I wanted to eat pizza around Shijo area, so I visited this restaurant. We had a filling meal and drinks for about 5000 yen per person, which was reasonable for a group of 5. The taste of the pizza was average and nothing particularly surprising, but in terms of cost performance, I was very satisfied.

The meat was cooked just right, tender and delicious. The atmosphere was good, the staff were attentive, and I had a pleasant time. I would like to use it again.

It was a relief to be able to have a pleasant meal in the bustling Max Kyoto during the holidays. They offer standard Italian cuisine. You can order pizza as a half and half, and they even have Kirin's Heartland draft beer. The restaurant is spacious, so both adults and children can dine comfortably. The order is done through a smartphone, making it easy and reasonably priced. The night in Kyoto Karasuma was fantastic.

It is unclear whether the COVID-19 situation has improved, but restrictions on activities have decreased significantly. I recently went on a long-distance business trip and made a stop in Kyoto. I was surprised to see a long line of people waiting for the bus at Kyoto Station. It felt like we had gone back to the pre-COVID era when over-tourism was a concern. Everywhere I looked, there were long lines for lunch. It reminded me of the days when I used to wander around aimlessly without a specific purpose. Feeling a sense of urgency as lunchtime was ending, I stumbled upon this place. I had actually been here once before when I first started living in Kyoto, and this was my second visit after some renovations. Although they had stopped offering their weekly changing plate, I decided to order the "Goro Goro Black Wagyu Bolognese-style Meat Sauce Pasta with Melty Cheese on Top (1,485 yen)." The dish arrived, and although the portion seemed small to my past self, I appreciated the chewy texture of the fresh pasta. The chunks of beef were tasty, but I questioned the need for using black Wagyu specifically. The cheese was generously sprinkled, almost overwhelming. Overall, I was satisfied with my meal in Kyoto.

I wanted to have pasta for lunch, so I went to "QUATRO". The restaurant was spacious with many female customers, and on this Saturday, some customers were enjoying wine in the daytime, which made me a bit envious. I ordered the Bolognese-style meat sauce pasta with chunks of black wagyu beef and topped with melty cheese, in a large serving. The lunch set also came with a salad. The pasta used fresh noodles that were chewy, and the meat was plentiful and delicious. The generous amount of cheese on top was definitely a plus. I enjoyed eating it all. However, despite ordering a large serving, the portion size felt normal, and the price seemed a bit high.

Salad at Kakin is recommended for those who want to enjoy a delicious meal in a beautiful setting. The dishes and the interior of the restaurant are both lovely, and the customers and staff are generally sophisticated. The Américaine salad is delicious, with plump shrimp. For an extra 300 yen, you can upgrade your lunch salad to something truly luxurious. I'm not sure of the names of the dishes, but there was a gratin with green ingredients, aspic, salami, fried linguine, prosciutto, potato salad, and more. The dressing had a tangy orange and pink peppercorn vinegar flavor, which I really liked. If you have a dessert coupon when making a lunch reservation on a site like Tabelog or HotPepper, be sure to use it! I received a brownie that looked just like the photos, and it was so hard that I had to be careful not to break the plate. On the day I visited, 70% of the customers ordered pasta, while 30% went for pizza.

I felt like eating the pasta here again, so I went after a long time. The pasta names here are wonderful, with photos on the menu, so I was really torn. This time, I chose the "Rich Carbonara with Shaved Snow Mountain Cheese" pasta. The pasta comes with a salad and Zeppole (chewy fried bread). This time, I added 682 yen to change to the "Special Set." This set includes a platter of 5 appetizers, a drink, and dessert. The total was 1760 yen, which is quite pricey. The 5 appetizers included a salad, Zeppole (spicy cod roe flavor!), Spanish omelette, pate de campagne, and sea bream carpaccio. The portions were small. The Zeppole (2 pieces) + salad had more volume. But each item was very delicious. I thought they were elaborate. The Spanish omelette was a bit bland, but when eaten with the tomato sauce, it had just the right amount of saltiness and acidity. Next was the pasta. It was exactly like the menu photo, a visually appealing Carbonara with snow mountain cheese. When I brought my face close, I could strongly smell the cheese. The sauce with plenty of eggs was also delicious. If I could ask for more, I would have liked the pasta to be fresh pasta or fettuccine! The thick-cut bacon was plentiful and I was happy about that. Finally, the drink and dessert. You can choose from several soft drinks for the drink. I chose HOT lemon tea. The dessert was the only option, "Today's Dessert," which was a chocolate brownie. The black tea had a very refreshing aftertaste, a crowd-pleaser. As for the brownie, it was rock hard and I was surprised. I couldn't cut it well with the small fork provided. I thought about using the dining knife on the table, but the size was unbalanced, so I gave up. In the end, I got lazy and just stabbed the fork into it and took a bite. The chocolate was quite rich. It was delicious. The staff always looked around the store and noticed things well. They were smiling and explained things clearly. The store is spacious, so empty seats were noticeable, but customers kept coming in one after another. There were customers with reservations, but I think you can also enter without one. There are counter seats and table seats, and half of the customers were solo female diners. The price is high for the volume, and fresh pasta is delicious but increases the cost even more. There are also several pizza lunch options that caught my eye, but I think I want to eat pasta again next time.

A fusion of Kyoto ingredients and Italian cuisine. They offer pizzas, pastas, meat dishes, as well as seasonal limited-time menus using seasonal vegetables and seafood every 2-3 months, and dishes using Kyoto vegetables, yuba, Saikyo miso, homemade chirimen sansho pepper, etc. The store is located on the east side of Karasuma-Kawaramachi. The interior has a counter with 10 seats and 42 table seats. It is bustling with female customers and couples. The appetizers and side dishes are abundant. I would like to enjoy a leisurely drink with wine (even though I can't drink). The casual yet calm atmosphere is perfect for relaxing after a party. The assorted appetizers had a variety of items, which got me really excited. As it is an Italian bar, I enjoyed olives, caprese, and other snacks while drinking wine. I went to lunch alone. I decided to take a break on Karasuma Street, and when I searched for a nearby Italian restaurant, I found this place! I was drawn in by the delicious-looking menu and reasonable prices, so I entered the restaurant. There were counter seats, making it easy for even one person to enter! I ordered the A lunch set with rich carbonara topped with freshly grated snow mountain cheese. It came with salad and zeppole (soft bread) and was delicious. The mountain of cheese on top of the carbonara was amazing. It was a very nice atmosphere, so I would like to go again.

Located in the office district of Karasuma, many company employees were visiting to have lunch. I chose the pasta lunch set. It included fried bread, salad, pasta, and dessert for around 1500 yen. The pasta had plenty of meat in it, so it was quite satisfying. The dessert, ice cream, was extremely hard, which made it take a long time to eat.

I had some errands around this area and found this place with a growling stomach, so I decided to go in. I chose the B set, which includes a choice of several types of fresh pasta, a salad, zeppole (chewy bread), a drink, and dessert. Although there were many tempting seasonal options, I was too hungry to resist the "Beef Bolognese" pasta. The salad and zeppole that were served first helped to curb my hunger a bit, and then the pasta arrived. Everything was delicious. The fresh pasta was indeed chewy, but not overly heavy. Personally, I wished there was more cheese spread throughout. The restaurant had both counter and table seating, and the atmosphere was comfortable without feeling rushed.

A few minutes' walk from Karasuma Station. Today I had lunch here. The interior of the restaurant has counter seats and table seats, and the main lunch options are pizza and pasta. I ordered the Margherita as part of Set A (with salad + fried bread). Let's dig in! The Margherita was hot and freshly baked. I chose the 24cm size, which was just right for one person. It's also good to drizzle olive oil on top if you like. The fried bread had red ginger in it and was chewy and unique. So, bon appétit! Set A comes with bread, but I didn't need extra bread with my pizza, so I would prefer a drink instead. Well, a drink is only 100 yen, so it's not a big deal.

This Italian restaurant is amazing! I ordered the beef Bolognese, Genovese, and prosciutto, and they were all delicious! Located at Shijo-Karasuma, they offer affordable wood-fired pizzas that you can also take out. I sometimes use their takeout service to enjoy cheap and delicious food. The set menu also comes with a drink, making it a great deal.

Weekly changing Pasta with beef tendon and two types of green onions in yuzu pepper oil sauce A lunch set (with salad and Zeppole). Zeppole is a chewy fried bread with pickled ginger that reminds one of takoyaki. There are two Zeppole included, making it a satisfying portion. It was my first time trying pasta with tendon, but the texture was similar to octopus or squid, so it didn't feel strange. Since the menu changes weekly, I am looking forward to trying out the other options available.

I ordered the 1980 yen Quattro lunch course. It came with an appetizer, pizza or pasta, steak, dessert, and a drink, which I thought was a good deal. Overall, everything was just average in taste, but it did leave me feeling full. The appetizer was decent. The main pasta dish tasted cheap. The steak was the same. It seemed like you get what you pay for.

After having a great time in Osaka, I headed to Kyoto to meet up with my friends. Due to traffic restrictions for the Daimonjiyaki event, we ended up having dinner at a restaurant called "Italian Quattro" next to our hotel. We arrived late after a long walk, but the restaurant was not crowded. We ordered a platter of 6 appetizers and some meat dishes. Every dish was delicious, especially the mashed potatoes hidden under the meat – it was incredibly tasty! Although we were too full to try their pizza or pasta, I would love to come back next year for another meal.

Dinner at this Italian restaurant was a great deal with a la carte options. They had a drink all-you-can for 1000 yen, which is cheaper than the usual 1500 yen. The drink all-you-can menu included a variety of cocktails and non-alcoholic cocktails, which was great for someone with a sweet tooth like me. They also served complimentary bread that you could have as much as you wanted, and they even baked it for you. The dishes I ordered were Carbonara, 4 Cheese Seitan Gratin, and Margherita pizza (with a coupon for 500 yen!). The pasta allowed you to choose the type of noodles, and I opted for the regular noodles instead of fresh ones. The Carbonara was rich and creamy, with a strong presence of pork rather than just bacon flavor. The Seitan Gratin had chewy seitan pieces topped with plenty of cheese cream, with a hint of Gorgonzola flavor which was delightful. The Margherita pizza had a simple tomato sauce and lacked olive oil, but the dough was soft and chewy, showing their commitment to quality dough. I would definitely recommend trying the Quattro Formaggi during lunch, as it is affordable and delicious. The food menu options were not extensive, but the wide variety of drinks at reasonable prices make this Italian restaurant highly recommended.
