I enjoyed it while overlooking the Kamo River. The location is great when it's not crowded, but too many people can take away from the experience. It's tough to find the off-season in Kyoto since it's always busy.

Today, I visited the Starbucks Coffee Kyoto Sanjo Ohashi store in Nakagyo-ku, Kyoto. It's my first time at Starbucks. I often see it in everyone's posts, so I thought I'd give it a try. And one of the summer traditions in Kyoto is enjoying a meal while cooling off in the evening on a "Noryo Yuka" set up along the river or on the river itself. Starbucks Kyoto Sanjo Ohashi store also offers a Noryo Yuka, where you can experience it by just paying for your drink. Let's go inside the store. It seems that if you want to sit on the Noryo Yuka, you need to secure a seat in advance. I called out to the staff in charge of the Noryo Yuka, and luckily there was a seat available. I listened to the instructions and secured my seat. The rules include a one-hour time limit and occasionally hawks may approach due to food, among other things. I went there around 7 pm on a regular day! I thought it would be really crowded, but there were a few empty tables and I could sit down. Moreover, I arrived at a beautiful time with the sunset. It was so beautiful!! They told me that seat changes are not allowed and there is a one-hour limit, so it's really a matter of luck whether you can sit by the river or not. I could enjoy the riverbed with just the cost of drinks, which was really great! Around 8 pm, the bugs increase a lot, so it seems like around 7 pm is the best time to go.

It was a Sunday at 4 pm, and I had to wait for about 15 minutes before getting in. I ordered a Tall Sweet Milk Coffee for 550 yen. The humidity in May was manageable, and the weather on that day was perfect for relaxing. If you're going to Starbucks, I highly recommend taking the time to visit this location.

Visited during Golden Week. The riverside seating area can be used for up to 1 hour and has a nice breeze. It feels special to relax there. It opens at 11:30, so I arrived at 11:15 and there were already 3 groups waiting. It's a calm and relaxing atmosphere. I revisited around 3 pm and waited for about 5 minutes. Surprisingly, it wasn't too long of a wait. The coffee tasted even better than usual.

Oh, the Melon of Melon Frappuccino tastes more like melon than melon itself. Since the inside was full, I ordered another coffee (108 yen including tax) this time hot, and enjoyed it sitting closer to the river on the riverbank. As the evening approached and the temperature dropped, the hot coffee was very comforting. I sipped on the dark roasted coffee while watching the couples along the Kamo River at dusk. There is a Starbucks located on the north side of the west side of Sanjo Ohashi. I stopped by for a quick break to consider my sightseeing plans and recharge. As expected, there was a line, so I chose an Iced Caramel Macchiato V and checked for a seat with a power outlet, but unfortunately there wasn't one available. I decided to get my drink to go and paid with my IC card at the reduced tax rate. The wait for my order was as expected, but I was surprised to see that there weren't many customers dining in. In just 8 minutes, I received my cup and headed to a bench south of the bridge where the "Yajikita Statue" is located to enjoy my Iced Caramel Macchiato V. I like the taste, but I noticed that the caramel on the top hadn't fully melted, giving it a slightly bitter taste.

Earl Grey Tea Latte (Tall) 450 yen plus tax. The tea was brewed with a tea bag, which was nice. I usually order a Short size, but since it was cold, I decided to get a Tall, which turned out to be surprisingly large. This Starbucks along the Kamo River is always busy. I tried to go to Ogawa Coffee nearby, but they close at 7:30 pm, so I ended up here. I'm grateful that it was open. There are two floors, and the restroom is on the basement floor, which requires entering a passcode written on the receipt. I feel like it wasn't like this the last time I was here, but maybe I'm mistaken? Also, the mermaid's face getting closer and closer is kind of scary, right?

Starbucks Coffee Kyoto Sanjo Ohashi Store When you get off the Keihan train and cross Sanjo Ohashi, it's on the right side. It has a slightly fairy-tale, cute design. I climbed up a steep slope (though not too steep) and enjoyed the view of Kyoto city from Shogunzuka before heading back down. I thought there might not be any riverside dining this year, but surprisingly, the riverside seats at Starbucks were empty when viewed from across the river. It's only for an hour, but it's nice that there's no seating fee. Couples, cute mother-daughter pairs, and solo female customers were all relaxing in their own ways. The summer heat also seemed to have eased a bit in the evening.

After enjoying a unique riverbed dining experience at Kawaku, I visited Starbucks Coffee Kyoto Sanjo Ohashi store, which offers a special riverbed experience during this season. The entrance to the store is impressive, and the interior has a wonderful atmosphere. Stepping outside, I found a beautiful riverbed illuminated with lights, creating a magical ambiance. Although I only had an espresso, I was able to savor the fantastic atmosphere. I highly recommend visiting this place during this season.

After enjoying incredibly delicious Japanese cuisine at a famous restaurant, I strolled through the cool evening streets of Kyoto and ended up at Starbucks near Sanjo Ohashi Bridge. I tried their recommended Vanilla Cream Frappuccino with added citrus pulp for 660 yen including tax. It was sweet with a refreshing citrus flavor, absolutely delicious! Although they were out of peach and strawberry flavors, this combination was also fantastic. I would love to visit Starbucks again in the future. You can see the Kamogawa River from a low position, making it arguably the most Kyoto-like Starbucks.

I saw a funny sign in front of the store - Coffee GYU NEW and Fruit GYU NEW! I was intrigued and decided to try the Coffee GYU NEW, but it was extremely sweet and made me even more thirsty. If you're looking to gulp down a drink, it's better to avoid this one. This Starbucks store near Sanjo Ohashi Bridge has a view of the Kamogawa River from inside, and starting from May, they also have riverside seating. You can experience the riverside seating with just the cost of your drink, so if there's an open seat, it's worth a try.
