"Gurumatei" is an okonomiyaki and teppanyaki restaurant located just a short walk from Nankai Shindenba Station. The restaurant is on the first floor of a building, with Pinochio, known for its chewy pasta, on the second floor. The white curtain is a distinctive feature of the restaurant. There is parking space available for a few cars. The interior of the restaurant is unexpectedly spacious, with many teppanyaki tables. The atmosphere is down-to-earth but clean and impressive. The place seemed to be very busy and bustling. On the day of the visit, there was almost a full reservation, but luckily managed to secure the last available seat without a reservation. It might be safer to make a reservation in advance. The female staff's service was down-to-earth yet pleasant, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. The menu consists mainly of okonomiyaki and yakisoba, with a variety of teppanyaki dishes. Prices vary depending on the size and toppings of the okonomiyaki and yakisoba. The teppanyaki menu includes a variety of meat and vegetable options. On this particular day, okonomiyaki (beef) for 970 yen, yakisoba (vegetable) for 970 yen, garlic chicken for 650 yen, and pork kimchi for 750 yen were ordered. The bottled beer was Classic Lager. The okonomiyaki was particularly impressive, with plenty of eggs used to create a fluffy texture. It is served with both spicy and sweet sauces, along with mayonnaise, green laver, and bonito flakes for seasoning to taste. In addition to the beef topping, there were plenty of vegetables providing a satisfying meal. The yakisoba had a classic flavor, with a generous amount of ingredients such as green peppers, bean sprouts, carrots, onions, and fried tempura bits. The flavors were relatively not too strong. The pork kimchi had a generous amount of kimchi, making it quite spicy. The garlic chicken was a juicy and voluminous dish with a soft texture, releasing a flavorful juice when bitten into. The garlic flavor was strong, making it a great dish to enjoy with drinks. The atmosphere and the thoughtful service of the staff made it a place where one could easily spend a long time. Since I occasionally use Shindenba Station, I think I will visit this restaurant again."
