The food was delicious, the all-you-can-drink alcohol was great! The service was fast and no issues! The perfect balance of cleanliness and izakaya atmosphere, ideal for company drinking parties. There were dishes that allowed us to experience Kyoto, suitable for foreigners and tourists. I will definitely come back!

Every time I go to Kyoto, I've noticed this restaurant called Donguri that seems to be a chain specializing in okonomiyaki. We arrived around 5:30 pm and were able to get a table without a reservation. It seems to be quite popular as there were many reserved seats. They have a lot of unique dishes. The shrimp and lotus root okonomiyaki was packed with ingredients and surprisingly delicious. The squid kimchi tasted similar to chanja. The pork croquette was crispy on the outside and tasty on the inside. I particularly liked the soy sauce udon, which had a rich flavor despite its simple appearance. On the other hand, the okonomiyaki was just okay. The mochi cheese with corn topping had a good flavor, but the pancake-like thick dough gave it a homemade feel, similar to what you could buy at a store or in the frozen food section. If that doesn't bother you, then you might enjoy this restaurant. The drinks were served a bit late. If there are no other available options, I might consider going back again.

Kyoto Municipal Subway Karasuma Line, Shijo Station, 1 minute walk from Exit 6. This is a branch of a chain restaurant specializing in okonomiyaki and teppanyaki in Kyoto. They use flour from Kyoto's Izawa Seifun and other local ingredients, showing their commitment to local products. While the entrance is narrow, the interior opens up to a spacious area with table seating equipped with teppan grills. Orders are placed using a touch panel system. I ordered the negi-yaki (688 yen tax included) with sauce, along with a draft beer. The negi-yaki was served in 7-8 minutes, with plenty of Kyoto's Kujonegi green onions. The crispy batter and generous amount of negi made for a delicious meal. The option of soy sauce flavor was also tempting. The atmosphere was similar to an izakaya chain, but I enjoyed my experience. I would definitely visit again if given the chance. Thank you for the meal.

Kyoto actually has a lot of negiyaki and okonomiyaki restaurants, did you know that? There are famous specialty shops that stay open late, but this place, "Donguri Shijo Karasuma store," is open late and convenient. It's a great spot for late-night meetups, haha. - It's a teppanyaki restaurant that serves lime sours. The table seating is spacious, making it easy to visit even in this era. - Kansai people love "beef tendons," haha. But they use plenty of Kujo green onions, and the texture of the tendons was really good. The menu is also extensive, making you want to order a variety of dishes. By the way, there are no photos, but we also ordered some appetizers and had a fun night. Oh, the yakisoba was delicious too!

I ordered the tomato dish, and it was delicious. In Tokyo, sometimes you get tough tomatoes with hard skin, but this one was properly prepared. I started with the scallion pancake, which had a rich scallion flavor and was tasty. Next, I ordered the okonomiyaki, which took about 20 minutes to cook as they make it fluffy. It did take some time to be served, but it was worth it. It looked very fluffy, almost like the pancake version of okonomiyaki. The taste was great, and the texture was fluffy without being too sticky. It made me understand why this chain from Kansai is popular.

This is my favorite okonomiyaki restaurant. I love their traditional okonomiyaki with Donburi's sauce flavor and the texture of the batter. I always start with the Caesar salad, which has a flavor base of dashi. It's a Japanese-style salad. The kimchi yakisoba is slightly spicy and goes well with beer. I also love the negiyaki, which is soy sauce-based and light, so I can eat as much as I want. Lastly, the classic but delicious pork okonomiyaki. It's fluffy and tasty. Donburi offers both spicy and sweet sauces, and combining the two gives a delicious mix of flavors and spiciness.

In the midst of summer, nothing beats having a cold beer. The restaurant is located on the west side after going up Karasuma Bukkoji. They offer okonomiyaki, yakisoba, and teppanyaki dishes. I visited the restaurant for a company drinking party on this day. As July comes to an end, Kyoto is experiencing peak summer with hot days. While enjoying various dishes, we quench our thirst with beer. We ended the meal with okonomiyaki and yakisoba. Eating the piping hot okonomiyaki while sweating is truly special.
