This is "Yakiniku Genki Ichiban" located in the shopping center "Viera Town Keihanna" in Seika-cho. It seems to be managed by the Mankura Group, which also operates "Shabu Shabu Tajimaya". I visited during lunchtime on a Saturday. The restaurant is one of several in Viera Town, with a large sign making it easy to find. The parking lot is spacious. Inside, it has a family-friendly atmosphere with many spacious table seats. The customer service has improved a lot since my last visit, leaving a good impression. During lunchtime, there are many affordable lunch sets ranging from 780 to 1680 yen. The basic Genki Lunch A includes rice, salad, kimchi, soup, and beef loin, kalbi, and chicken thigh for 880 yen. Additional meat can be ordered for +100 yen per plate, making it quite a good deal. A free drink bar is also included. On this day, I ordered the Seika Lunch for 980 yen, which includes rice, salad, kimchi, choice of cold noodles or udon with beef tendon, and kalbi meat. I chose cold noodles and added pork belly and pork loin for an extra 200 yen. The dishes were brought one after another, all looking very generous. The cold noodles were of the Korean type, with clear noodles and toppings like egg, pork, two types of kimchi, seaweed, green onions, and sesame. The soup was light and sweet, but with a spicy kick when mixed with the kimchi. The noodles were thin and easy to eat, and the pork was decently tasty. The kalbi meat that came with the Seika Lunch was quite large and good quality, especially when marinated. Surprisingly, the additional pork belly and pork loin I ordered were delicious, especially the pork belly with a strong salt seasoning. The thick and tender texture of the meat made it worth the +100 yen price. It was my first time visiting Yakiniku Genki Ichiban in a while. The affordable and generous lunch menu is very appealing. With the improved customer service, I look forward to visiting again.
