黄色のたぬき
This is a chocolate shop located near Gion in Bentencho. Founded in 1919 by Mary Delluc on 126 Rue Royale in Brussels, it is the first branch of "Mary Delluc" in Japan, which has held the title of purveyor to the Belgian royal family since 1942 (the oldest chocolate shop to do so). They offer a variety of chocolates imported directly from Belgium, and their cafe serves afternoon tea, lunch, and chocolate and cakes with drinks. The shop opened in February 2019. They have 9 stores in Belgium, 1 in Saudi Arabia, and branches in Kyoto Gion, Hotel New Otani, Ariake Garden, Takashimaya Takasaki, and Hilton Plaza in Japan. The imports are handled by Atchero Co., Ltd. It is about 11-12 minutes from Gion Shijo Station. Cross the Gion intersection in front of Yasaka Shrine, turn right, turn left at the Higashiyama Yasui intersection, and turn right on Shimokawara Street. The shop is a renovated traditional Kyoto townhouse. I visited in the afternoon. The shop is two stories high with a wide selection of beautifully packaged chocolates. They offer Bonbon Chocolates, assorted chocolates, and chocolates. The Bonbon Chocolate assortment starts from a pack of 4, and individual pieces can also be purchased. The elderly lady who served us was lovely, friendly, and helpful. She made me feel like buying a lot of things. The items I purchased are as follows (prices include tax). ● Mini boite glamour bleue (6 pieces) (3,240 yen) A box of 6 Bonbon Chocolates. The packaging with a shiny blue box and ribbon was lovely. Each chocolate was large and satisfying to eat. ・ My Lady 2022 (Lady) Dark Chocolate Mousse 48% Dark Chocolate ・ Mademoiselle (Mademoiselle) Sea Salt Caramel Milk Chocolate ・ Emmanuel (Emmanuel) Caramel Dark Chocolate ・ Majesté (Majesty) Hazelnut Paste Milk Chocolate ・ Léopold 2022 (Leopold) Almond Praline Dark Chocolate ・ Gabriel (Gabriel) Vanilla Cream Walnut, White Chocolate Shelf life is about 2 months at room temperature.
