ヒノッチ
This is Sun, a kushikatsu restaurant located at the corner of Ooishibashi intersection. Every time I passed by in my car, I was intrigued by this place. The signboard with "Kushikatsu and Tail Stew" written on it really caught my attention! I always thought to myself that I have to visit this place someday, and finally, I got the chance to do so! The signboard looks even more impressive up close. But enough about that, let's head into the warm interior of the restaurant! The first floor only has counter seats, so we were led to the tatami room on the second floor. Here, we presented a printed coupon that included a drink, 3 pieces of kushikatsu, and tail stew (equivalent to 1710 yen) for only 1000 yen! It's a great deal to have both items from the signboard menu included. We each ordered our preferred drink. After a while, our drinks arrived along with some appetizers. Then, a staff member asked if they could lead a toast for us. Of course, we agreed! "Cheers to another day of hard work! Kanpai!" Sapporo Draft (480 yen), Medium Bottle (530 yen), Yokaiichi (380 yen), Kakuhai (430 yen), Tamano Hikari (660 yen) ※ Prices are regular prices. This energetic service really helped us forget about our tiredness and the cold weather! Next, the set of 3 kushikatsu pieces of various types was served. The pieces were small and bite-sized. Then, the other highlight from the menu, the "Tail Stew," arrived. It's said to be a legendary dish. Upon tasting it, I could tell that the tail was very tender and delicious. I've had tail soup and red wine stew before, but this was my first time trying this dish. Each of us also ordered other dishes that we wanted to try. After everyone was satisfied, it was time to call it a night. We spent quite a long time here... Upon paying the bill and leaving the restaurant, a staff member offered us canned coffee because it was cold outside. This was a nice gesture that helped us warm up. Thank you, we won't freeze on our way home now.
