- Order Summary: Morning plate x2 (2,000 yen each including tax) Rating: △
- Comments: Visited for breakfast on a holiday at 9 am. The restaurant seemed to be located inside a hotel and was already full of guests who were staying there. The staff seemed confused, and even though we had made a reservation, we were told that only counter seats were available. Eventually, a table opened up, but the staff seemed flustered, so we quickly took our seats to avoid causing any inconvenience. However, even after sitting down for 5 minutes, we were not given any water or the chance to place our order. It took 30 minutes from the time we entered the restaurant until our food was served. The service was lacking, especially considering the stylish ambiance of the place.
- Morning Plate x2 (2,000 yen each including tax) Rating: △
The morning menu only had one option available. The hotel's website had mentioned that we could choose our bread from Yoshida Pan, but the restaurant specified a set menu. It seemed like this was only for hotel guests. We were hoping for more variety, so this was disappointing. The plate included a main dish, bread, soup, yogurt, and a drink.
[Main Dish]
The main plate consisted of sautéed bacon, grilled sausage, scrambled eggs, and grilled vegetables. The vegetables looked appetizing but were already cold, losing their freshness. The vegetables included bamboo shoots, bell peppers, pumpkin, snow peas, baby corn, and zucchini, served with lettuce and watercress. The dressing had a nice acidity with hints of miso or barley, which was tasty.
[Soup: Minestrone]
The soup was packed with eggplant, lotus root, turnip, carrot, watercress, bacon, and various vegetables. It had a generous amount of vegetables in a cup, with a pleasant balance of tomato's acidity and sweetness.
[Bread]
The daily bread was a hard type with a crispy crust and chewy interior. It was served with margarine and apricot jam, offering a delicious wheat flavor. The bread was from Yoshida Pan Factory.
[Yogurt]
The plain yogurt had no added sweetness, paired with fresh strawberries and compote for a light touch of sweetness, with cereal at the bottom for added texture.
[Drink 1: Chai]
Served in a stylish glass cup, the chai had a lovely cinnamon and milk aroma, with a subtle sweetness. Unfortunately, it arrived cold, possibly due to not warming the cup or slow service.
[Drink 2: Latte]
The latte was beautifully presented with latte art, offering a good balance of coffee bitterness and milk sweetness. However, like the chai, it was also served cold, which was disappointing considering that lattes are a specialty of the place.
