I visited around 10 o'clock on a weekday for lunch. When I entered the restaurant, it was about half full. There were both individuals and groups dining. The atmosphere was like a traditional coffee shop, and it was excellent. I ordered a blend coffee for 500 yen, and a person who seemed skilled made it for me. Personally, I liked the blend which was medium to dark roast with a mild acidity. It was perfect for a morning cup of coffee. I will definitely go again.

Located about a 5-minute walk from Karasuma Station, I visited this shop around 10:20 on a weekday, as it had caught my interest before. Inside the shop, there are many cups lined up. The cafe macchiato costs 300 yen, as well as the baked cheese tart. They were served in about 3 minutes. The macchiato, which is espresso with a little milk, was rich yet had a milky taste, making it delicious. The baked cheese tart had a simple flavor and was light, making it easy to eat. Despite being in the city, it is a shop where you can spend a relaxing time. I would like to visit again if I have the opportunity.

I ordered Vienna coffee. I am looking forward to seeing which cup will be brought as they vary depending on the person. I also like the small cup with whipped cream. It's delicious to eat the whipped cream like a dessert without putting it in the coffee. It seems smoking is allowed, so when there are smokers, I quickly leave as I don't like smoking.

I often pass by this old-fashioned coffee shop but had never been inside before. I decided to take a break and went in, but it was already close to 4 pm, the closing time. There were a young couple and a solo female customer already there. I usually drink coffee, but it was hot so I opted for an iced coffee. I'm not very knowledgeable about beans or roasting, so I just judged based on whether it tasted good or not. The refreshing iced coffee was to my liking. However, I realized that if I had ordered a hot coffee, it would have been poured into one of the many cups lined up on the wall, which made me think I should have tried that. The shop had a lot of cups and saucers displayed, so I imagine they have some wonderful items. The atmosphere was nice with a solid wooden structure, and there were posters of movies scenes featuring the shop, which was cool. I bet their cheesecake is delicious too. I would definitely want to visit this place again if I'm in the area.

I took a coffee break at a café. The distinctive feature is the blue brick exterior. I visited during a relatively quiet time. I sat at a large wooden table. I enjoyed my coffee while reading a book. I chose a light roast Americano for 500 yen on a hot summer day. It had a light taste with acidity, refreshing to drink. The coffee aroma was refreshing. The owner is friendly and the atmosphere is cozy. It's a good place to relax in a retro space. Thank you for the meal.

Arrived around 9:10. The owner was outside cleaning the windows. Probably running the place alone. And just watching for customers to come in? Smoking allowed. Most table seats are for 4 or more people. There is also a seat that can accommodate about 8 people. There is a table seat for The Eccentric Family at the back. However, it's a 6-seater so it's a bit awkward to use. The atmosphere inside is nice with light music playing, perfect for reading a book. You can feel the warmth of the wood. I sat at a table near the entrance, but felt a slight draft? It's a little chilly. Ordered a Colombian coffee for ¥500. It's rare for all blends to be priced at ¥500. Honestly, I don't have a strong preference for the taste of coffee. But I like the smell. This Colombian coffee has a nice smell, but maybe it's not as good as Kuzuha? The cake is reasonable at ¥300 and might be good.

I passed by many times and was curious, but on this day, I decided to go in. The impression of the place was classical, with lovely coffee cups lined up. It felt calming. I ordered a Cafe Noire (700 yen), which was an iced cafe au lait with coffee jelly inside. The coffee jelly was slightly bitter, giving the drink an adult-like taste. There were ashtrays on each table, so smoking may be allowed. However, there were no smokers on that day.

It is located southeast of the intersection of Higashitoin Rokkaku. The retro and imposing sign is a landmark. Inside the store, there are colorful cups and saucers on display. When you order coffee, they seem to brew it in a different cup for each person. The beautiful light blue cup and saucer had a vibrant rose pattern when lifted. We also enjoyed the same rose pattern after the meal. The retro interior creates a leisurely flow of time, making it a wonderful place to forget the hustle and bustle of the city.

Located at Higashinoto-in Rokkaku, this coffee specialty shop stands out with its distinctive blue roof. While trendy coffee stands are nice, enjoying a cup of coffee carefully selected by the master in a sophisticated branded cup adds a special touch. The shop is situated in a bustling area with a lot of foot traffic. The side vending machine is also integrated into the shop, making it an intriguing café. The large wooden signboard and antique items visible from the outside create a luxurious atmosphere that might make first-time visitors a bit cautious. Inside, there is an espresso machine where you can also enjoy Milan-style drinks. The rich coffee seems to be well-received by international customers. The café latte served smartly with the espresso machine. The fine bubbles seal the lid, trapping the gentle aroma. When you bring it to your mouth, you'll feel a light and fluffy sensation. It has a good balance of acidity and a strong bitter taste. The elegant blue cup is chosen to match the customer's image. This kind of hospitality is the essence of a traditional coffee shop.

I used this place before visiting Mr. Inoue at Nishiki Market. I entered around 4 pm and there was no crowd, so I got my coffee smoothly. The atmosphere of the shop is nice. It seems to be more loved by locals than tourists. It was a nice place.

This is a delightful cafe with a refreshing coffee and coffee cups to look forward to. There was a scene from an anime displayed inside the shop, and it was so realistically depicted. I wonder if the shop appeared in some anime.

I enjoyed Kiriman slowly. It has an old-fashioned feel, but if you are sensitive to tobacco smell, you may want to consider that.

I stopped by "Coffee Tsutaya" on my way back from shopping, located a little south of Higashinoto-in Rokkaku. I had always thought it was a retro and cozy place based on what I saw on TV and magazines, but it wasn't exactly like that. I ordered the Tsutaya Blend for 500 yen, which was described as having a good balance of acidity and richness with a refreshing aftertaste, and it was indeed delicious as my friend also mentioned. I had the Cappuccino for 500 yen, which had cocoa sprinkled on top as an accent. The wooden chairs were hard and the seats were close together and fixed, so it was a bit uncomfortable to sit for a long time. The address is 260 Gojyosaka-cho, Higashinoto-in Rokkaku, Nakagyo-ku, Royal Plaza 1F, phone number 075-255-5727. Open from 8:00 to 19:30 on weekdays and Sundays, and from 8:00 to 16:00 on Saturdays. Closed on the third Sunday of the month.

After having lunch at Iemoto Salon, on the way to Nishiki Koji, I stumbled upon a specialty coffee shop. I decided to take a break and stop by. The interior of the shop had a sense of sophistication, blending both Japanese and Western styles. It seemed a bit eclectic, but I suppose that's acceptable in a tourist destination like Kyoto. The coffee cups were lined up neatly. I noticed they offered Kirimandjaro for 500 yen, which I haven't had in a while and really enjoy. I like the acidity of this coffee. The shop was quiet and empty, allowing me to relax and enjoy my coffee in peace. Thank you for the meal.

I visited this place in the early afternoon. It is located at the southeast corner of Higashinotoin Rokkaku, near Daimaru and Yaoyaichi, so it's a busy area. The restaurant has a nostalgic Showa era atmosphere, with large wooden tables and folk crafts and ukiyo-e prints decorating the interior. The first thing you notice is the abundance of coffee cups and saucers displayed on the counter and shelves. I ordered the "Colombian" coffee for 500 yen, which was priced similarly to other options except for Blue Mountain. They also had homemade cakes for 300 yen, but it seemed like they didn't serve food. I read in other reviews that they choose a cup for you based on your preferences. I was served in the cup shown in the picture, I wonder how they chose it. The taste was decent, and it's a rare Showa era style cafe in this area. It's not overly fancy, so I don't think it would deter female customers. Unfortunately, smoking is allowed, but I can overlook it in a place like this. The tables are spaced out enough that the smoke isn't bothersome. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

It was a Saturday visit. The store information stated that it opens at 8:00, so I planned to have my morning coffee there. I arrived around 10:00, but it was still closed. So, I did some sightseeing and returned after 12:00. It was open this time. I enjoyed delicious coffee as rumored, served in lovely cups. I ordered Ivy Blend coffee (500 yen), cappuccino (500 yen), pear tart (300 yen), and orange cake (300 yen), all of which were delicious. I was surprised that the orange in the orange cake was fresh, not soaked in syrup. The staff kindly allowed me to take photos. The master was friendly and showed me cups and mascots with the same pattern as Gaspard, which made me feel warm and comfortable. The menu only includes drinks and three types of cakes. It is a place purely for enjoying coffee time. I would love to come back for another coffee time when I visit Kyoto again.
