I visited the restaurant after lunch on Sunday. There were about 5 people waiting in line even before the opening. I was the 6th person and was able to enter the restaurant. The seating was a bit cramped, but it had a retro coffee shop atmosphere. I ordered the following:
- Today's cake set for 800 yen (tax included). I chose the chocolate cake from options of orange, chocolate, and rum raisin. For the drink, I chose Viennese coffee from options of Viennese coffee, blended coffee, and iced coffee. The chocolate cake was moist with crispy chocolate chips inside, creating a perfect harmony of bitterness, sweetness, and texture. It was incredibly delicious! It tasted even better with the whipped cream provided. The Viennese coffee, with plenty of firm whipped cream, paired well with the rich and deep coffee flavor. I enjoyed imagining the original Viennese coffee from this shop while savoring it. It was a great coffee shop. Thank you for the meal.

I visited the original shop of Wiener coffee. The interior of the shop has a retro atmosphere with old music playing, creating a cozy space. It was my first time trying Wiener coffee, but I found the cream to be too heavy for my liking. However, I think it is a wonderful drink with a rich history. I would like to try the food menu on my next visit. Thank you for the meal.

I visited the famous coffee shop LADRIO, which has a rating of 3.67 on Tabelog and was listed in the top 100 coffee shops in 2022 and 2021. It is located in Jimbocho, in a back alley near the intersection. The exterior and interior of the shop exude a retro atmosphere, reminiscent of a Showa-era coffee shop. LADRIO is a longstanding coffee shop known for being the birthplace of Wiener coffee. In addition to Wiener coffee, their cream soda and Neapolitan pasta are also popular. I ordered a cake set for a break, which included an orange cake and Wiener coffee cake. The Wiener coffee, being the original, was not only visually appealing but also delicious. The shop quickly filled up after opening, truly embodying the Showa era. It's a great place to visit.

It's like a famous old coffee shop, so I visited alone. I had a blend coffee for 600 yen. I came here without knowing anything, but reading other reviews, it seems that the shop was established in 1949 and is the birthplace of Viennese coffee. I ordered the blend coffee without knowing, but the coffee itself was delicious. There weren't many types of coffee, but it was enough. I didn't try the Viennese coffee, but I was satisfied spending a relaxing time at a small table for one person. The shop is just a few minutes from the nearest station. The atmosphere, which cannot be expressed only by the word "retro," was quite lovely. Inside the shop, there were a few counter seats and a few tables. The slightly dim lighting, the French chanson music playing in the background, and the occasional crackling sound of a record created a relaxing space that was strangely comforting. It seems that from 5 pm, it turns into a bar time. The food menu includes Napolitan and curry. I was able to casually walk in without waiting, perhaps due to the time of day. The shop is completely non-smoking.

Originating from Wiener Kaffee, I ordered Wiener Kaffee and coffee jelly. The coffee jelly had a hint of brandy, giving it an adult taste. Both the Wiener Kaffee and coffee jelly had just the right amount of whipped cream, not too sweet or heavy, complementing the bitterness of the coffee. The atmosphere inside the shop was calm, allowing for a relaxing time.

In 2021 and 2022, this cafe was named one of the top 100 cafes. It was the first cafe to serve Viennese coffee. I visited on a weekday evening and was able to enter without waiting in line. The Viennese coffee had whipped cream on top. I looked up how to drink it properly and found that there is no specific way, but it is recommended to drink it as is and then use a spoon to scoop up the cream. The cafe played music at a relatively high volume, but it wasn't too loud. The lunch menu is available until 5:00 PM on weekdays, and the cafe operates as a bar from 5:00 PM onwards. There is a 200 yen cover charge for customers ordering alcohol.

A hidden gem coffee shop in Kagurazaka, just a 2-minute walk from Jimbocho Station on the Tokyo Metro and Toei Mita Line. This long-standing cafe is known for being the first in Japan to serve Wiener coffee, a visually stunning drink enjoyed by sipping the coffee through a layer of cream. It's absolutely delicious. Find them on Instagram at kuidaore.8.

I took my mother along for a café hopping adventure in Jimbocho. While looking at Tabelog, I was drawn to the Vienna Coffee posted by everyone, and wanted to visit one of the coffee shops in Jimbocho. As we walked down the streets, we saw signs for Sabouru, Milonga, and Kanda Bakarushiru! It seems like a fierce battleground for coffee shops here. We found Radio tucked away in a small alley near Milonga and Kanda Bakarushiru. Radio is run by quite a young staff, and there were many foreign customers and young people inside. The retro coffee shop atmosphere enveloped the place nicely. We were seated at the back, and I was surprised to see that they serve alcohol from 5 pm onwards. I ordered the Napoli Set (salad, soup, coffee) for 1000 yen. First, they served the soup, which looked delicious with dried parsley sprinkled on top. The soup seemed to be a consommé with plenty of corn at the bottom. The Napoli came in a round plate with salad on the side. The salad had corn and a tasty dressing. The Napoli itself had thin noodles with a generous amount of black pepper, giving it a spicy kick. The tomato ketchup was well mixed, creating a rich flavor. You can add Tabasco and cheese according to your preference. The onions, bell peppers, and bacon added a delicious accent. This is the Napoli you would expect from a coffee shop, flavorful and stimulating. It was incredibly delicious, and I found a new favorite spot! After the meal, I ordered the Vienna Coffee, which was sweet and delicious with a generous amount of cream on top. Another great find!

First time visiting this cafe. A renowned cafe in Jimbocho. They serve delicious Neapolitan and rich coffee that is unique to cafes. The interior and atmosphere are very charming, with a wide selection of attractive books inside. The desserts also looked very delicious, so I highly recommend this place.

I exited from the 7th exit of Jimbocho station, passed by Sahouru, and walked past the front of Koseki Coffee Shop. As I continued walking, I saw the sign for Radio, my destination. There were about 7 or 8 people waiting outside, as it was a popular spot. Suddenly, it started to rain lightly. The other people had umbrellas, but I and the couple in front of me did not. Since the wait seemed long, and there was another place nearby that could shelter us from the rain, we decided to go there instead. About an hour later, I returned to Radio. The rain had stopped. There was no one waiting outside. I was lucky to be seated right away, by the wall. A few minutes later, new customers had to wait for a table. The lunch set looked tempting, but I decided to order just the Wiener coffee that I came for. The interior had a brick counter and chairs, along with some interesting pillars and reliefs with the restaurant's name. The female owner was busy behind the counter, working with two others in the kitchen and on the floor. It seems like the place transforms into a bar at night. My Wiener coffee arrived, with a generous dollop of whipped cream on top. I used a spoon to eat some of the cream before drinking the coffee. It was a bit disappointing that the coffee portion was small, but it was delicious. I might try the set next time. Thank you for the meal.

I visited Radrio, a cafe I visit irregularly, and placed an impromptu order 10 minutes after it opened. I ordered my usual, Napolitan pasta and Vienna coffee, and as always, they were delicious. The Napolitan pasta had thin, firm noodles with a sweet and spicy flavor profile, although I wish it had a bit more volume. The Vienna coffee is a favorite of mine that I only order at Radrio.

Today, I went to see the Gaudi exhibition and decided to have tea in Jimbocho on the way back. Let's go to Sabouru! I said with determination, but when I arrived, no one was waiting in line. Lucky me, I thought, but it turned out to be a regular holiday. Oh well, I remembered that they are closed on Sundays, so I went to Radorio instead. It was raining, but I didn't have to wait long to get in, and I was seated at a table with a lamp in the corner. I finally ordered the coffee jelly I had been wanting. However, to my surprise, they were sold out of coffee jelly today. Oh no! But Radorio was the first shop in Japan to serve Viennese coffee, so I ordered that instead. It came in a small cup with plenty of cream. The quality was good and I liked it. My friend ordered the orange cake set. We spent a relaxing time in the slightly dimly lit cafe. I was surprised to see many young people there. Maybe there's a retro cafe boom going on. As someone who is sensitive to smoke, I felt a slight discomfort in my throat, but it wasn't too bothersome. I think next time I'll eat the Neapolitan at Sabouru and come to Radorio for the jelly. ✨

Finally finished my health check-up and diet (*^^*)/ With plenty of time on my hands, I decided to try out Radrio, a cafe I've been curious about that also serves lunch. I went there at 1:30 pm on a weekday. I was able to get a seat at the counter right away without any wait. I ordered the chicken curry and wiener coffee set. Individually, the curry is 800 yen and the wiener coffee is 600 yen, but as a set, it's only 1,000 yen tax included, so it feels like a great deal. I usually drink black coffee, but I don't dislike sweet coffee, so I really enjoyed the wiener coffee. The sweet cream and the coffee with reduced bitterness create a nice balance. The curry had a blend of acidity and spiciness in the roux, making it a curry that would appeal to many people, although it was a bit spicy for me. The cafe had more men than I expected, and it had a nice, calm atmosphere with a good mix of customers.

The origin of Wiener coffee shop is here, where they serve Wiener coffee topped with whipped cream. This is a well-known long-established store in Jinbocho that has been around since 1949. The recommended items are as follows:
- Wiener coffee
- Orange cake
Thank you for the meal.

I went and had a Cream Soda cocktail with ice cream on top, soda and liqueur inside, and a cherry on top. This flavor might be enjoyable even for those who don't usually drink alcohol. There is a cover charge of 200 yen due to the alcohol, but you can choose between chocolate, nuts, or olives as a snack. Thank you for the meal!

I was curious about something, so I stopped by the bar during bar time. During bar time, there is a table charge of 200 yen if you order alcohol. Although I was tempted by the original cream soda cocktail, I ended up ordering a single Beefeater gin on the rocks. Even though I ordered a single, the glass was poured like a double, with clear, high-quality ice inside. With just one sip, the refreshing scent of Beefeater's juniper berries and botanicals spread in my mouth. This is definitely London gin. It's delicious. It goes well with chanson. Alcohol, that is. A mix of nuts was served as a snack, costing 800 yen. How about a gin on the rocks to seek coolness on a summer night? Oh, I forgot to take the lovely coaster home!

I visited the second cafe on my Kanda-Jinbocho cafe hopping adventure. This place is said to be the birthplace of Wiener coffee! Amazing! I was curious about the Wiener coffee on the cafe au lait side, so I ordered it. The atmosphere with the lighting and music is excellent! It was delicious as well! I would love to visit again if I have the chance.

I went to a cafe because cappuccino is my current favorite. However, when I looked at the menu, I saw that I could get a Neapolitan and a cappuccino for the same price as a blend or a wiener coffee, which was surprising at 1000 yen! Maybe because they were the first in Japan to offer wiener coffee? And an extra blend costs 200 yen. Amazing. I decided to skip the cappuccino and go for the wiener coffee instead. It was a Sunday, and the cafe was full of female customers and young couples as soon as it opened. The staff were all women, although there may have been a man in the kitchen. It was interesting because I had just been to a nearby cafe where there were only men. I apologize for making gender distinctions based on appearances. Now, back to studying. I learned that "ladrillo" means "brick" in Spanish. The cafe was easy to find in a surprisingly narrow alley, and the entrance was indeed an old brick one, as I confirmed after taking a photo with the group waiting in line.

"Radrio" means "brick" in Spanish. The interior with flowing chansons, brick walls, and the warmth of wood feels very cozy. It gives off a vibe that seems like it has been around since before the war (although it was actually established in 1949). It may be a bit hard to find as it is tucked away in a small alley, but it is lovely. Perfect for a cafe stop during a bookshop tour in Jimbocho. It would be even better if there are wonderful people around. If I lived in Tokyo, I would love to visit during bar time on a weekday. Thank you!"

I visited "La Droite" for the first time after 5 pm. I ordered what is shown in the photo: - Iced coffee 600 yen (tax included). I paid in cash. The taste of the coffee was pleasantly bitter, but what left a stronger impression was the music playing in the store and the atmosphere. There are many coffee shops in the area, so competition must be tough, but I hope they keep up the good work. Thank you for the meal.

The coffee is topped with plenty of whipped cream. What a luxurious coffee! It's called Vienna Coffee♪ and it is said to have been first introduced in Japan at this shop. While it may be a common choice at cafes now, it must have been quite rare when it was first unveiled! You can adjust the sugar to your liking, but it's good without any! After the creamy texture, a hint of bitterness passes by, leaving the aroma of coffee as an aftertaste! It was really delicious!♪~(´ε` ) Thank you for the meal.
