restaurant left a good impression, making us want to visit again.

I went to Shimizu in Kagurazaka, which is a kaiseki restaurant. My wife was really into the town that appeared in Demon Slayer, so I made a reservation at a restaurant that is set in the same Taisho romantic era. When it was time for our reservation, the sign on the entrance still said "preparing" instead of "open", which made me worry. But we decided to go in anyway, and it turned out that they had just finished filming a TV show a few minutes ago. I felt lucky to have reserved such a famous restaurant! When I made the reservation, the second-floor private room where you can enjoy the Taisho romantic atmosphere was fully booked, so we had to settle for a table on the first floor. But due to the filming, the staff hadn't finished cleaning up the first floor, so surprisingly, we were guided to the second-floor private room. The dishes that came out were all beautifully arranged with colors and placements that made me wonder if this was an art museum. Personally, I really enjoyed the grilled trout, where I could taste the flavor of the malt. There was one dish with a plant (branch?) in the center that left me speechless, but all the ingredients around the branch were delicious. I guess when you eat things you don't usually have in your daily life, they taste even better. Highlights: - Recommended for those who want to enjoy not only the taste but also the presentation - The atmosphere of the restaurant is great, and it has a hidden gem vibe, making it a great place for a date.

I was looking for a nice restaurant to celebrate my father's 60th birthday, and I found this place. The deciding factors were the private rooms and the romantic Taisho era atmosphere, as well as the fact that they provide a special plate for celebrations. We enjoyed a luxurious autumn/winter full course meal made with seasonal ingredients. Each dish showed a strong dedication to quality and creativity. We were completely satisfied! I would love to visit such stylish restaurants regularly. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

I visited for the first time on a Sunday night. I used the private room on the second floor, which had a slightly retro atmosphere that I liked. The courses were very autumn-themed and visually beautiful. All the dishes were delicious, and the final mixed rice dish was especially tasty, but I couldn't finish it and took it home as a souvenir. There was a wide variety of sake, especially Japanese sake, which was also enjoyable.
