A new restaurant with unique expression and sense has opened in a quiet residential area near Karasuma Gojo. The chef, Mr. Nakase, who previously worked at "Vineria h" and "Il Giotto", has now opened his own place with Mr. Tanaya, aiming to create a casual dining experience for adults and families alike. I visited the restaurant for the first time in late May, and was impressed by the dishes that exceeded my expectations. The menu included dishes like Pork Mince Ravioli with Homemade Chive Chili Oil, Margherita Spring Rolls, Dashi Omlette with Black Shichimi, One-Bite Smoked Salmon Pizza, and Tomato and Basil Pomodoro. The food was well-prepared and delicious, with a variety of flavors and textures. The restaurant also offers a selection of drinks, including sparkling wine, sake, white wine, and beer. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, with a few tables and an open kitchen on the first floor. The second floor is also expected to open soon. Mr. Tanaya mainly handles the cooking, while Mr. Nakase assists with service. The restaurant is closed on Sundays and operates from 4pm to 10pm. Reservations are recommended due to the popularity of the place. Overall, it is a great spot to enjoy high-quality Italian-inspired dishes in a relaxed and unpretentious setting.

On this day, I went to "Hashiya to Nakase" in the Karasuma Gojo area♪ It's only a 5-minute walk from Gojo Station☆ It's one of my favorite places in the neighborhood♬ When I arrived, I was seated at a table and ordered the following: "Potato salad with bonito flavor (@500)", "Spanish ham (@1200)", "One-bite anchovy pizza (@500)", "Grilled edamame with anchovy (@600)". For drinks, I had "Sparkling wine (@900)" ( 〃▽〃)
--------------------------------------------------
【Appetizer】➽ Started with a "Salad with soft-boiled egg and cheese"♬
【Potato salad with bonito flavor】➽ Roughly chopped, nice texture♫♫
【Spanish ham】➽ Once you spot it, you can't resist eating it~ (*゚▽゚*)
【One-bite anchovy pizza】➽ A great snack to go with alcohol♡
【Grilled edamame with anchovy】➽ Another good accompaniment for drinks (๑>◡<๑)
I enjoyed the food quickly this time, but I look forward to savoring it slowly next time~ (∗ˊᵕ`∗)

Recommended by a friend, I finally visited this creative Italian restaurant located in a narrow alley. The menu incorporates a Kyoto-like Japanese taste, and all the dishes were delicious and satisfying. I especially liked the lemon carbonara, a refreshing dish perfect for summer. The drink menu is extensive, ranging from wine to sake. The restaurant has tables for 4 people and even an 8-person table on the second floor, making it suitable for various group sizes. What surprised me the most was the diaper changing shelf in the restroom, a rare feature in a drinking establishment. They open from 4 pm, making it a good option for families with children to come for a drink. I definitely want to visit this restaurant again!

The food is really delicious! The seasoning and flavors of the dishes are all delicious, so I ended up ordering too much and ate a lot haha. The main dishes of grilled chicken and grilled duck were thick but not gamey, juicy, and perfectly cooked. The vegetables and other appetizers were also incredibly delicious, making me very happy. I want to become a regular here haha.

A high-ceilinged restaurant in a residential area. The atmosphere was beautiful. I don't remember if the prices were clearly stated, it was a while ago. The crispy chicken was delicious. I love karasumi, so I was thrilled to see it on the menu. The food was beautifully presented and tasted amazing. It's a bit of a walk from the station, but definitely worth it!

It starts with Mao Zedong and ends with Mao Zedong. Mao Zedong spice and shrimp. The #MaoZedong spice was too addictive... Finally, we received white rice (lol) and enjoyed it with Mao Zedong and egg yolk. #Forbidden flavor. LOL. I visited this restaurant for the first time! It's located in a hidden place and not easy to notice, yet it was full. We ordered 3 glasses of wine and about 6 dishes for two people, and it cost just under 7000 yen per person. The wine and food were very delicious. I especially recommend the charcoal-grilled pork and carbonara. The appetizer was Caesar salad, and the dressing was also delicious. I want to go again.

I had been wanting to visit this place for a while. The customers seemed to be mostly young. They adjusted the portion size for one person, which I appreciated. The dishes were creative and I was excited to try them. I would like to visit with a group next time so we can order a variety of dishes. Thank you for the meal.

First item, the appetizer was a salad with refreshing ice fish and pesticide-free chrysanthemum greens dressed in ponzu sauce. Salt-seared amberjack, aromatic oyster with homemade chili oil, duck dumplings, deer cutlet, Korean-style homemade mortadella ham, bite-sized sushi, spring rolls, and Margherita pizza. Each dish was served in small portions, allowing for a variety of flavors to be enjoyed. The wine paired well with the dishes. The deer cutlet was especially delicious, a must-order if available on the menu! Overall, we were very satisfied and will definitely go back again!

I still feel a bit of Il Ghiottone in this place. Hashiya and Nakase-san, the storefront is lovely, and the menu all looks delicious. I think it's best to come with multiple people and order a lot at this restaurant. Personally, the Olive Fritto and Margherita Spring Rolls are a must.

A stylish restaurant located about a 5-minute walk from Gojo Station. They use the freshest vegetables of the day to create delicious dishes paired with Japanese sake and wine. Their specialty is Karasumi Pizza, with Karasumi sandwiched between a chewy pizza crust. Perfect for pairing with drinks. And the cherry on top is the handsome waitstaff, which adds to the overall satisfaction.笑

This is my third visit to this restaurant. I love the delicious dishes and cozy atmosphere. It's a hidden gem, and though it's only been open for about six months, it's already difficult to get a reservation at this Italian restaurant. Despite being Italian, it has a casual bar-like feel, and you can enjoy authentic and incredibly delicious food. The variety of drinks is also extensive, and you can have fun pairing them with the delicious dishes.

This is my second time here. I love the delicious food and cozy atmosphere of this hidden gem of a restaurant. Despite being open for only about six months, this Italian place is already hard to get a reservation at. It has a casual bar-like feel, but the food is top-notch and incredibly tasty. They have a wide variety of drinks, and you can enjoy great food and drink pairings.

I've been curious about this place for a while and finally had the chance to visit. It's a hidden gem of a restaurant, and though it's only been open for about six months, it's already difficult to get a reservation at this Italian spot. The atmosphere is casual, almost like a bar or izakaya, but the food is authentically delicious. They have a great selection of drinks as well, so I've found a new favorite spot to frequent.

The wine with a natural and gentle touch complements the flavors perfectly. I chose a natural Cabernet Franc. The dishes with pork or chicken have a great balance of saltiness and a smooth finish. I was so engrossed in eating that I forgot to take photos. The handsome owner, Mr. Z, adds to the pleasant atmosphere. The spacious counter makes it easy for solo diners to enjoy. I will definitely be coming back!

A cozy izakaya run by Chef Hasiya and Nakase, who gained experience at renowned Italian restaurants in Kyoto such as Il Giottone and Vineria Assu. The restaurant, located on a quiet street off Higashinotoindori in Kyoto, is housed in a building from the Taisho era, with a modern interior that surprises visitors upon entering. The first floor offers a large counter and table seating, while the second floor has private rooms for a more intimate dining experience. The menu features Italian-inspired izakaya dishes that pair well with drinks, including a selection of over 20 types of wine and sake. The pasta with tomato and basil was exceptional, and the grilled chicken was juicy. The appetizers, including a salad with soft-boiled egg, were also delicious. The stylish ambiance, with music playing in the background, combined with the excellent food, make Hasiya and Nakase's izakaya a popular spot.

A friend who is a gourmet living in Kyoto highly recommends this place that opened in May 2022. Located in a residential area, this stylish townhouse is run by two handsome chefs. The spacious interior with high ceilings creates a pleasant atmosphere. The shan wine and drool bonito are amazing, as well as dishes like onisura and green onions, all perfectly balanced. The steamed pork has an oriental touch and is delicious! My friend's favorite karasumi pasta was specially ordered and it was truly exquisite. Despite being from Ilgi, the chefs offer a variety of dishes beyond Italian cuisine that suit Japanese taste buds. The fact that they incorporated their surnames into the restaurant name shows their commitment and responsibility, which is lovely. We enjoyed a bottle of white wine together and caught the last train back to Osaka. Be sure to make a reservation before you go! #Kyoto #Gojo #GojoGourmet #KyotoGourmet #KyotoItalian #AdachiRecommendation #AdachiTabelog 4.0

Protruding salad. Nuta with myoga and fruit tomato for 600 yen. Aosa seaweed mashed potatoes for 500 yen. Drooling bonito for 1500 yen. Kamo eggplant gratin. Half of horse meat carpaccio for 2500 yen. One piece of tebasaki for 250 yen. Lamb shumai and Taiwanese sansho for 800 yen. Charcoal-grilled pork for 1500 yen. A popular restaurant located in a very hard-to-find place, yet it is always full. The chef has a background working at Il Ghiottone. Each dish has a unique twist, but I prefer simpler dishes.

Decided to visit this restaurant that caught my eye after deciding on a trip to Kyoto. I immediately called to make a reservation, and surprisingly, I was able to secure one smoothly! The restaurant, located in a residential area, was more spacious and bright than I had imagined. The bustling atmosphere inside, with couples on dates and families with children, was a pleasant surprise. The appetizer salad was unexpectedly large and impressive. Just looking at the menu made me realize how much they love cooking, as I felt tempted to order everything on it! After much deliberation, we ordered the following dishes:
- Okra with anchovy mayo
- Dashi omelette with bonito flakes
- Black seven-spice meat-stuffed olives
- Spring rolls
- Margherita pizza
- Salmon risotto
- Hot and sour soup
Each dish had its own unique character, with a focus on showcasing the ingredients. The combinations and ideas were so imaginative and unexpected, yet undeniably delicious! The staff had a perfect balance of attentiveness and efficiency. They patiently explained the dishes when we asked questions. The cozy atmosphere, superb food, and exciting menu made this restaurant a must-visit. I would definitely return when I'm in Kyoto again. One small point to note is that due to customers leaving the door open for extended periods, some small insects were seen on the tables. It would be great if they could improve their pest control measures.

"Hashiya and Nakase" Kyoto, Underground Karasuma Line, Gojo Station. Caesar salad with spiced pork ham and coriander dashi omelette, black shichimi, okra and anchovy mayo. Dinner visit included a rare salad starter with plenty of vegetables, very happy. It's like an Italian izakaya, but there are also non-Italian dishes, all of which were delicious. In addition to wine, there is also sake available.

Hashiya and Nakase opened in June 2022. As the name suggests, it is a restaurant run by Mr. Hashiya and Mr. Nakase. Both of them come from Il Giotto. Mr. Hashiya used to be the head chef at Vineria before starting his own venture. The location is in a small alley near Gojo Station, not facing the main road. The interior has a counter with about 10 seats on the first floor, along with two 4-person tables. The second floor has a group table. The open kitchen style allows you to see the cooking process and chat with the chef while enjoying your meal. The atmosphere is relaxed with Southern music playing in the background. Currently, there are no set courses, only a la carte dishes. They serve creative Italian cuisine using seasonal vegetables and seafood. The pasta is also delicious and served in smaller portions, making it enjoyable for solo diners. They offer a variety of wines, champagnes, and more than 10 types of sake. They open at 4 pm, making it suitable for early dinner or pre-drinks. If it's not crowded, it's a convenient 5-minute taxi ride from Kyoto Station. Items tried include sautéed green asparagus with truffle sauce, seared tuna and baby turnip with mustard, anchovy mayo with okra, and smoked soft-boiled egg. Additionally, there was spaghetti with sardines and grilled eggplant in Genovese sauce, seaweed with mashed potatoes, and charcoal-grilled Aino pork.
